Well, I wondered if I'd find ya'll here or on FB.:wave2:

I just saw the moon to: pretty.

Congrats on the ADR's-who wants to do mine? We haven't decided if we want Dining Plan or OOP because we have a kitchen in the villa. Since they extended free dining and it being the week of Christmas, I have a feeling getting into any TS place will be tough.

Not expecting calls this week because of the holiday weekend coming. I will try to continue my Christmas shopping.

It's finally cooling off down here (temporarily) the pool water has dropped from 94 degrees to high 80's so swimming will feel better.

DD and I are going Saturday to pick up 3 lbs of honey from "our bees". The beekeeper told me today that it has been flying off his shelves and I thought it would be fun to have some here.

DH is so excited about College Football this weekend that DD and I have turned him loose to 'go play with his friends' at the sports bar. Next week he'll be in Ohio to see the game since that was the trade off for the girls going to NYC.

Not much going on otherwise, still reading ya'lls posts to catch up. No baby yet I see, but, soon, very soon: not too soon, I hope.

:flower3:

Hey Bopsmom: Great to see you. Not much going on here. I was chatting with Racer at another place! She's still giving me grief about Jr but I can take it! Glad it's cooler there. It sure seems like fall here. It's hard to believe football season is here. I may go to the local high school game Fri. I can get in free. They are playing the school I graduated from. Never did that before. I think it's a non-league game. But I know they have changed the sections around some. I guess I need to root for the team that paid my salary these last 35 years!

OMG...I am absolutely exhausted each day when I get home. The first week is so busy at schools. Never realized or appreciated this before. The kids are so adorable. They are already running up to me, hugging me and saying "Hi Mrs. K." :cloud9: Really makes the job worth it. Some of these poor little ones come from such rough homes that you just want to hug them all and take them home.
My DS's have been having a good few days of school. So far so good. Ask me again when the "honeymoon" is over.

D&D...so how's school going? these first few weeks are always hectic. Does your district have the Jewish holidays off? We get them off here...the kids go back to school for a week, then have shortened weeks. They really don't have a full week of school until October usually.

Was informed that nephew's case goes before a grand jury next Tuesday. Don't know what that entails really, just that we'lll be seeing that guy again.
No jewish holidays at my school. Mostly hispanic, so we celebrate those holidays. There are some schools in the northern suburbs of Milwaukee that have off cuz they have a higher jewish population.
 on seeing that "monster" again.

Hello to M&N, I just want to say thank you so much from myself, my DH and LITC-let for the baby gifts. My husband likes the outfit so much he wants it to be the "coming home from the hospital" outfit for the little one! I am so touched by your generosity. You gals are the best!
Now you're going to have to post pics cuz we all want to see.

Wo0w...I looked up at the moon tonight when I took out the trash. I had seen it on tv but wanted to see it in person. You can see Jupitor beside the moon...really neat!
"...Ill be looking at the moon, but I'll be seeing you." That song popped into my head when you posted that. It is a beautiful full moon. Funny how we can all share seeing it, even though we're miles apart. :lovestruc

Hey D&D. That deadbeat paid up and the check didn't bounce either! Of course it was for more than she owed...:confused3 I was glad to do it. If you want some pretzels to impress the fac, let me know. I still have to take the janitors some every now and then!
What a sweet deadbeat. Probably just wanted you to know how much she appreciated your help. Now you have some more money to add to the Disney trip fund. :thumbsup2

I don't follow the races but I am glad ya'll have found another place so your late night chats:rolleyes1(fights) can continue.:rotfl:
We love to go see HS football. Friday Nite Lights and all that ya' know. You really should go to the game!:cheer2: I bet you will really enjoy it and the price is right.
This year DD made honors band for her school and they will be playing with the HS marching band at one of the games. We're excited. DH was in the Ohio State Marching Band and needless to say he is a great band booster. The music she's learning is right up his alley.
Honestly though I am so tired of hearing the songs they have to learn for it: Play that Funky Music(White Boy), Disco Inferno and That's the Way (uh huh, uh huh) I Like It.

Glad I checked in. I always seem to miss everyone.
Have a good night.:goodvibes

Come on now, Bopsmom, you are telling me that you are already Christmas shopping? Some people are so organized! Dear me! I guess it is only a little over 3 months away! It does throw a twist into things when you are on vacation for a good part of December. I can probably appease DD with gifts from shopping trips while at WDW but I don't think DS will be so easy. Thank heavens for Amazon wish lists! I better get started!

There's a Croc ad at the bottom of our thread! Who paid for that? :confused3:lmao:

Well, band music just isn't what it used to be! I'm sure John Phillip Sousa has rolled over in his grave many times!

Christmas shopping? What's that? I've cut back on that. My friends and I get together for a good meal. I still give the kids something...usually money now. I don't know what to give them anymore. They seem to like the green stuff! Mom and I are counting our trip as our present.

D&D---The kids are what makes teaching so rewarding. Unfortunately the rest just got too much and it was not worth the hassles to continue past my 35 yrs. I'm going to help with the middle school book fair in 2 weeks.

Umm, Hi, I think. I've been reading your thread. What does TKer stand for?

Hello and welcome to the thread!

TK stands for Thread Killer as all of us have found ourselves "killing" a thread. So one by one we've found ourselves here and we've become friends.

I am nowhere near organized just ask DH.:lmao:
I usually like to have my shopping done by Halloween-wrapped by Thanksgiving.
We have to ship half to family up north so it's easier that way. You are right taking off the last couple of weeks in December is motivation to get everything done early.
I have a large family and buying for a person a month was much easier on my budget back in the day and it just became a habit I guess.
My Mom always does this too.
We pick up things we see throughout the year that we think, "oh, soandso would love this" and that's how it starts.

So what does everyone have planned for the Labor Day Weekend?

Hi JOCAmom. Glad you posted. We are a friendly group who felt left out in the bigger DIS world. No one would answer our questions or think our posts were worthy of an answer. This is our 5th thread so that's how we got the last part of our thread name this time. Some of us have posted for the entire time and some have recently joined. You are welcome to hop in too! We chat about all kinds of things...Disney and not Disney. We tease a lot but will not really put you down if you think pool hopping is ok! I'm sure someone will say it's not a good idea but we respect your right to say you do it! :rotfl: I see you are planning a cruise. I went on a 3 day one 2 years ago and loved it. There's lots of info on the cruise board for that and if there's anything I can answer, I would be happy to. I'm not good with places to eat at Disney but we do have some experts on this thread for those questions too.

Good morning everyone else. It looks like another beautiful day here. I'm going shopping with mom...at least walk around the mall. That's much more fun than cleaning! You know I'll do just about anything to avoid that!

Good morning everyone! Looks like another good one here, although it seems that my laundry line days are numbered...while I enjoy the speediness of a dryer, there's something about freshly hung laundry that just makes my day.

Welcome JOCA's mom! Glad you could join us! Hope you stick around some for the zaniness. But we're really nice, I swear....;)

Well, guys, its "-ber" months, so the holidays are not far behind. I too am a year-round shopper. I've been picking up things here and there as I see them. Don't really have little ones to shop for, so don't have to worry about the "hot toy" around the holidays. My problem is that I put everything away and then I can't find it when its time to wrap them! :rotfl:

Thing with fall too is that I get nailed with birthdays. It seems that most people in my life are fall/winter babies. This month alone is a doozy, I have about 8 people to think about....

I will admit I'm not much of a football fan...but I love the football atmosphere. I love the weather, the smells, the overall atmosphere. Its a wonderful time.

Big hugs to everyone today! Especially welcoming hug to JOCA's mom.

oh! does anyone or anyone know of someone who has a Ipod shuffle? I got one yesterday and its taking forever to charge up. I'm wondering if I have a dud. Its flashing like its charging, and I've been able to load songs onto it, but when I try to play it, there's no charge. Ugh.

Maybe the presents are under the fallen down closet? :rotfl: I've found forgoten presents too. Plus some I forgot who they were even for! And that was when I was younger...how bad is it going to get? Probably by then I won't remember to even care!
I can't help with Ipod stuff. I read somewhere about a joke-I think- that was about a roomba locking itself in the laundry room. I thought that would probably happen if I had one...it wouild not want to face my bedroom!

I forgot to post on my successful shopping trip this am. I got a smaller size pair of capris at JCP for $11. They were $46. They are black knit with white flowers stitched around the bottom. I did not try them on. If I can't take them to FL in Dec, I should be able to fit in them by spring. I felt they would not go out of style. Then at Boscovs I got a pair of capris that were navy with dragon flies stitched all over them. They were 75% off and they almost fit---2 sizes smaller than I was wearing from that company. :woohoo: I want to go to York to check that store to see if they would have the matching top. The ones with little palm trees on was way too small a size.
We also went to the Itz a Puzzle store. I bought 2 that have Disney stamps on them. And got mom a pretty one with flowers. She's going to do them all. I do help when I go to her house.

There's a Croc ad at the bottom of our thread! Who paid for that? :confused3:lmao:
Yes...I'd like to know how that Croc got there. Could someone out in Dis land be picking up on my adversion to Crocs???:rotfl2:

Umm, Hi, I think. I've been reading your thread. What does TKer stand for?
:welcome:to our little corner of the Dis. Thread Killers are really nice people. So pull up a virtual chair and chat away.

M&N beat me to the punch on this one. I was going to say "Check that closet" :lmao: or should I say black hole?
I'm right there with you on the Sept birthdays. We average around 2 parties per weekend this month. :scared1: Gets a little expensive.

My job is going well but boy o boy am I getting tired of working w/ the learned helplessness of this guy. :headache: I guess he didn't realize when he hired me that I might make him open his own mail. On the positive side, I sure am learning a lot of what "not to do" as an administrator.

DS7 has a loose top front tooth. Hoping he'll loose it in time for school pics. :cutie: DS11 lost both his 2 front teeth right before the school pics and boy was that a cute picture to have. Its the little things in life ya know.

OMG, that's the way is my most un-favorite-ist song ever!!!!!!!!!

M&N, I am not sure but i think the hospital does have a web nursery. I will check into it more.

I had a check up at the doc on Monday and while i was there my blood pressure was elevated so they took it several more times while I was there and it kept going up. So the doc sent me over to the hospital and they admitted me for several hours and monitored me and the baby. They said I had contractions pretty much the whole time, but I never felt them. The pressure finally went down enough for me to be allowed to go home. I saw my primary care doc today to check in, my BP was still elevated but not as high as it was. I see the OB tomorrow and we will see what she has to say. The last few days I have not been feeling well at all, I am very swollen and I have lots of aches and pains. I'll be talking about those with her tomorrow. My husband thinks I should be on bed rest, an my primary doc thought maybe I should be induced. Can't these docs get on the same page already? Well I think that is it for my update. I have a few things to do and I want to get to bed early. May check in one more time before bed!

Good evening TKers!

First things first... You're welcome for the card Magikitty!

I hope everyone had a good day! I have spent the last 3 days subbing for a Para's position. I am so exhausted! The child I was with is very physical and needs constant attention at all times mainly for safety. God bless the special person who will someday fill this position full time and God bless all those Para's who are all ready in those positions. The education system couldn't do it without you!

Yay M&N for making some great finds while shopping!

Tomorrow looks to be a beautiful day around here! Actually, the entire weekend is looking really good.

DS8 is having a procedure on Tuesday, September 8th that he was suppose to have back in August but he was too sick to go through with. Now he'll have to miss a day of school. The only good thing as it's early in the school year so he shouldn't be missing too much.

Oh LITC, I remember those days well. I'm sorry that you are so uncomfortable. I remember with my second child my Doctor was going to have me go to the hopsital to be induced. I was so ready! (I went 2 weeks over my due date with both kids!) He ended up calling me back later that evening to tell me I had to wait a day because the staff was going to be busy. I sat on the toilet in the bathroom and bawled my eyes out. I wanted this thing out of me, NOW!

Get lots of rest and take things easy.

Hey BabyLITC.

Take it easy on Mommie...she loves you and wants to be able to hug you real soon. Just be patient. You'll just cry your little eyes out when you finally do come out into this big old world. Don't rush things!
