Hello everyone, thanks for all the kind words about our pictures!

Kitty--They were taken behind the office building in our apartment complex, and I walked past that area today and almost all those leaves are gone already!!

Marie-- This formula business is so frustrating, we've tried 3 in addition to nursing and I'm not sure I notice a difference. Poor guy. I wish I could just make him feel better.

D&D--Love the pumpkins, we just bought Walter one, but we haven't bothered to carve it!
And yes those are matching mickey mouse sweaters, that we bought to wear on our honeymoon, 10 years ago!!!! We rarely wear them the are very thick and very warm and sometimes just too much to wear!
That's awesome that you all are collecting for food banks.

M&N-- thank you, his daddy likes to joke about the spider on that outfit also!!
Sorry to hear abot your cousin, it is a shame the way our economy is and that you cant work a decent job anymore.

Pepper--Happy birthday and I am sorry to hear about your internet problems. Isn't it amazing how scary those are nowadays?

Wendy--hope all goes well with the surgery, nothing like scareing you a bit first, huh??

Gonna run for now, have quite the headache. Daddy is with Walter so I am going to try and close my eyes for a few.

I'll be thinking of you Wendy! Don't be giving the nurses a hard time ya hear!

What a cold and dreary day it was here today. I went for a jog/run this morning and it was misting. By the time I was done it had started to sprinkle and I was ready for a hot shower.

I see that my Mom wants to send Christmas Cards to eveyone. I hope you don't mind if I take a look at the addresses that you send her and send you a card of my own.

So, what else is new around here?

Magikitty, where are you?

Hello. I had a busy day here. We went to the new house and started getting things unpacked and set up. Since next week is our last week here, I took most of our pots and pans over. All our good dishes and miscellaneous kitchen stuff is over there too. I just have to go over tomorrow to unpack it all and put it away. I figure once we start staying there, I'd like to have some of the unpacking already done.

whgrn, good luck with your surgery tomorrow. I'll say a prayer for you.

Pikester, we had had a cold and dreary day here too. I am so tired of this rain.
And if it's not raining, it just overcast and yucky. I want to see the sun again.

JOCA it seems like moving "by degrees" is harder in some ways, but better in others. I hope it goes smoothly for you. I just know I HATE moving--they'll move me out of here in a pine box!!

whgrn, you're absolutely right about it being harder in some ways. I've found that I packed some things that I thought we wouldn't need at all but found out that for one reason or another, we did need it. It's like never ending running back and forth between the 2 places.

I do think, in the end it will be easier since we've had time to unpack quite a bit before we actually move in. I won't have to hunt out and unpack the boxes of our cookware our first night there. I'm hoping by the time we are done, most of the unpacking will be done. And it has actually saved on the amount of boxes we have needed.

Go Phillies! I cannot believe they won the 1st one! The last 6 years, the team that won the 1st game won the series! :yay::yay::yay:

Hey Wendy---new knees are wonderful. Mom has had 2 done. The main challenge is the therapy and I know you have the determination and will follow through with that. About the email notifications...I noticed I was not getting them for some. I just noticed that when you subscribe to the threads you have to use the pop down thing to get them. The option showing is no email notifications. I could not see how to change it once you subscribe. I had thought there was a place that you opted in for all notifications when you registered but I guess not! Unsubscribe and do it again and see if it works. :confused3

Hey everyone else too! I'm volunteering at school this afternoon with the art teacher. She's teaching 1st graders how to weave...a very stressful time for her and she said she can use extra hands and eyes. They just don't get the over and under needed or they don't bother to listen and follow directions...

It's still cloudy and dreary...not looking forward to winter...you have to add in the cold then! Although my Racer friend would not agree, 50's aren't that bad if the sun were out.

Morning all:

Been crazy around here. The flu is everywhere, third of kids are absent from school. Kate was home yesterday and today with a sore stomach and low grade fever. Today Matt and Tod have joined her...they have coughs/aches & pains. According to the Chief Medical Officer for Ontario 99% of it is N1H1!! Even though so many kids are sick they aren't going to close the schools either.:confused3

Anyways we'll have to see if we get out for Halloween on Sat.

Hope the surgery goes OK Wendy.

Hi everyone else.

Go Phillies! I cannot believe they won the 1st one! The last 6 years, the team that won the 1st game won the series! :yay::yay::yay:

Hey, the 7th time is the charm.

YANKEES in 6.

HaHa M&N I knew someone would make a comment about my computer use.
Yeah for the Phillies..I always root against the Yankees. ;)
It was 34 this morning when I walked the dog. Days like this is when I miss So Cal. :cold:

Here are some pictures of my kitchen/ family room:

Imagine the walls dingy off white..that's what they were before.

Yea I have a naughty kitty. She also thinks that nothing else belongs on the counter. She'll eventually knock everything off. She also likes to hide in the sink. I wonder if she really thinks a black cat can hide in a white sink. :rotfl:

I forgot to mention it's my DD's 25th birthday. She received a cold for her birthday.

Hey DL55 ~ great kitchen...hope your DD is able to enjoy her birthday despite her cold.

I'm going stir crazy stuck home with all these sick folks...I'm only really suffering from a low grade fever, but figured I better stay home than go out and share my germs.

Afternoon ladies! Sorry I've been MIA as of late, but I've been way busy getting ready for my trip next week. Who's the resident secretary? I'm coming back late Dec 4th, so look for me sometime after that. I will try to get online as I am able to to check up on everyone!

Good news! Yesterday I went down to the city---horrible day to do it with the rain and Times Square being prepped for the Yankees pep rally---to avenge myself on Millionaire! I had to re-audition as I had qualified for the Regis show via phone. So I arrived at ABC studios, lined up with everyone else. We were led into the studio and seated, then took the test. It was on scan-tron! It was like taking the SATs all over again. They took our answer sheets and then we sat through three tapings of the show. Pure torture! Afterwards, they announce those who had passed, and I did!

There were 8 of us that passed and after everyone left, we were taken to the back to be interviewed by the producers. They asked questions similar to the questionnaire I had to fill out in August...then they took my picture and had me sign all sorts of releases. They did tell me that I'd be in the contestant pool for 3 years, and they could call me at any time. I do hope they call, just not in the next month!

Aside, Merideth Vierra is VERY nice. She's tiny and had the best pair of black patent leather Christian Laboutin shoes on! She's rather wrinkled but still absolutely gorgeous.

Ok, going back to read the past posts and I'll be back!

Ok, ok, quickly caught up...

First thing....GO YANKEES! I got ya on this one, Wendy. By this time, I imagine you're out of surgery and are the proud owner of a new knee! Take it slow, sister, and get well soon.

JOCA...sounds like although its going slow, you have this entire move thing well done. And good for you to save on the boxes! That expense really does add up.

DL55...the rooms look amazing! I love the wall color, warm yet very classy. I think the paw print is awesome! You should put your own handprint on there somewhere too. And your kitty is so very sexy lying on the counter....Happy Birthday to DD and hope she feels better!

Ev, sorry you and practically the entire province is sick! And although it is nice to share, you're probably better off keeping those germies to yourself. I give you permission to veg on the couch and enjoy some lazy time...you need to give all your strength to fighting off those sickies.

So, how are we doing the address list? Should we just make one master list and pass it around, or just give address to address?

Pikester.... for the Halloween wishes. I've never gotten one before! I feel so special!

I'm not getting any notifications either....

M&N..hope you enjoyed your day weaving! I don't know many adults who would have enough patience to weave, much less some kiddoes. Oh yeah, did I mention, GO YANKEES!

(you gotta admit that the Yankee roster has some good looking men. I don't even follow baseball but darn if some of them aren't just cutie-pies!)

 Everyone! Its almost Friday.....

Hey, the Phillies have some cuties too! My fav player is Shane Victorino---he's from Hawaii. He's always smiling and goofing off. He's fast on the bases too.

Not going to exercise today. 3 1/2 hrs walking around a classroom is enough. They had to fold the black paper and cut it for the loom. Then they had 2 colors they could choose of construction paper. They then had to go over and under, over and under...etc. I wish I knew how many times I said that today or asked if that was over or under. So all the first color matched and all the other color matched. This also made a pattern. (another vocab word) Some just could not get it. They weren't allowed to do but 2 rows at a time before getting it checked...some needed it! Many went over 2 before going under again. It's amazing how many ways they could mess it up! And then there were those who wanted you to do it for them. Most did it ok but it's frustrating to try and watch the entire class...she was really thankful for the help.

Great pics DL55. Loved the color. The cat did seem like he owns the place.

I just know you will get a chance Kitty. When you go on with her you don't have to do the part against the other people do you? I cannot keep track of when you will be back to remind everyone because I'll be gone by then and not back until 17th. Someone else will have to keep track of who's on vacation and due back when. Racetrack usually did that. I can make up a master Christmas card list for those wanting one. If all who want to be included would pm me their address, I can pm everyone the list that is on it. Does that make sense? I will not give it to anyone that is not on it. I have WHGRN and LITC down for the card list already.

Sounds like we all need some pixie dust to keep well! Has anyone gotten the swine flu shot? I just got the regular one.

Got this email today and thought some of you could relate!
