Good afternoon TKers!

What a beautiful day it is here in NH!

I'm suppose to be doing all kinds of chores but have only done a few. Hey Magikitty, guess what I did? I cleaned a closet!

I've been getting lots of phone calls from Sukie who is out shopping today. She keeps asking me questions about things that she finds for the kids. I may have all my Christmas shopping done yet! And she may get all her's done too!

I have my DS11's birthday coming up in October. I can't believe he is going to be 12!

There is NO WAY that I am getting old. My DH is going to be 40 January. I can totally believe that he is getting old but not me!

Nothing much else is going on today. I hope you all are having a good day!

You guys are all so mean--wishing a HUGE baby on LITC!!! I think I was the only one under 8 pounds. Shame, shame on you all!!

JOCA Mom, I forgot to say welcome! I do believe you need to vote in our little poll. I bet you're a good guesser;)

I found a Jonas Brothers poster for DD for her birthday--she wants it soooo badly! Also a couple of Wii games from Grandma and Aunt Deb. My big gift to her is a new cell phone. (nice Mommy!)

DSis is safely back in Turkey and already miserable in the heat and humidity. Not to mention missing all of us. We're both counting the days til January when she returns, and hoping and praying that it won't be necessary for her to come back sooner.

Spending the day at Mom's today. DD is a a football game with Grandpa. So we went and bought out WalMart (Mom's favorite activity) I took DS over to the Farmers Market this morning and he was fascinated by it. They have a really good one here, nothing like it by us. There is even an Amish butcher--we got some Scrapple!

Enjoy your weekend everyone. If your weather is like ours, its a beaut!

Hey Wendy! My DS11 was 9lbs 2oz, 21 inches and DS8 was 9lbs 8oz, 20 1/2 inches. The 8lbs 3oz, 21 inches I predicted for LITC is small to me! Oh, and they were both natural births, I was feeling really good but they still came out the natural way.

Afternoon ladies! Still loading things onto the computer, but seems to be going welll.....

Wendy, it sounds like you have a wonderful weekend (except for missing your sister).

Pikester, I don't care what kind of pressure you put on me...I'm STILL ignoring my closet! :rotfl:

But look what I did find when I tried to clean up the dining room:

Its Puny's cousin! I'm calling him Captain Moony,

It was my brother's birthday yesterday. The twins surprised all of us and came home. My nephew is really struggling with deciding whether to defer the semester. He's having trouble sleeping, and concentrating, and he has a terrible course load: physics, organic chemistry, statistics, and english. I keep telling him to drop a class, if he stays. I don't want to be the person to tell him to stop going to college this term, but honestly, I think its going to get a bit worse before it gets better.

I've seen plenty of newborn babies...and regardless of their weight, they look huge to me (in relation to its outbox).

I want to pack so badly to vacation! I've been reading the posts about the Halloween party last night...I'm so excited!

Magikitty, I was wondering how your DN was doing. He probably has PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). I am not a Dr but I play one on TV and that sounds like what he may be going through.

Captain Moony is so going to MNSSHP right?

Happy Birthday to your Brother!

Hey there Pikester...how you?

yes, I totally agree re:PTSD. Its been a few weeks, and its been more about his physical recovery thus far. But now, as I told him the "holy crap" factor is beginning to wear down, and he's having to deal mentally/emotionally with the enormity of what happened. He also feels guilty (unnecessarily) that earlier this summer, we had gone up to look for apartments, and were supposed to be with the guy. He didn't show up (thank goodness). My nephew feels so bad about "what could have been", saying "Auntie, something could have happened to both of us that day...."

There's a lot for him to digest. I think its his ego that's holding him back. I keep telling him to defer the semester, and he can take the summer session, and be back on track next fall. I really don't know what to tell him other than to consider all alternatives and to choose the best one for him right now.

Captain Moony is SO going to MNSSHP! Shmu and I are going to meet up, so the cousins will meet too! Its so funny that I found him. I have no recollection of where he came from (apparently McDonalds at some point).

I'm doing well. DH took both kids to a dirt racetrack in Bradford, VT so I'm enjoying the peace and quiet. I plan on watching my recorded Ghost Hunter episodes and I'm on my second Fuzzy Navel(I make them weak). So yummy! Right now I'm watching VH1's I love the new Millennium. It's at 2004.

Someday I'd like to go to Disney for the MNSSHP. I think I would like that better then MVMCP. I really love Christmas stuff but that party just doesn't look as worth it to me as the Halloween party does.

You tell DN that I said he needs to take care of himself. College will always be there.

Might be small to you, but I guarantee it wouldn't be small to LITC!!:lmao: I was only 6# 2 oz, so i guess I'm going by that.

1-- That is just way too funny that you found him. We have a new co-mascot!!

2--I think that course load would be daunting for anyone. But for DN, way too much. I would definitely recommend dropping at least one class, if not 2. Like you say, he can make it up in the summer. I totally agree with the PTSD diagnosis. Counseling might be a good idea.

3--:lmao::rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2: MK, you kill me!!!

DD is obsessed with Taylor Swift these days, listens to her music constantly. I absolutely cannot get her one song out of my head. Then again, all her music sounds alike to me...

DS was so cute today. He asked my Mom if he could sweep out her garage! And was just so happy to do it. Tomorrow we are having a "weeding party"--some of our weeds are taller than I am. DS wants to know if his friend can come over for it. Hey, many hands make light work, right?

Wendy, what did you do? How did you raise such great kids??? That's so wonderful about DS cleaning the garage and enjoying it. It is so very sweet and darling of him. Do you rent him out? :lmao:

Hi again. Thanks for the welcome. I don't think I've "killed" any threads on the Disboards yet. Is it still ok if I post here even if I don't meet the requirements?

Sure! Why not. You'll have plenty of time to "kill" one eventuality.

Can I play too? I am still pretty new, but I can kill a thread just by reading it! :rotfl:

Most definitely! Do you also post on threads and get ignored? Some of us have had that happen too.

On occasion, but I probably ask a question that has been asked about 100 times before...especially about ADRs... ;)

:lmao::rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2: No, I don't rent him out, but I'll pay you to take him for a day or 3.:lmao:

He really can be very sweet when he wants to be. Unfortunately, that isn't very often...

Pikester, now you're going to have me dreading posting here. Now I'm wondering if I should be waiting for the other shoe to drop.

whgrn, we are moving in 2 months. Do you think your son will come and give mine a kick in the rear to get him to start helping out here?

Welcome aboard TMcDwyer and welcome back JOCA's Mom! Nothing to worry about on here, we've all been through it. There are all sorts on the Dis, good and bad. But you both found the good ones here!

TMcDwyer....ask away about ADRs. I'm heading down in a month and I am full-on ADR panicking!

JOCA's mom...congrats on the move! Where are you moving to?

Hi Magikitty. Nice to meet you.

We are only moving about 10 minutes from where we are now but it puts us in another school district. I have 4 kids and though the elementary and middle schools are ok here, the high school stinks. I have to think about what is important for my older kids long term prospects are. And down the line, what my younger kids prospects are.

I see you have a WDW vacation planned soon. Do you have everything ready?

You girls are killing me here! More earlier Christmas shoppers! Maybe I can just hope it will rub off on me. I did do some shopping online for shoes today but it was for our trip. Do you think the guys would let me call that their Christmas? I didn't think so.

Wendy, I was thinking the same thing! Why wasn't everyone guessing a small baby for LITC? I said 7 lbs. That was what my son weighed and he was perfect. Although when you are going through labor I think they all probably seem like they must be about 20 pounds but I doubt she wants to hear that. Just remember epidurals are your friend! I tried to go natural but just couldn't make it. Almost had to because they could not find the key to get access to the stuff they needed. Doesn't really matter in the end. When you see your little angel you will forget most of the pain because you will be so in love with your new little person.

Kitty you cracked me up with your "outbox" comment! I hope your DN decides to take it slow and easy and doesn't push himself too much. That's the kind of stuff that will sneak up on you if you just try to ignore it.

Oh goodie! JOCAmom is back and a new guest too! Welcome TMcDwyer! Looks like you both will fit in just fine.

I made my second ADR online this morning! Rainforest Cafe, 6:15 on Dec. 3. I'm going to have to brave the phone line in the morning to try to get a Candlelight Package. Ya'll wish me luck!
