DL55...I can't answer your question about timing. I haven't heard much either. But I'm planning to be in the area around lunch (depends on what construction I run into) and me, M&N, and D&D will be running around and prepping...

And while you're on the Canadian side don't forget to pick up some of their yummy candy you can't get here! (Coffee Crisp gets my vote!)

Evening everyone!

I'm taking the night off of going through the stuff in the basement. The pipe is fixed and most of the water is out but there is a ton of stuff to go through and see what can be saved.

MK, the worst thing about the whole essay thing is he picked to do it on....ready for this.....roofing! He could have aced this paper and gotten a great grade in this class. He's already lost 10 points out of 30 on this and if he doesn't turn it in tomorrow, he loses another 5 points. And it turns out that he is missing 4 other assignments for another class and 2 for his math class. Finals are next week. :sad2:

DL55, when are leaving Hershey? I really, really hope you'll still be there on the 24th so we can meet.

D&D, the best thing about breakfast was getting that alone time with Alexis. She doesn't get that too often even though I try. It was just nice talking to her without any of the other kids interrupting.

Good morning all!
Weather has been a little cooler here the last couple days. So nice to get some fresh air without developing heat stroke! Between being cooped up inside so much lately, rowdy kids, an insensitive DH, and probably mostly chaotic hormones I have not felt much like doing anything lately.

Gee, Kerrie, isn't it nice to know that after you make it through pregnancy hormones.... even farther down the line there are still the menopausal ones to go through! Seriously though, I hope you get to feeling better soon. Those pg hormones can make you crazy. I was pathetically needy for attention and had several dreams that scared the willies out of me!
Jo, sorry to hear about the basement and it messing with your Hershey plans. I hope Curt decides to kick it in gear so he can pass.
Kitty, whoo-hoo on your latest winnings! Good luck at the doll raffle!
D&D, congrats on the new niece!
DL55, itinerary looks great! Which show are you seeing in Branson?
LITC, hope your throat is better!
M&N, hope you are having a good time!
Pikester, loved the aging smilies!
Ev, if we ever make it to Niagra Falls I would love to see it from your side. I bet it is breathtaking!

MagiKitty I'll try to check out the candy..but remember I'll have gone berserk at the Hershey store. ;)

JOCAmom We'll be arriving on the 21st and leaving on the 25th. So we will definitely be there on the 24th. :thumbsup2

mariezp DH wants to see Jim Stafford so we'll probably see that. I'll do anything to make sure he behaves at the TK meet. :goodvibes

Laundry is done. So now we can pack up most of the clothes. We use portable drawers for some. The rest will have to wait for the trailer. With the wild weather I'm thinking of packing cold weather gear also. :rolleyes1
DH doesn't think it's necessary but I get cold easier.

DL55, oh I would love to see Jim Stafford again! We went years ago so his show is probably much different now but it was really good and he was so funny. You will have to fill us in when you get back. Never hurts to bribe em a little to keep them in line! ;)

Hi everyone,

I'm back! We didn't win anything but had fun...well I take it back. DS won a lot on poker, but we all three blew it on the slots. :rotfl:.

Jo- I am so sorry to hear about your basement. :grouphug: If I were local I would come offer my assitance getting it cleaned up.

Kitty- You are probably still at the graduation, but I hope you had a great time! Graduations are always so bitter sweet to me.

LITC- Are you feeling better now? I sure hope so

D&D- Man I wish I had a job that allowed me to take summers off. Now that would be the life

Marie- Glad you are getting some cooler weather. It has been cooler than normal here too. Today was in the high 70's. We had a company picnic today. Had a blast, but I ate 3 cupcakes...Bad Mimi...bad ha ha.

Hello to everyone! I need to go back and catch up on how everyone has been doing. :)

Good evening ladies...I have returned from my trip to the city. We got out of the house late, about 5:30L but I made record time into the city. We were actually about three blocks from the hospital when we saw my sister and her BF crossing the street! So they climbed into Kittymobile and we found parkind ($30/3 hours! :scared1:) and we went to the graduation.

Thankfully, graduation lasted a little over an hour. It was mostly congrats on where you're going next. We had breakfast together. My sister's BF is growing on my parents, I think. Its kinda hard to tell.

Did I tell you this story? My sister knew her BF in college---when he was the best friend of HER boyfriend. The three of them actually shared an apartment at some point. Actually, when they reconnected, they were STILL living together (the two guys). Its all ver incestuous to me, but they all seem fine with it....I don't know.

After breakfast, we parted ways...I had to get to Jersey to mail a box for my SIL and get some Asian groceries. After that, we headed back upstate and stopped by the outlets. I fell in love with a purse at Coach--Mom had given me one a few weeks ago, but the color really wasn't my style so I exchanged it with my new baby Coach, an even exchange so no money from me. Its a gorgeous black leather tote that will last forever. I've oiled it already. He's so lovely.

Well, I'm trying to stay awak and not ruin my sleep schedule.

Hi everyone! I know I wanted to comment on something,..I'll have to go back...hugs anyway!

Evening all:

JO congratulation on having such wonderful students...breakfast sounded wonderful.

[BBKMETV We are staying on the Canadian side. Already have our passports in my fanny pack. :cool1: (Good thing I proofread..I forgot the 'p' in passport. :rotfl:)

Where are you staying?

And while you're on the Canadian side don't forget to pick up some of their yummy candy you can't get here! (Coffee Crisp gets my vote!)

Personally I go for Kit Kats and Crunchies! ...and don't forget a Tim Horton's Coffee. (Don't tell M&N but they're much better than Hershey :rolleyes1 )

Ev, if we ever make it to Niagra Falls I would love to see it from your side. I bet it is breathtaking!

The view that you always see in pictures of the horseshoe falls is what you see from our side. A few years ago there was a big to do when a commercial ran the U.S. showing all it's natural wonders including the horseshoe falls...which are actually in Canada.

Rainy and dreary good morning ladies!

Its World Cup Fever from my couch! I watched South Korea vs. Greece, am presently watching Argentin vs. Nigeria. Waiting for the US/England match later today. I did do some world cup picks, but already I'm down since yesterdays matches ended in draws.

Its all very exciting and rather foreign to me. To think of how much of the world is invested in this sporting event. Plus there are a lot of cute boys running around.

BKMETV We are staying at Riverside Park CG. I have no idea what these campgrounds are like. I let DH do all the planning (except for Hershey)

The trailer is out, some food and clothes packed. Just need to turn on the fridge and pack the perishables. Not enough drawer space so lots of clothes go in the back of the truck along with the golf clubs and firewood. :goodvibes

Dang, only 3 days until DL55 is on her way to meet ME! :woohoo:Oh, and the other TKers too, of course. ;)

Rainy day here too Magikitty. We had a PTO fundraiser that was an outdoor event and while we all ended up a little damp a good time was had by all. It was a 6 mile trailrun through the forest that is located out behind our local high school. The course is "WICKED" but the runners love it! We had 130 runners who ran the course.

Hello to all my other fine TKer friends!

Hello everyone. Have been pretty busy the last few days. Throat is getting better. Dont think it was strep, maybe just the weather. I had to go to a wake last night and funeral this morning for a friend of my mom's who knew me since the day I was born. It was so sad. I am sad that she wont get to watch Walter grow up. She wanted me to have a baby for years. And she was so happy when I got pregnant. I guess Walter has another angel. :cloud9:

Hugs, LITC....I am so sorry for your loss. It just seems that life is so unfair sometimes. But yes, Walter does have another angel smiling down on him and giving him blessings.

Congrats on the packing DL55! Safe travels and godspeed.

Pepper....at least you had fun in AC!

Well, the US/England match ended in a draw. I would have loved Team USA to win, but considering that everyone favored England, it was great! And England scored really early in the period, so it was scary there for a while.

Its gotten really humid here and we've had spotty showers all day.

LITC :grouphug: I'm so sorry.

Pikester, congrats on the great turnout you had to today for your fundraiser.

DL55, safe travels and see you soon!!!

Just FYI...in WI they don't let you bring in or move firewood. We had some problems with beetles ruining our trees so they are real strict here. Not sure what it is in other states. You'll also have burned up that wood by the time you get to WI I'm sure. HAVE A GREAT TRIP!!! See you soon.

:sad1: That is so sad LITC. Not fair to lose all these wonderful people.
Glad you are feeling better.

Weather here was hot and muggy but overcast all day. I went strawberry picking w/ a friend of mine and we came back with 12 qts a piece, of sweet, delicious berries.

Also have to share what I shared on FB yesterday. I was in a car accident on Friday. Was waiting at a red light when some kid hit me from behind. Nice hole in the back bumper and I was a little shook up but thankfully nothing major. The dork was playing w/ his dogs instead of driving. I was so mad but stayed very calm. The kid was appologetic and promised to pay for the damage. Exchanged info and we'll see if we have to take it to insurance or not.

Oh no D! So glad that no one was hurt...but really now! At least the kid was apologetic and seems to want to do the right thing. But kids should be driving and that's it! No phone, no playing with dogs, or with the radio. Its dangerous!

He was very nice and I think he thought I was going to yell at him. But I didn't. STayed extrememly calm and just wrote down info til the cop arrived. He said since the the damage seemed minor we could just exchange info. I take the van for the estimate on Mon. and then I will call the family and tell them how much it is. If they can't afford it, then we'll have to do insurance.

I am just so glad that my kids were not in the car at the time and that it wasn't more serious. I mean really....a distracted driver can be deadly. He could have really injured someone. :sad2:

D&D so glad everyone is ok. That is one of my big fears sitting at a stoplight. :scared1:. Sometimes those cars seem to be coming so fast it seems they are not going to stop. I really wish people would pay more attention. At least everyone is okay.

LITC- I am so sorry to hear about your friend..

Kitty- I agree, ,I have never understood the whole "Community boyfriend/girlfriend thing. It just seems so awkward to me.

Jo- Did you get your basement cleaned up?

So is everyone getting ready for Hershey? I wish I could go, but between AC and Disney I can't squeeze out another cent.

D&D, I'm so sorry to hear about your accident, but I'm glad you are ok.

LITC, sorry about your loss.

LITC:grouphug:

D&DDisney :scared1: glad it was a minor accident and not worse.
Our firewood is the old deck-a bunch of 2x4s. DH claims that it will be classified as construction material. I'll try to make sure we will use it up before then. It helps that we love S'mores and the campfire is our main entertainment. :goodvibes

Glad that the US tied England but I have mixed emotions. Gotta root for the US but I feel that the game is more important to England. (Who in the US follows soccer?)

We will miss you pepperw23. :sad1: But you will get to Disney before me. ;)

I just noticed my ticker is off..only 1 day left.
