M&N - sorry about your uncle. Loved you joke. I'm a sucker for corney jokes. The one that still makes me laugh out loud every time I hear it is...

This horse walks into a bar and the bartender asks, "Why the long face?" :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Just had to post a joke that my DS11 told me yesterday.

What is the last thing that goes through a bugs mind when it hits the windshield?

It's rear end!

:lmao:

My DS8 told me me one too.

How many skinny people does it take to fill a bathtub?

I don't know because they keep slipping down the drain!

:rotfl:

 Disney54us!!!!!! Nice to "see" you!!!

I asked the kids what they wanted for dinner tonite. DD, bless her heart, said "can we all just have what we want and I can eat my enchilada?" (I had gotten her a frozen enchilada dinner). So DS pipes up with "yeah, and I can have eggs!" Hey, works for me! I reheated my leftovers from last nights yummy dinner out.

Now I just have to think of something for tomorrow....Hmmm, sandwiches or Michele's BBQ???

Going to a Graduation party at 8 tonite. Havent seen this kid since he was about 10. Heck, I havent seen his MOM (one of my best friends from college) in 2 years, and they only live 10 minutes from here!!:confused3

Too long!!! thanks! Miss you guys too!

:rotfl:cute, sometimes I think those 8 year old jokes are the best.

Nice to see you too, skinny! That would work for me, enjoy the graduation party, HS or college?

Taking a break, have been making phone calls to follow up on a invites for a event we are having in town. I know I've been gone for a while, so to refresh I'm on an event's committee. Anyhoo, I am only on page two of maybe 50 each page. Blah, blah repeat the same thing over and over and over:scared1:.

YEAH! Hi Disney54us! Now I can cross you off my list. We do have a few wonderful additions to our great group. Just come whenever you can. I don't do FB or anything else. It's all I can do to keep up here. :surfweb:

Whgrn: I knew something would pop up for dinner. Just take it one meal at a time! Isn't it awful that we do not see some friends who are really close to us? Schedules just get so busy.

Pikester--I just used to love the jokes the kids in school told. It's cute to see what they think is funny.

I had some cherries this week...:woohoo: I could not resist, even though they were 3.99 a lb. They were worth it though. I'm supposed to have 3 fruits a day. That's not easy to do.

I'm picking Mom up early tomorrow for VA. I'll wave to Pepper as I cross the bridge-tunnel. Don't have any interesting discussions while I'm gone...:rolleyes1

Want to comment on the 3 fruits a day M&N. When I did WW they said that you needed to eat 3 servings of fruit and/or veggies a day. It sounds like a lot until I learned that a 1/2 cup is a serving. After that it didn't seem so hard. Of course I never seem to be able to eat that now. I seem to be eating 3 servings of chocolate and or other junk food a day instead.

Evening. The dis has been so slow for me lately that I've been avoiding posting. It is just taking forever for anything to load. Plus I've just been having one of those blah days. Didn't feel like doing anything at all.

marie, I wanted to comment on your schedule before. Everything looks great. The one day you had an MK or AK option down. If you only have one definite day at AK scheduled, I would try to add another. It really is an interesting park to stroll around and just look at everything. Festival of the Lion King is not to be missed. We really enjoyed Flights of Wonder when we saw it too.

disney54us, well stranger, seems I missed you on here. Can I take you out of my siggie yet?

whgrn, those are my favorite kind of dinner nights. Though with 6 of us, those can still turn into an ordeal. :lmao:

D&D, those outrageous characters are all part of his charm. :rotfl2: I saw some of the other pictures from the movie and it just looks strange. I can't even imagine the spin that Tim Burton is going to put on this story.

Has anyone seen Magikitty lately?

M&N & Pikester, loved your jokes. :rotfl: Corny jokes work for me too!

M&NSo far no really noticeable facial hair. I do worry about my upper lip sometimes but I blame it on the lighting in the bathroom. I am in charge of trimming DH's ear and nose hair. :scared: The problems of growing old..
When I first read this I wondered why you had lightning in your bathroom. Need to slow down reading or get my eyes checked!
lulntard.gif
Hey, I have to keep a check on my DH's ear and nose hair too. Thank heavens I am at least not sprouting hairs like that! Ewwwww!

Welcome back, disney54us!

racetrack18kb, thanks for the suggestion on my itinerary. I was thinking the MK or AK day would most likely be AK, at least for me and DD. I know she is going to love it cause she is animal crazy... just not so sure about the men folk. So, the 2 options were more or less if they wanted to split up or if we love MK as much as we love Disneyland and just don't think we are gonna get our fill. I am pretty sure I will get parkhoppers most specifically so we have the option to go back on the last few days to redo anything we want to repeat or feel we missed. Glad to hear AK get a good review. It seems like it more often gets a low rating compared to some of the other parks. However, that means we will probably like it even better because we generally agree with the minority.

Hey...does anyone know of any good WDW deals in Nov? Preferrably Nov. 1-18th? Southwest Airlines is going to start flying out of Milwaukee and they are offering SUPER deals of $35 one way to Orlando!!!!!:woohoo::woohoo: I priced a sample itinerary and it would be only about $365 for the 4 of us to fly. WOW!! So I am looking for an excuse to go. Don't know if I can afford another vacation this year but at that price I can't afford not to - right????::yes::

We also go some bad news last night. My sis had another miscarriage. This time in her second trimester. She has 2 girls under the age of 5. This is her 3rd miscarriage in 2 years. Any prayers or thoughts you could send her way would be appreciated. Thanks!

Good morning Tkers!

marie: I agree with racetrack about AK. We enjoyed walking the Pangani Forest Exploration Trail, Maharajah Jungle Trek and The Tree of Life and Discovery Island Trails. We also liked the Flights of Wonder bird show. Don't forget about The Oasis. This is the path that all guests must walk through on there way in to and out of the park. Most people just pass it by getting to the rides. We also did the Wildlife Express to Rafiki's Planet Watch. The kids were able to talk with a CM about a lizard and they have some spiders, bugs and other small creatures to observe. They also have a window to observe the veterinary hospital and nursery. Outside is a petting zoo with sheep and maybe a goat or two. Now, that all sounds really cool but we didn't really enjoy it that much. One of the trains broke down so we ended being stuck on the island longer then we wanted to be. Made us miss The Festival of the Lion King.

Not sure if DH and DS will like any of it but I have a feeling your DD will love it!

Disney54us So glad you could join us for awhile. :)

D&DDisney So sorry about your sis.

mariezp We enjoy AK. We always like to go to zoos and aquariums. As Pikester mentioned those trails are real nice to look at animals at your own pace. We always do park hoppers cause we have short attention spans. :lmao: Like to go to different parks at different times.

My friend who is going in Oct got a PIN for free dining yesterday!! Her sister actually got the PIN but because they are all book on one ressie they are letting in apply to all 7 of them.

Got this email today, good for a morning giggle:

Thank you BKMETV for the giggles. I liked #3 and #12.

D&D, so sorry about your DSis.

Ev, loved the one liners.

Its a rainy day here in NJ--what a surprise! I am feeling as blah as the weather. Tired, queasy, unmotivated. I did take DD to school this AM for testing, and I did her social update with the CST director. And this afternoon I went to the mall and picked up my suitcase which has been repaired. Now I need a nap. The kids have been at the computers ALL DAY--I told them not to get used to that...

The graduation party was fun. It was so good to see my friend. Her boys are all grown up (16 and 18), and she couldnt get over how big my kids have gotten.

Now my cable is out and Glenn Beck didnt record and I couldnt watch it and I am NOT happy!!

I really need a nap.

MK, where are you?

Well thank you ladies for such rave reviews and details on AK! I have added the advice to my ever growing stash of notes. As mentioned, I think DD and I will enjoy AK just fine but our guys get bored with the zoo real fast so I am sure just the fact that the place has animals will make them "think" zoo and automatically not make it one of their favorite parks.

D&DDisney, I wish I had some great deals to tell you about. Your airfare deal sounds like a fantastic start!
I am so sorry for your sis. I cannot even begin to imagine having gone through one miscarriage much less 3. Poor thing. Will send a prayer her way.

DL55, I am with you on the short attention span! (Which is something really annoying when you try to teach your child... and she has a short one too. Quite the challenge!) Finally another fan of park hoppers! We are really spoiled to them from DL. I know it is gonna be a lot more complicated to hop around at WDW but still will be worth it to us.

whgrn, I really wish you could send me some of your rain! I noticed that some of my plants were drooping today. Still waiting for DH to get around to turning the sprinklers on. I guess if he waits long enough it will all be burned up and then I won't have to worry about it.

BKMETV, I can so relate with #s 2, 4, 10 & 17.
I needed a good laugh today. It's been one of those gloomy sort of days. :eeyore: I'm bloated, my insensitive DH insulted my weight last night and even when I am trying the darn scale seems to refuse to budge!

I did have another small twisted chuckle when DH brought the mail in at lunch. I told him apparently we have done past the attention of the AARP mailings.

Today we received a information request packet from the local funeral home. :scared1:

Hey everyone! Sorry I've been missing these last few days. Just got so crazy busy around here! Just wanted to check in and let you know that I didn't get swallowed up by my closet (yet). I'll be back after I read up on all that I've missed these last couple days....big hugs to all of you!

It's good you checked in, Kitty. We were just about to send in a search party!

Just wanted to hi-lite some of my favorites. Had to comment on #11. My DH calls it the nighttime, sniffling, sneezing, coughing, aching, how in the hell did I end up on the kitchen floor medicine.

Hey everyone-Need to get caught up on a few pages worth here, but not really staying on tonight, my lap top battery only has a few minutes left on it. Just wanted to say Hi and let you know I'm not really MIA or anything! :thumbsup2

Don't jinx me (haha) I'm trying! Bopsmoms posted on FB, seems from her post she has been sick.

Welcome back, disney54us!

Thanks Marie, hope to spend more time on here and get to 'know you better'.

Disney54us So glad you could join us for awhile. :)
