Its Lost weekend from my couch. They're showing the pilot again with pop-up info. I've also been re-watching the episodes via Netflix. Somethings make so much more sense now! The writers really were so clever....

Schbr- We normally drive, but since it is just me and DD my DH was more comfortable with us flying.

I agree, your poor son...he has his work cut out for him ha ha. :rotfl:

MK- I watched lost the first few times then forgot about it. I am regretting it now. I think maybe I will catch up via netflix myself. I read early on that the writers knew how it was going to end all along so "supposedly" everything will fit after Sunday. :) I don't know if they ever stuck with that.

Jo- I will keep Wed open. All we are doing really is flying in...Kendall wants to try T-Rex for lunch so I will pay OOP for that (LOL, free dining and I am paying OOP for my very first meal ha ha) But she has been dying to go in there and check it out.

BTW, we are going to Atlantic City June 6-8 if anyone is going to be in the area let me know. :rolleyes1

We started watching Lost in the beginning too but I was lost even then.

Pepper, the last time we were in Disney, we walked through T-Rex. It was quite cool. I think D&D mentioned lunch at Earl of Sandwich in DTD. Maybe could meet up there afterwards?

Well, my favorite driver was just introduced and of course, he got the most boos. Doesn't help that he eggs everyone on by bowing when they do boo.

Mmm...Earl of Sandwich! I met Shmu and her family there for dinner last year.

I haven't been to T Rex, but apparently they have one in Kansas City and we're interested in eating there. And it just HAPPENS to be in a shopping area, so how ever will I entertain myself? Hee hee...

Gee, MK, how would you ever keep yourself busy in a shopping district? I bet you'll have a bunch of coupons in hand when you go. :lmao:

The girls have gotten in on the Silly Bandz obsession. And now they have me searching ebay for rare discontinued ones. I really try to avoid fads here. They really die out quick but they are having so much fun trading with all their friends. How can I say no?

Hey ladies...looks like I missed everyone...serves me right for coming on at midnight...it's only 9 here.

We had a great day at the canyon...first we watched a wide west show, then boarded the train. We were in first class so the four seats faced each other with a table in the middle. There was a continental breakfast during the 2 hour ride along with wandering singing cowboys. We then boarded a bus which took us to one of the lodges for a hot buffet lunch and then a 2 hour tour of the town and rim. We had an hour to show and enjoy a Navajo dancing demo before boarding the train to come back...cheese & cracker and veggie & dip to nibble on and I had a couple of Canyon Sunsets, which had Malibu rum pineapple juice and a few other things in it...and of course the train got robbed on the way back. Great and fun way to see the canyon.

When we got back we went for a dip in the hotel's indoor pool (the RV site is connected to it). It is pretty cool and windy so I decided to skip the whole swim thing and just soak in the hot tub. Well while we're drying off one of the little girls gets in over her head, her Mom who is fully clothed is trying to talk her into the shallower water but the girl starts to panic...so in I go, into the cold pool...hair is now soaked!! The mom was very appreciative as she was getting ready to jump herself clothes and all. Anyways that was my good deed for the day and I must have been rewarded because I just check my email and we have been upgraded to the THEhotel tower at Mandalay Bay which is all suites!! I'll let you know what it's like.

Coronado Springs. We like the way it is all bright and festive.

We are booked on SW Airlines and we arrive at 9:55 am on the 18th. Our flight leaves Norfolk at 7:00. Maybe I will be too tired to be freaked out...Oh I do hate to fly...

Now I have a dumb question that I can only ask my TK friends (Remember I don't fly a lot) But How in the HECK do I get my plane ticket? All I have is an email confirmation...Do I take that with me?

We dropped folks off there on our Mickey Express run from the airport...looked very nice.

I printed my boarding passes for southwest from their website 24 hours before the flight.

I gotta ask...what are Bandz??

Ev, that sounds so awesome. I'm still totally debating on what to do next year besides visiting DH's family. Everything from Disneyland to Vegas to just touring the wonderful things that Denver can offer. But the Grand Canyon/countryside is definitely on option too.

Silly Bandz are like the jelly band bracelets that were popular in the 80's.

Now they are shaped like farm animals, sea life, outer space, etc. The kids like to trade them to get ones they don't have.

Good morning ladies! I'm back from church and am now settling back on the couch with the Sunday paper and coffee. Still working on Lost, although I'll only be in the season 3 by the time the festivities start later tonight...

Thanks Jo for explaining the bandz phenomenon. I've seen them in the store, but didn't realize they were worn...I thought they were actual rubber bands! I had those jelly bracelets too. And those jelly shoes were so so comfortable.

Ev, your day at the Canyon sounds lovely! Now, that's the way I would like to do it. And you are such a hero--thank goodness you were there to step in and help the little girl out. And you were blessed for your good deed... congrats on the upgrade, you high roller!

I'm planning my snacks for the afternoon. Aside from that, it'll be a lovely slow day around here...

Hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday!

Hi everyone,
I ended up at Urgent Care yesterday. Pain keeps getting worse. They all but confirmed gall stones but I have to wait til MOnday to have an ultrasound. I could've gone the the ER but its not THAT bad. They only time I want to go to an ER again is if I'm dying. Ugh!!! Had a very bad experience a few years ago. :sad2:
So I'm just lying around til Monday trying to find a comfy position. Its killing me cuz the weather is gorgeous (almost 90 today and sunny). Everyone is outside. Why doesn't stuff like this happen on rainy weekdays???

I'll update when I can. If I'm not back this week its because I have to have surgery.

Oh no D! Just try to stay as still as possible and stay hydrated. If you can eat, try something bland, and try to avoid fat--gall bladder enzymes are for fat breakdown primarily. Feel better!

Thanks Kitty! I did a search on foods that are gall bladder friendly so I have been eating those. I'm hungry but when I eat it just makes me feel worse. :guilty: It also bothers me more when I move around.

I used to have a bunch of those jelly braceletts. I had a boxful of them and for some reason I lost all of them and now I only have about 3 of them left.

I know you can find those bracelets at hot topic. That's where I bought mine at.

Oh, D&D, I'm so sorry. I'll say a prayer for you. Hang in there.

Hello everyone. Don't really have the time to go through and really catch up, but will try soon. Haven't had much time lately, Walter's teething has been fast and furious, he is already getting both number 5 and 6, and he is very uncomfortable. Add to that that he had yet another cold week before last had to go back to the doctor and since he got so sick yet again with the breathing issues has been put on a "permanent" inhaled steroid twice a day and is on an asthma plan for now to see whether or not he outgrows it. Still smiling through most of it though, he's such a trooper.

Hope to "talk" soon and I hope all is well with everyone.

Hey LITC! So glad you were able to stop by. We were beginning to get worried about you. So sorry to hear about little Walter's worries and hope he feels better too! Poor dear. Big hugs to the little man. Don't worry too much about us...we'll be here. Just make sure to say hi once in a while so we can

Pepperw23 For Southwest check in 24 hrs before your flight (on the computer). The sooner you do it the better chance of being in the A group. :thumbsup2
D&DDisney All I can say is hold on and hope it gets taken care of quickly.
LITC Poor little Walter. :flower3:

Hey everyone! Is it just my computer, or is the DIS running real slow? It may be my computer.

DD- I had my gallbladder removed when I was 19. The surgery has gotten a lot better since then (I was cut across my tummy). Some things that helped me before surgery was Hot Bath (it felt better while I was in there, but hurt when I got out. It was short relief, but it was some relief). Eat as little as possible. It seemed to hurt me more right after a meal, Walking helped some too for some reason Hang tough, and remember...your heating pad is your friend! :flower3:

Hi Pike! I see ya up there. :3dglasses

EV- it sounds like you are having a blast!!!!! I would love the train ride. Let us know how Mandalay Bay is. We were going to go to Vegas this year, but it just kinda fizzled. Probably next year since I had to promise DH I would back off of Disney for a while (I will skip next year :rotfl:)

Thanks to you and DL55 for the Southwest advice.

DL55- I am glad you posted. I thought that the A group was for the business class people haha. I just want to be sure me and DD get to sit together. She has never flown and I am scared..:scared1::scared1:e need each other. ha ha.

MK- Are you "lost" in "LOST yet? I know, I know...lame.

Well, I'm around tonight. Finally have a trip to plan!!!

Oh btw, has anyone ever done the Princess Ashus (or whatever) dinner at Epcot? Is it buffet?

Hi Pepper! Yes, its the last five hours of Lost. I'm completely obsessed. I'll be sad not to see Sawyer shirtless...

I went to the Asherkus breakfast, but I think the dinner is buffet style also....

Hey MK! I wish I had watched Lost. It is my kind of show, not sure why I didn't..oh well

Me and DD want to eat dinner at a good buffet. Chef Mickeys is of course booked solid...I have not lost hope though. :goodvibes
