I grew up listening to heavy metal in the 80's. And my parents always listened to hard rock when I was really little. Hard to get away from it.

Now that I'm older, I do find my music tastes widening. I wish I could find a music station that plays a little bit everything.

A lot of the music of our youth is now being used in commercials. Ugh.

My dream was to see the Cure in concert. Missed out on that one.

We have a pretty good mixed radio station around here. It has enough new music so that I don't feel like I'm too old and has some older goodies that I can sing along with. Although with XM in the car, I listen to all 80s all the time!

Every now and then, one of our local stations with do a anything goes weekend. They will play anything that people call up and request. Heavy metal, country, pop, classic rock, even 50s.

I can't believe Dave Matthews have been around for 20 years.

Whenever I think of Ricky Martin, I always think of Billy Ray too. Long haired, one hit wonders..... Really, I don't know why I associate them together but I can't think of one without thinking of the other.

OMG! My dog is such a wimp. She is now deathly afraid of cameras. DH took out the camera to look at some pictures and she is shaking and hiding. I think she might start hyperventilating. She is such an odd ball. Thank goodness DH put the camera away.

Looks like we're going to have another storm this week. It seems we're averaging a storm a week. Lot more activity than we usually have. Putting a damper on DH's deck project and golf.

Looks like we'll be leaving on the 25. DH has worked it out that we'll be home for the 4th. It looks like we may be staying in a motel on the way home. Trying to get from Wisconsin to New Mexico in three days. Too lazy to try to find a place to set up. Hersey has a zoo? Love zoos.

This is the mother and sister who when my Dad was in ICU at the hospital and a new specialist came into the room, my sister introduced herself to the doc as "I'm his daugter _______ the pretty one." Of which I followed up with "Then I'm his other daughter Deb the intelligent one."

Sorry for the rant. I am just feeling so disgusted today.

Thanks everyone for all the well wishes! Walter seems to be much better. We thought he was getting an ear infection, but now he seems just fine, so we are holding off on taking him. We'll keep an eye on him.

I still feel somewhat under the weather, and like I thought the dr basically told me not to stress, and get rest and such. Not helpful....


Hershey sounds like alot of fun. Hopefully we can make it. I looked at that hotel real quick, is about 160 a night sound right? We'll really have to save hard to be able to swing that right now, but I am not counting us out yet.

Hope everyone is doing well. Just wanted to say hi to everyone, Walter is hanging out on daddy's lap right now, but is giving me the stare down.

Glad Walter's ear is OK. You take care of yourself too. Was Walter trying to make you jealous being with Daddy or just making sure you were paying attention to him too?

M&N, I know my posts tend to be long winded but let's hope I never make it to taking up 2 pages! On mine my post only showed up on page 50.

You don't sound too upset with the golf plans being ruined! Show a little sympathy!

I really am not too thrilled with award shows either but do like to see their outfits. I really thought Miley was the worse...she looked like an old lady! I was on the phone so could not hear what she had to say or what the big deal was with the giant rings but I was not impressed. I was glad Taylor Swift won...she is so cute.

Evening ladies....not much to speak of today, except it was sunny and we actually got above freezing! Woo hoo!

My local racino sends me these promos to get me into there and gamble. Next weeks promo? Free air compressor. I guess since I've gotten almost every small appliance available from them, we're moving on to small household tools. It will come in handy when I have to inflate an airbed....

I thought Miley looked inappropriate also. She's already a beautiful girl, there's no need to go to such lengths (or lack thereof) to dress up for a nice night out.
