I have been MIA as usual. So hard to keep up with everything.

Haven't read back but I did catch that Disney, D&D dog is very ill while I was scrolling down. I am SO SORRY. We just had to put our dog Bubbles down this past year and it is painful. Enjoy the time you have.

I am here to send a GREAT BIG THANK YOU to all of you that sent ornaments to my friend who lost her stuff in the flood. She was moved to tears today at the party. She was especially touched that people she has never met sent her stuff to help her start her Christmas collection.

Here is a picture of her with some of the gifts.

She was also given a 7 Ft. tree.

My DH and I helped her take all the stuff to her home and she dissolved into tears again when she told her DH what we all did. And then she kept saying, "And all these people I have never met sent me stuff. "

Her DH was very grateful too.

Morning all:

Well I'm down to a very barky cough and feeling draggy but I think I finally beat that damn swine!! I think it helps that's it's been beautiful and sunny the last couple of days.

PIKE ~ Fingers crossed that everyone feels healthy for Disney...our annual trip to Great Wolf Lodge is next week so I'm praying DS stays healthy...for some reason he's been fine while the rest of us have been down for the count...he had a cough during the night but still seem OK to go to school this morning.

Got a call from the vet. Disney had blood work on Fri and the results are not good. Kidneys are failing and causing her heart to have problems. Was so upset. Although I knew this was inevitable, it still hurts so hard to be confronted with it. Its so wierd because during the day she seems full of life (slower, but full of life) and she is eating. However, at night she seems to have difficulty and more symptoms. DH and I have decided that we can't "put her to sleep" until that spark goes out of her eye no matter what the vet said. So as of now we are just making her as happy and comfortable as we can and enjoying our last days together.

To top off this wonderful weekend, we got a Trojan virus on Friday and my DH spent all day Sat trying to fix the computer. Luckily it seems like things are better now - $$$ later.

Ev - How much is it to send mail to Canada? I guess I had forgot about that. Don't worry though, us TKers will not leave anyone behind.

sorry Disney is not doing better. It's a hard decision to put a pet down, one I hope I never have to make.

Not sure about the cost to mail me...I'm sure it's more than a normal stamp though. I think it's about 30cents more for me to send to the U.S. but our mail is more expensive than yours.

OMG...Its like there is a dark cloud over our house and EVERYTHING is going wrong.
1. This weekend we get this condom virus that totally messes up the computer. After an entire day it is finally up and running again. $ Ca'-chnig
2. Our 20 year old TV takes a dump and we have to go out and purchase a new one. And since we don't have cable/satellite we have to get an antena and other stuff to make this digital TV compatible w/our old stuff. $$ Ca-ching
3. I go to do the this morning and the cold water valve breaks off in my hand and water is spraying everywhere in the landry room. In a matter of a minute for me to realize what just happened and run downstairs to shut off the main water valve, I can hear water gushing down through the floorboards and flowing down the wall into the basement. It was coming like a waterfall and it couldn't have been more than a minute. The plumber has been called and can't get here til 3pm. $$$ Ca-ching Ca-ching!!!

Please dear God... I have been tested enough this week!!!!

Disney is hanging in there. Same as yesterday. Has a rough night but then in the morning, she is bright-eyed and begging for treats. I think the decision would be easier if she was just lying around looking like she's in pain or something. I'm lovin' her every min I can and giving her all her favorite stuff. Thanks for all the well wishes! It means a lot.

Shmu - I was so happy to see your friend at her Christmas shower. It was a bright spot in my otherwise dreary day. Thanks for sharing that. I (we) wish her all the best.

Glad you got the cruise Disney54us. I loved my 3 day one. I agree about Nassau. I think they are making improvements at CC also.

Sukie---be careful about challenging Wendy to a race...she's one determined lady and she may just beat you! Glad you celebrated Black Friday early with Pikester. Sounds like you got some bargains.

I went shopping Sat too and got 2 outfits. If I would have waited much longer the sizes would not be there. I did not get the top in the color I wanted as it was. The boys shirts at JCP were picked over in M's. Mom only had 2 to choose from---she's won't buy any with pics and stuff on them for the boys.


It was a beautiful day here today. I've got the sniffles. My throat was a little sore this am. My ear is partly closed too. I felt I should have been the one seeing the ear dr today instead of mom.

No notifications again, and I've been out of it for days. The pain with my knee is like nothing I've ever experienced before. I called the doctor this morning and he has switched me from Percocet (which I was taking 2 every 3 hours and watching the clock for the next dose!) to Oxycontin, which I only have to take 3 times a day. What a difference! I feel 1000 times better! Sure, there's still some pain, but it's manageable and I'm not a mess with it.

I'll go back and read through and see what everyone has been up do while i've been in a drug induced haze...

marie what a fiasco!!! why on earth does it take 8 weeks to get a DL?? That's insane! We get ours on the spot here in NJ. I agree with the other poster who said to get a county photo ID or something. You do NOT want to get to the airport and find out he can't fly!!! Is he 18 yet? I think under 18 you don't need a photo ID, but maybe it's 16??

As far as the meds, you're going to Disney honey. Stop the DIET pills!!! Those things are poison anyway. I'd bet money that is the one that's the problem. And if you stop the BCPs you might bring home an unexpected souvenier!

We had 2 beautiful days here yesterday and today. I wasn't able to get out and enjoy it, but I did have my screen door open, which was nice. Supposed to be mid 60s tomorrow, which still is pretty good. At least we don't have the S-word yet!

Hey guys, I just booked the 2010 SS member cruise!!! Can't believe it is 10:10 AM and I got through and booking done. The last two, it took a couple of hours just to get through.
Again I know that I've been MIA but now that the election is over things should slow down a bit and it will give me a chance to read and catch up.

Had a great day shopping today. I found many items that I had on my list and they were on sale too!

One sad thing about today; DS12 has fallen ill. He's been battling a temp of 101 all day the poor thing. DH says that it's a good thing that he is sick now and not when we leave for Disney or while we are at Disney. I just hope that if DS12 decides to share that we all get it right away so we can be done with it before we go too.

LITC The first baby shots are the hardest. mommy doesn't like to hear baby cry.
This year is our 19th anniversary. Next year it will be 20 and DH wants to go back to Maui where we honeymooned. Too bad we can't afford to stay where we did back then. (Had 2 incomes then).
