The middle school librarian is a hoot. She emailed me today and said a kid said to her "Mrs. G, were you Miss N...?' (my name) She's a little shorter and rounder than I am but she's got a great sense of humor and great with the kids there. I wrote back that I was complimented and I hope she felt that way too.

Think I just got dissed on the phone this morning. Was talking to my mom and she says..."Logan (my nephew) is sleeping over on Feb. 4th by himself because (my nieces) can't make it." Never once asked if maybe MY BOYS would like to join him. Not that they can on that day, since its a school night. But...how about that Friday MOM???? No, that won't work for me. UGhhhh!!!!!!

Woke up to an inch of snow. Poor DH couldn't golf again.
D&DDisney We're still camping. Just checking where everyone may be.

Looks like we'll be leaving on the 25. DH has worked it out that we'll be home for the 4th. It looks like we may be staying in a motel on the way home. Trying to get from Wisconsin to New Mexico in three days. Too lazy to try to find a place to set up. Hersey has a zoo? Love zoos.

Actually, I think she only enjoys seeing DS7 because DS11 has so many problems. The other grandchildren are perfect you see.... Ugh!!!
This is the same mom who when I went off to live at college, a neighbor gave her a family ornament w/ brother's, sister's, Dad's and Mom's name on the ornament - forgetting ME!!!! When I saw it I asked why she continued to put it on the tree if one of her daughters were missing from it and she said she didn't want to hurt the neighbor's feelings. WHAT????

This is the mother and sister who when my Dad was in ICU at the hospital and a new specialist came into the room, my sister introduced herself to the doc as "I'm his daugter _______ the pretty one." Of which I followed up with "Then I'm his other daughter Deb the intelligent one."

Sorry for the rant. I am just feeling so disgusted today.

Well its was frigid and windy today but at least it wasn't snowing!

D&D...I am so sad to hear the way your family treats you. They are just pooh-heads. Despite the fact that they are missing out on your wonderfulness, they should never hurt kids like that. Life is so short, we all should enjoy it as much as possible.

Marie....salt and caffeine are just what I crave when a migraine hits. In most migraine reliever, there's usually some mix of acetominophen and caffeine. Salt is weird..they think that migraines may have some component of vessel constriction, and salt does that, so I would think that it would worsen the headache. But I've suffered from migraines for years, and its just what works for me. Anything to get rid of it is welcomed by me...otherwise I'm a useless lump who's sensitive to everything...

M&N..I'm so impressed that you were at breakfast at 6:30! Was it good?

I saw the Blind Side! What a great movie....I even cried. So inspiring, so heartbreaking, so incredible! I'm glad a movie like that is getting Oscar buzz!

Sooooo windy and cold (-15 windchill)

I've got parent-teacher conferences at work today.

Makes for a long day/night. Have to work til 8pm.

Bought some more seeds for the garden. I'm going to grow tomatoes, cukes, baby spinach, mini carrots, green onions and green beans this year. Just can wait to get started.

Thanks everyone for all the well wishes! Walter seems to be much better. We thought he was getting an ear infection, but now he seems just fine, so we are holding off on taking him. We'll keep an eye on him.

I still feel somewhat under the weather, and like I thought the dr basically told me not to stress, and get rest and such. Not helpful....


Hershey sounds like alot of fun. Hopefully we can make it. I looked at that hotel real quick, is about 160 a night sound right? We'll really have to save hard to be able to swing that right now, but I am not counting us out yet.

Hope everyone is doing well. Just wanted to say hi to everyone, Walter is hanging out on daddy's lap right now, but is giving me the stare down.

DL55, a motel stop will probably be a good idea. Nice to have room to spread out after all that camping. A standard size bathroom is always nice too.

Oh, Deb, you have a couple of real gems there! People can be so insensitive and never think of all the harm they do with their words and actions.
