Message for Sukie---Thanks for the poem. It was a really neat thing to have included in the service. I hope things are going good for you. Don't forget we still need to hear all about that cruise---and a pic or two.

LITC - So sorry you are not only uncomfortable, but now it is affecting your health too.
When I had enough of being pregnant, I remeber trying all the old "remedies" they tell ya about. For 2 weeks, all the walking, spicey food, etc. did not work. So we decided to try the last remedy -- Lovin'.

Within 6 hrs I was in labor. ;) And yes, I was super uncomfortable, but ya know ya get to the point where you're like I'll do anything to move this along. DH was happy to comply.

LITC sorry you are so uncomfy and feeling poorly. Hope you get to feelin' better right quick! That little LITC-let is sure giving you a run for your money! Keeping you in my prayers.

M&N :cool1: on the smaller sizes! Isn't that a great feeling?

First day of school here today. WHY does the school post a list of what the kids need, specific to their grade and team, and then after I buy everyting on the list, the kids come home on the first day of school with an entire NEW list?!? So I am out frantically trying to find marble notebooks that are NOT black. Any other color is OK, but HER class has to have a different color.than all the other classes. What a CROC! Making me crazy.

Not to mention the reams of paperwork that get dumped in Mom's lap that first night. I declare I've got writer's cramp, and I onl got through ONE set, since o course DD 'forgot' to bring his home tontie and now I will have to do it tomorrow night instead.

DD made trouble on the bus this AM. Not 10 minutes into the ride he lets outhis ringtone of gunshots, and he is yelling. So He erased the ringtone, and has lost his phone except for school hours and wheh he is not with me. His attitude is so negatie, almost asking tofail. Takes a really special teacher to deal with that. I hope we have that teacher: Hedid NOT have a good day,and doesn't want to go tomorrow. He had to go with the ex and #3 for Dinner for #3's birthday. They don't like #3. The don't wantto go. They and I tell him they need to be back here by 9. The rolled in at 9:55, after texts from the kids begging me to come get them, saying they begged him to leave, they were tired, etc. Getting them up at 7 am is oonna bea bear!

DD will be 14 this month. DS will b 13 in February. At what point does THEIR wishes come into play? They don't want to go have dinner with ther father when the could be going to church Youth Group, or swim lessons, or other things normal kids get to do. At what point can I request a change in isitation?

Found out Tuesday that DD has elevated Choesterol and Triglyceride levels. Found out Today that DS's levels are even higher! Can't put his on how he eats--he doesn't eat enough to keep a bird alive! Looks like it's mostly genetic. So now what do we do? They are too young for Statins, I can tweak the diet with more whole foods, eliminate most school lunches, and hopeuflly impress upon the ex that ice cream sundaes don't quite fit the bill here.

DSis has returned to Turkey, albiet very unhappily. We both have a feeling in the pit of our stomachs that something is wrong. But we don't know what. This rarely happens, but when it does I am always right. Mom is still waiting for the hospital to call to schedule her echo. I told her if they don't call by noon, I will call them myself, and I will NOT be all sweetness and light!

I am not enjoying this being part of a sandwich.

I am so tired I can't even see to type straight! G'nite all.

 That's about I can do for you Whgrn...it's awful having to suffer consequences for ex's stupidity! Get a good night's rest. Look at it this way...if ds had of remembered the papers, you would be doubley tired tonight. At least you will have all weekend to fill his out! (If he remembers them!)

OMG, that's the way is my most un-favorite-ist song ever!!!!!!!!!

M&N, I am not sure but i think the hospital does have a web nursery. I will check into it more.

I had a check up at the doc on Monday and while i was there my blood pressure was elevated so they took it several more times while I was there and it kept going up. So the doc sent me over to the hospital and they admitted me for several hours and monitored me and the baby. They said I had contractions pretty much the whole time, but I never felt them. The pressure finally went down enough for me to be allowed to go home. I saw my primary care doc today to check in, my BP was still elevated but not as high as it was. I see the OB tomorrow and we will see what she has to say. The last few days I have not been feeling well at all, I am very swollen and I have lots of aches and pains. I'll be talking about those with her tomorrow. My husband thinks I should be on bed rest, an my primary doc thought maybe I should be induced. Can't these docs get on the same page already? Well I think that is it for my update. I have a few things to do and I want to get to bed early. May check in one more time before bed!

I can only give :hug::hug:.
DD was a 6 week preemie so I never got to that stage of pregnancy.
Maybe BabyLITC is going to show up on Labor Day:confused3:goodvibes
:flower3:Hope you feel better today.

Oh Wendy, I'm so sorry you had a rough day today!

I hope the feeling in your stomach is wrong.

I have no idea what your custody arrangements are but I think at 13 and 14 your kids should be able to express their wishes to a judge and have them taken into consideration. Not sure if that is something that you want to do but just an idea.

Darn the school for making you spend more money!

 about the elevated Choesterol and Triglyceride levels! Did their Doctor give you any information on what to do to help them?

I hope your Mom gets her phone call soon so that you don't have to open up a can over the phone.

I hope the kids have a better day today.

Maybe BabyLITC is going to show up on Labor Day:confused3:goodvibes
I'm thinking BabyLITC should show up on 9/9/09 at 9:09am. Never forget that date!
Maybe we should get that baby poll going here.:scratchin Since we lost our secretary Racetrack, I vote for M&N to take care of this one. She dose have experience with polling for hair color.

I hope your Mom gets her phone call soon so that you don't have to open up a can over the phone.
:lmao: Leave it to Pike to put it so eloquently. :rotfl2:

Whgrn - I hate those changes to the supply list. :headache: Hang in there. I too hope your feeling is wrong.

Morning Ladies:

Hope everyone is having a good week...it's nice and quiet here, DH is out golfing and the kids are on the Wii. We bought them the new Resort game last week so they are hooked on fencing.

Hey JOCAmom ~ Welcome and come back and visit anytime.;)

Good afternoon everyone! Another pretty day here.

Ev, your daughter is just so cute! I love the freckles (this from a fellow-freckler). Enjoy those last days of summer and the swimming! We did CRT last year, and Mary Poppins wasn't there. :guilty: Trying this year for Akershus and stalking England for her.

I printed out all the food at the F&W kiosks and now I'm rethinking my ADRs. I may not need a TS while at EPCOT! There's so much snacking to be done. We're planning 3 days at F&W, and during that time, we have TS at Akersus, Tokyo Dining, and Le Cellier. I really don't want to give up any of them, they each have their own merits. Decisions, decisions. Plus, all that snacking is really OOP, so that's not really budget-friendly.

Enjoy the day everyone!

She got the freckles from me...and the blonde hair ~ except mine now comes out of a box :rotfl: I think you should dump Le Cellier and come visit if you want a Canadian steak dinner!!:rotfl:

Great Mary Poppins pic EV. I saw her in England twice. Your dd looks like a princess!

To bad she doesn't act like one...the whole time she was B i t c hing about how uncomfortable the dress was and took it off as soon as lunch was over...people had been stopping and saying how cute she was and meanwhile she was muttering under her breath about how much she hated the whole princess thing!!

It's finally cooling off down here (temporarily) the pool water has dropped from 94 degrees to high 80's so swimming will feel better.

We're in the opposite boat struggling to keep ours above 80 without using up all the propane in the tank...we usually go through one tank a summer, this year we are on our third.

LITC - So sorry you are not only uncomfortable, but now it is affecting your health too.

Sounds like you need a  ...sorry you had such a crappy day.

LITC ~ hang in there...I'm picking Sept 20th which is DH 50th birthday, for whomever is keeping track of birthdate guesses.

Tomorrow we are having a birthday BBQ for DH at one of the cottages down on the lake...so today I'll be busy shopping and organizing coolers etc.

Hope you all have a great long weekend.

Oh EV...such a tough life...organizing picnics by the lake on the beach! Maybe it's only me, but I believe your little princess got her b****ing from you too! :lmao: Have a great weekend.

Hope today is wonderful Wendy!

I have to get going...need to get the poll going I guess...darn that Racer for being truthful to that stupid poster! She should have really told her off to make this worth it! Others have not let op forget it though!!!

So have a great weekend everybody...I'm away til Tue...get the votes in...

Good afternoon! I sucessfully transplanted a new hard drive into this bad boy yesterday. Wasn't bad at all. I would have been really angry paying someone $50 to basically take two screws out, pop out/in hard drive and close it up again. Seems to be going well.

Does my TA read the Dis? I was on another thread about using TA and I complained about my past two experiences. Suddenly, she's around. She called me that she put my documents in the mail via UPS! Darn holiday! I'll probably get it on tuesday!

Oh, Wendy, I'm so sorry to hear about your yesterday. First day of school is always stressful, and your DS has been pretty stressed out with stuff with your Dad and your ex. I hope he learns to cope a little bit better. Sorry to hear about DD's cholesterol levels, good thing she's so athletic. What is the doctor recommending?

Here's my stuff for the LITC-let:
Gender: female
DOB: 9/20/09
Time of birth: 8:45am
Weight: 7lbs, 4 oz

Better day today. DS is in a better mood. Turns out he has even worse numbers than DD--his Cholesterol is 203!!!:scared1: So they will both be seeing the nutritionist.

As far as going to court, I am seriously considering it. i don't want to cause animosity, but honestly they hate going on Wednesday nights and it would be so much better for their schedules if they didn't have to go!

Mom still hasn't gotten a call from the hospital. I will be calling them on Tuesday, and may just have to open that can...:lmao:

In other news, I went to the wound center today and the doctor is very happy with how I am healing! Apparently the wound has shrunk considerably in the 2 months since I was last there. I just didn't notice it becuase I see it every day. So I am to continue doing what I've been doing and go back in a month. Works for me. at least I don't need any surgery or procedures!:thumbsup2

DS's best friend called him tonite and asked if he could sleep over. He "needed a place to sleep tonite". (such drama!) turns out it's his 8 yo sister's slumber party and he wanted to escape! He did the same thing last year. You'd think he could make these arrangements in advance. Anyway, i said ok (more for the friend than for DS!) and told DS if he causes ANY problems, it will be his last sleepover of 7th grade. So far they've been a couple of angels!

OK, here are my answers--

We won!!! Great footbsll game! The district I worked for won...the hs I graduated from lost! So in a way, whoever won, I could say that! :rotfl: The star player in my opinion, went to the elem school I worked at. It was fun. Mom's not too happy--Phillies are loosing, maybe lost by now. Too bad..can't win them all.

OK Pikester...why are you bored? I see no one is around here...

Now I can be bored...her light is off! That figures....Guess I can get to bed early....I just was checking in anyway...I'm usually not around on a Friday night...

Well, Bopsmom, you could certainly pass for organized to me! I am going to have to git with it myself but like M&N said she has done I am going to see if I can scale back some this year. My DD is probably gonna freak because I am usually a spending fool at Christmas time. After taking this trip and the drop in cash flow around here I am just going to have to restrain myself somehow. I am also so guilty of putting away gifts and losing them too! Anyway, I am thinking it would be nice to shop at Disney and send it all home gift wrapped so when we get back I can just put it under the tree. Sounds like a plan, right?

JOCAmom,
welcome3d.gif
! Hope you come back and visit and do some chit chatting.

Pikester, I promise I was not avoiding you when I changed my DS day! I got to worrying about how crowded it might be on a Fantasmic night and since I don't care to see it I thought it would be better to make some adjustments to my plans. I also decided I really shouldn't make DD wait so long to head to AK so my DS day was the one that got hijacked. Anyway, I hope we can still work out something!

M&N,
amen-1.jpg
on doing just about anything to get out of cleaning! I say your shopping trip was well worth missing out on a little dust.

MagiKitty, no football fan here either.

D&DDisney, wow 2 birthdays per weekend all month. You must have lots of friends and relatives!

LITC, I too had high blood pressure and had to wait until it went down to make it through my check ups. Seems to me just having to go to the doctor is enough to elevate anyone's bp! Just keep listening to the doctor and keep taking it easy as much as you can. Take good care of yourself and that precious little bundle.
Pikester, I was induced with both of mine because I was over due about the same amount of time too. If you ask me it was great to have an appointment and know when the baby was coming. We never had to go through the race to the hospital. The only bad part was being so huge for the extra 2 weeks. Oh yeah, LITC, when I was induced they put me in a whirlpool tub to speed things up. Guess you could give that a try.

Here's my picks!
TKer:mariezp
M or F? Male. Every Princess needs a big brother to take care of her!
Date of birth:10/01. My 20th anniversary!
Time of birth:Noon. Don't have to wake up too early but not take all day.
Weight: 7 pounds. God's perfect number.
Length: 20"

whgrn, I am so sorry that your ex is making things difficult for everyone. You would think he would notice when his kids are miserable but a lot of them don't. He is certainly not the only one who ever put his needs above his own kids. Maybe he and #3 will find something else to occupy their time soon and ease up on the kids... and you. Wish I had some answers for you but thankfully I have never had to deal with an ex and kids.
Also sending a  and a prayer to help you find some way to deal with DS and his issues. Also another one  for ideas on how to keep both kids healthy. I hope you and DSis were both just sad about her leaving and that anything is really wrong.

BKMETV, how about that! My hair color now comes out of a box too! Only I am too lazy to be a blonde! The roots show up to fast which is why I am now a brunette.
My DD refuses to wear those princess dresses because they are itchy. Granted the tulle does make them nice and poofy but I wonder why they can't come up with a fabric that is a bit more child friendly.

While DD and I were doing her school today about layers of the earth she informed me "When I become President I am going to order the people to drill a hole to the middle of the earth and learn more about the rocks". Glad to see she is focused and has serious plans for her future!

Morning all:

Just a quick pop in...yes M&N I'm b^^ing not about the beach/sunset/BBQ that will be fine...I'll post you a pic of the sunset...it's all the organizing I'm having to do yesterday and today to feed 50 people!! Anyways just one last run to the grocery store this morning and I should be done.

I already picked Sept 20 so hears the rest of the info:

No...just everyone of them were born in Sept. Three of these are anniversaries, so I mixed that into my averages.

I'm sure we have some Sept. b-days on this thread as well. :thumbsup2

Weather is just perfect. Cool at night but days are warming up to 80. Although I am bummed that we didn't have much of a summer, fall is always my favorite time of year - except for football season.

We're emptying the pool this weekend and hoping to do some yardwork. Anyone else w/ more exciting plans????
