Hey everyone! Hope all is well with everyone.

Thank you JOCA, Marie, D&D, thanks so much for the well wishing regarding my job situation. I will keep you all posted as to what I hear from them.
Like I said I dont even want to go back, but right now I have to. I cried about it for about an hour this morning. DH picked up Walter and gave me a group hug. It helped alot.

Marie -- thanks for asking, Walter is amazing! You should see how long he is already!! I should try to measure him. At his last visit a week ago Thursday he had already grown an inch and a half!

Marie/Kitty -- if you get any more offers to have people join Pinecone can you let me know? Kitty sent me an invite, and when I switched over to my new email somehow it got lost, noooooooo!!

Pikester -- I hope your birthday celebation for Sukie is wonderful. Pull out some pictures of beana and include those in the party. She can celebrate right with you all!

Bopsmom -- I do not think you are a bad person for feeling this way in the slightest. I have zero respect for cheaters and I think it is great when they get what is coming to them. And why is this woman surprised that the MIL helped? Sounds like she has a shorter attention span than the husband!
Hmmmm maybe I am the bad person here.?.?.?.?.?.

p.s. I am glad you got yor happy ever after!

JOCA -- good for your husband for dealing with his ex situation is such a positive manner. Give him a pat on the back for me!

Kitty --- Walter is interested FOR SURE. He may be sleeping right now so I can't show him the photo, but that is one of the most precious little babies I have ever seen and I would be proud for her to be a part of my family!!!
I hear you on the hinting at the present you want. I "hinted" for like two months one year that all I wanted for Christmas was a massage fromn Marios (a place near our home). What did I get? A pair of battery operated massage slippers from Wal mart, a vibrating back pad to put in the car (that can't get wet so you can't use it in the winter...). He thought those would be better since it would last longer. (to bad those kinds of products never work)
Kitty, love the pics and stories. So glad to finally see a pic of the man in your life. You two are very cute together, and obviously happy. What a sweet comment on Dumbo!!

Kitty - Loved your mini TR about MNSSHP!!!! I don't think I have ever seen pics of your BF. You two look so cute together. :lovestruc Did you like the Headless Horseman?? That was one of my favorites 2 years ago. Its a shame they got skimpy on the candy though. Glad you had a wonderful time.

JOCA and Bopsmom - I too have no sympathy for cheaters. What comes around goes around. KARMA baby - KARMA! Keep doing what you are doing and don't feel bad at all.

LITC - I see we have a betrothal???? Alicia and Walter - Save the date...Oct. 2029. :thumbsup2
 about going back to work. I cried too when I left my sons w/ grandma and headed back to work 7 years ago. It was tough. I did the best I could to work my hours around my boys and spend QUALITY time with them during the times we were together. You'll make it and Walter will be fine. :flower3: Come cry with us any time you need to.

I've finally made some ADRs for our Dec trip. Except for Chef Mickey, we have never tried these other restaurants. Tried to find ones with menus that appealed to my family. Wow, that's tough! Few places seem to serve "normal" food. We're not much on exotic or fancy food. :crazy2:
Let me know what you think...

Wispering Canyon Cafe @Wilderness Lodge for dinner
Mama Melrose - Dinner
Kona Cafe for Breakfast
Chef Mickey for Breakfast

Hello ladies!

D&D...this last trip we ate at Mama Melrose and Kona Cafe. We LOVED Kona cafe...the food was delicious and oh so fast. We didn't feel rushed to get out of there either. I had the macadamia pancakes--yummy!

Mama Melrose was a bust for us. We had dinner there. Our waitress was not friendly or helpful at all. She said that the chicken parm was the most popular dish, so we ordered it. Yuck! The chicken was burned and hard, the sauce was downright tasteless. There wasn't much "magic" there. BF had a chocolate cake dessert, I had the tiramisu. Neither one of us were thrilled by that either. Usually a good dessert can rescue a bad dinner, but it didn't happen with this one.

I would recommend 50's Prime Time cafe...we had dinner there our other night at DHS. The atmosphere was so much fun, our waiter was great. I got the meatloaf and BF got the fried chicken. The chicken was so good BF wouldn't even let me taste it! And he got four pieces! We both agreed there was pixie dust in our mashed potatoes...because those were unbelievably delicious. BF got the ice cream sundae (apparently he can eat ice cream with every meal). I got the Boston Cream cupcake--I cannot sing any higher praises for that dessert! It was a yellow cupcake, vanilla filling, with chocolate ganache as frosting! And it was HUGE. I actually got a box to go with my leftover cupcake as well as a togo cup for my leftover lemonade! It was one of our favorite meals the entire trip....

Thank you both for the comments on BF. I think he's a cutie too. He actually looks a lot like a younger Kevin Bacon. I tease him a lot about Footloose.

Did you see that story about the interracial couple who were denied a marriage license? That just upset me so much. To think not too long ago, BF and I would be considered an unacceptable couple...him for his disability, me coz I'm non-white. I thought we were well past that! I'm glad its getting the news coverage though, and I hope that justice gets his own version of justice!

We did see the Headless Horseman! That was so cool! We liked the parade a lot, but we were at a bad spot, so most of my pictures have everyone facing to the right...

LITC...it is going to be so hard for you leave your precious Walter. But you're doing it, as so many fantastic women are, FOR Walter and your life together. go ahead, cry. Its completely understandable. And kiss him for me. I'll tell Alicia I've found her the most amazing boyfriend!

PS--I'll keep an eye out for another Pinecone invite. Have you tried Toluna? They also pay $1-3/survey. You can just join that one.

Howdy ladies! First I thing I gotta do is comment on what a wonderful picture you have posted for us LITC. WOW! You have a beautiful family! I am so sorry that you are struggling with having to go back to work. It can't be easy I know but I know you will make it through somehow.

Kitty , I loved all your photos too! Finally we get to see a photo of the elusive BF! You do make a lovely couple. Thanks for sharing your trick or treat fun. Your niece Alicia is a beauty too. She and Walter are going to make a perfect couple! I don't think men take hints well. I have learned that it is best to come right out and TELL THEM what you want. Otherwise you may very likely end up with a substitution, as LITC found out.

D&D, good for you getting some of those ADRs made! I know what you mean about trying to find something that appeals to your family. Many, many years I have heard about all the wonderful food options that WDW has in comparison to DL. Now that I have the chance to go I really won't even to get to do much with the abundance of choices because my bunch is so picky! I tried to go with the "normal" stuff too. Thank heavens you can read up on the menus before hand. (I am really glad to hear Kitty give such a good review for Prime Time Cafe!)

Another fairly uneventful day around here. We went to church and afterwards had lunch with our adopted Grandpa. We had not apparently seen him since September. He had lots to tell us and sweetly surprised us by picking up the tab. He is a real character! He was sharing stories today about his latest travels. He takes his cats with him in his camper. One of them even walks on a leash AND get this... will let him brush his teeth with an electric toothbrush! Quite a hilarious thing to see! I am not sure his cats really know they are cats.
Did more Christmas shopping this afternoon. I would say I am 75% through now. Now I just gotta pick up stocking stuffers, a few gift cards and get everything wrapped before December. I had to replace my countdown ticker thanks to ************** :headache: but what a pleasant surprise to realize that we are down to 1 month and 2 weeks! So much to get done before then!

Good Monday morning ladies! Although still cold, the sun is out and shining. I'm presently watching all the leaves fly by my window. Our trees are practically bare already. But the week is supposed to be mild in temperature, so I don't mind at all!

I finally watched Slumdog Millionaire last night. I really enjoyed it! I guess the depiction of such abject poverty made some uncomfortable, but being witness to similar situations in the Phils, I completely understood it. I actually was holding my breath during the last half hour of it!

LITC, thank you for sharing such beautiful pictures of your growing family! You look so happy and Walter is such a cutie! :lovestruc

Marie, I think its wonderful that your family has adopted grandparents. May I ask how you found each other? I tried to teach my cat to walk on a leash and it quickly got ugly. He was very angry with me. There is no way I'd be able to get near him with a toothbrush! My vet told me that I should be brushing his teeth, even gave me some fish flavored toothpaste, but I don't like to be scratched and clawed. We've compromised by using tartar control treats.

Hope everyone is having a good start to a new week!

Crack out the shorts and open the windows....its going to be 60 today! :cool1::banana::yay: Saw the snow in New England this weekend during the football game. That soooo didn't look right in Oct.

LITC - That family pic with the fall background is FANTASTIC!!! I say Christmas Card material! :thumbsup2 (The other pic is cute too. :cutie:)

Marie - So jealous that both you and Sukie have almost ALL their Christmas shopping done. I am one of the crazies who goes out on Black Friday and fights for the bargains. Its a sickness, I know! Hope all mine is done by the time we leave in Dec.

Kitty - Its funny you mentioned about brushing your cat's teeth. When we got our dog as a pup the first thing the vet told us is to start brushing her teeth now. We did now it doesn't even phase her. I know cats are different and we are lucky because our dog is very lax. When we ran out of dog tooth paste, we started using a teeny tiny bit of Crest or Colgate and now she even likes that. Whatever works I guess.

Pikester - Hope Sukie's b-day party went well, even though it will be a tough one this year. The holidays are tough too, but we're here when you need us and we'll get you through. :grouphug:

Hi everyone!
Love coming back to see pictures. :cloud9: What a bunch of cuties.
Bopsmom You are normal to feel smug re ex's wife. I'd be very happy except for their son. I'm sad for him.

Tried hiding the smashed pill, didn't work. We have improved our technique so we aren't getting scratched. Only another week (sigh).
We painted all weekend. Hate textured walls. :headache: Still need to do the floor molding. When we moved the furniture discovered we need to wash the floors. Really should move the furniture more often. :rolleyes1 We ordered new blinds on Monday and they arrived Friday. Guess the blind place doesn't have a lot of work at the moment. (I was given 10 days for delivery). I've lost the enthusiasm I had at first. Don't want to lay on the floor painting the molding nor wash the floors. Want to DIS, haven't been on in 3 days. So there. :snooty:

DL55...you can do it! :cool1: I know what you mean about losing steam after starting a project. Take a little break today, call it "making a plan". Plan what you want to do first, what you need to do it, and when you're going to start. You've gotten so much finished already, its just a little bit more! (but I don't blame you for not wanting to do the moulding....you may have to share that chore with someone else:rolleyes1)

MagiKitty I would share but DH lost interest even quicker than me. :rotfl2: Friday was fine but on Saturday he was distracted by football. Sunday is his golf day so half the day was shot before it begun. (I always call my mom on Sundays also). I have a plan, just hard to get my behind in gear. ;)

Hello everyone. It was almost nice here today....into the 50's at least. I prefer it to warmer but it sure beats the 30's we had last week.

Magikitty, I think I forgot to tell you that I loved your MNSSHP review. We went a few years ago and loved it. It's my favorite out of all the parties and we've been to all 3 that they have had. You and your boyfriend make such a cute couple.

LITC, aww, your little boy is so precious. All 3 of you make a wonderful family. I hope when you have a minute to spare, you'll post more pictures.

Thank you all for the awsome comments on the pics. I wish Walter wasn't crying in the second one, but that's my boy!
Hoping for some sleep tonight. Didn't get much last night.

I was going to wait until this afternoon when I had more time but I am gonna respond just so you don't have to panic, LITC! Some of us are still out here! How are you and that sweet baby today? Hope you got in a little rest last night.

Just wrapped up DD's school. We learned about Samuel Morse and the telegraph today. I've been busy most of the day with misc. stuff. I started cashing out all my reward programs for the upcoming trip. I have managed to rack up $430 of assorted gift cards so far! :woohoo: That's gonna come in handy when I start feeling guilty about all the money we will be spending. I am also fixin to print some restaurant coupons and look for some more. Also got the Entertainment book on the way. I think I am doing my part to save us a few dollars.
Embarq has been bought out so our internet has been iffy all day. I hear it is supposed to be even worse tomorrow. Here's hoping the upgrades they are doing make a big difference in out DSL speed!

Kitty, we met both our adopted grandparents at the church we used to attend. While we didn't come away feeling too good about the church at least we did have the fortune of meeting them there. Both are widowers and both are ornery as can be which is probably why we fit together so well.

D&D, I would have to have a sickness too to get out and shop with those Black Friday crowds! :scared1:

DL55, I would have lost my enthusiasm long before you have! Just keep telling yourself how great everything will look when you are done.

Hello to everybody else out there!

Okay guys does anyone have a recipe for Swedish meatballs or tuna casserole? Never made either but thinking my kids might even eat it if I had a really good recipe. Anybody?
