To and from airport...

Can someone please recommend a few decent town car services. There are so many. There are only 2 of us but i travel for work a lot internationally and knowing that somone is a) there to pick you up b) will wait if there are luggage issues makes for a much more relaxing holiday!
Lots of good choices in Orlando.

Mears is the airport’s official ground transportation concessionaire and the largest transportation company in Orlando. Plenty of cars and drivers available 24/7.
Ace Luxury Transportation is popular, as are Access Line Transportation and Tiffany Town Car.
Again, though, truly so many choices.

I have had great experiences with FL Tours. Won't use anyone else, when I have, the experiences have been less than great.

I just went to Universal for a quick birthday trip...flew down Saturday morning and flew back Sunday night, with my husband and daughter. With such a tight schedule, we booked a towncar and the driver was there waiting for us.
Could you tell me what you mean by "town car"? Thanks

Thankyou; I will have a look but honestly with the prices we are getting i think i'm probably going to stick with lyft / uber or a Taxi. We aren't really in any rush and i'd have been happy to pay around $80 before tip each way but $150 is a bit much

Not sure where you are getting your town car pricing. Tiffany is about 185.00 round trip to WDW.
If ride share services work better for you then that is another option.

What is meant by town car is a private driver. They usually meet you at baggage claim, load your luggage for you and take you directly where you want to go. The most popular vehicle for this service is a Lincoln Town Car, at least it used to be.

Quote from Mears $125 not including tip. One Way. Couldn't request quote online for a return trip

Lots of options out there. I like prebooking and prepaying my round trip with Tiffany.
Whatever you choose, have a nice vacation.

My trip in October I thought I would save money and Lyft/Uber to my resort. I ended up with quotes around $100, and that was with a wait.

We used Happy Limousine in late September 2022 and were very pleased with the service. The drivers were both professional and friendly and on time (we had a 4:00 a.m. pickup back to MCO). Since this was our first trip post-Magical Express and we couldn’t decide between the two bus options (Mears had never been a favorite and Sunshine Flyer was too new). I’m glad we chose a car service, something we hadn’t done in a few years. We will definitely use them again.

This is the main reason we plan to use a car service on our next trip. Normally we are team rideshare, use it a lot at home, and around property, but we are flying down the day before Memorial Day and I'm worried about surge pricing. I just want the peace of mind of pre-booking a ride, knowing exactly how much it will cost and being able to prepay in advance.

We used Mears, great service and bus driver was actually early for our pickup back to MCO for our international flight, despite road closures during marathon weekend. Will use them again.

Treated ourselves and booked Tiffanys Transfers for $185. They have been really good so far and responded to all my questions.

Does anyone know where Orlando Airport-A Side-1st Floor By A-8 is? Is it in the airport or is it in a carpark?

I figured $95 and $90 each way - in rush hour (4.20 pick up 3.20 drop off) is worth it for piece of mind and to get to site as quick as possible.

The MCO terminal building is one large building that has two sides, an A side and a B side. Your plane will land at a small building called an Airside, and you’ll take an automated train from there to the terminal. It sounds like your airline arrives at the A side of the terminal, on the third floor. Your luggage will be at the A side baggage claim on the second floor. Once you collect your luggage, go down to the first floor and walk outside to the curb and look at the signs to find the A-8 area and your driver.

BTW MCO has a nice website that can help you get your bearings, as well as an app that can guide you from place to place.

Uber and Lyft are what I always use. If for some reason the apps aren't working, both the resort and airport have taxis that are a few minutes away.

How much are the Mears buses to AKL? We have a large group so can’t do a ride share or town car.

Mears Connect shuttle buses, about $18.00 per person each way to any Disney's resort (also a few other resorts about the Disney complex).

The person who mentioned "baggage issues" raises a disadvantage of booked chauffeured cars (towncars, limos). If upon landing you got caught in a long airline customer service queue to deal with baggage or other unforeseen problems, could you be forced to walk away from your bags or to walk away from your prepaid ride?

Or should you book a later pickup that would take care of most unforeseen delays and hopefully rely only on a short grace period to be granted by your driver?

Car service drivers will wait until luggage issues have been resolved, in most cases.
