TKers: Six threads under and still killin' time....

Hi again everyone. With a heavy heart I came to share that my father has passed. I know he is no longer in pain and that is extremelly comforting. I unfortunately did not get to see him between receiving the news last night and just a bit ago when I got the call.
But I knew I could come here and share, many of our family members were with him (I could not go there due to Walter possibly being contagious) and my Dh is at work right now, and you are all just an extension of my family and I wanted to share.
Thank you all so much for all your support and wishes during this time. I know I can come back whenever I need to, to talk.

I'm back from my cruise. It was...interesting. Last vacation I'll ever take with my kids too. Yes, they were that bad.

Welcome back Wendy! I thought your kids loved cruising? What happened?

I'm just waiting for the kiddos to go to bed so we can start filling the baskets.

We didn't do anything all day except grocery shop. DH grilled some burgers for dinner and it was so nice not to have to cook again.

Tomorrow I have to make deviled eggs and pasta salad to take to my brothers. He's hosting Easter dinner. It will be nice to have a holiday when I don't have to run around all crazy.

So very sorry to hear of your dad's passing. My heart just aches for you right now. Losing a parent is one of the hardest things to go through. Although we know they are no longer suffering and in a much better place, we still miss them something awful.
If you ever need to cry, vent, cuss, wonder why, need a laugh, need a virtual hug, you know that we are here for you.

Welcome back Wendy! I thought your kids loved cruising? What happened?

Yeah, they like cruising, but they like tormenting me even more. They really were just horrible. Especially DS, which I expect, but even DD got in on it. Fortunately they are with their father all day today, and hopefully he is going to take them tomorrow too (which will mean getting up at 7 am on a vacation day!!!) I have to have them Tuesday for orthodontist appointments, but Wednesday DS is going with his father, and hopefully DD will go Thursday, when I have to take DS to see his new shrink. Friday they go back to school.

Sometimes I really just hate my life. Don't get me wrong--I know I am blessed and have it so good and should be grateful. But right now I'm just not feeling it. I just feel completely worn out. I guess I'm just having a little pity party here. I wish I could just go crawl back in bed, pull the covers up over my head, and stay there. I can't even say I want to run away from home and never come back--too much energy.

Thanks for letting me vent.

Evening all! Just got back from my brothers. Food was great and not having to clean up afterward was pretty good too. But I do need to teach my brother a little something about meal planning. He bought a 17lb ham for 10 of us, 3 are little kids. They are going to be eating ham for the next month.

JOCA- no biggie. Its all good. and at the moment I'm up because my darling mommy woke me up to have a salt water rinse to help with my throat. It helped a little but it certainly does feel weird. But I digress. Hope everyone had an awesome easter. Ended up being able to play in church (after being scared to death as a result of my wrist injury) and did an awesome job!!!!!

Morning! It's pretty nice here today. A little windy but it's still warm. The next 2 days are suppose to be in the 80's. How I've missed the nice warm weather that goes on for days.

Today is the last day of the kids Easter vacation. Actually, they were pretty good this vacation. They barely fought. I think the nice weather helped with that.....they weren't trapped in the house together.

lilmiss, please call me JO....most people around here do. Sorry you hurt your wrist but glad you were able to play in church. Sounds like it was very important to you.
