Howdy ladies!
Today was my DH's birthday so I got to spend the first part of the day making his birthday cake. Man, was it good! I am still full! DD's birthday is next week so looks like we'll be gaining a few pounds this month!
Beautiful day here today so I worked outside for about 30 minutes this afternoon and actually ended up getting HOT! Summer will be here before I know it! Crazy weather.... it is supposed to possibly storm tonight. :sad2:

no guard rails so it's quite the hair-raising drive. :scared1:
Boy, do I remember that feeling, Ev! We still talk about one of our trips to Ouray. No guardrails and in MANY places the white stripe that is supposed to mark the edge of the highway has fallen off to Lord knows where! There are some very high mountains in Colorado but also some scary deep abysses! In my case, we had ate German food and I was pregnant. Talk about a really good case of nausea! I hope you have been through the worst and can now just go back to enjoying the scenery. Arizona should be much calmer driving! :thumbsup2

Kitty, I think there are no guardrails cause they can't find enough people crazy enough to hang off the side of a mountain to install them! Seriously, I wonder if if could have anything to do with snow? Perhaps the guardrails would interfere with the snowplows and the ability to clear large accumulations of snow? Also, they seem to have an abundance of rock slides too so maybe no guardrails makes it easier to clear? :confused3

D&D, get well soon!

Jo, there is always something left to plan! Then again, maybe you are just more thorough and get it done right the first time. Me, I always go back and tweak the itinerary or add something else! I would hate to get caught in line by you and your bunch with the Flarp but then again it sounds exactly like something my guys would get a kick out of doing while waiting in line.

Hi M&N, Pikester, Lilmiss, DL55 and everybody else!

Oh Marie but think of the fun you could have with Flarp. Keep it hidden while you play with it. You might be able to clear out the lines and then no waiting at all. :rotfl::rotfl: And on top of it, you'd be famous on the disboards.

Not a bad idea Jo! Are you speaking from experience?

Yummy for the cake...what kind??? Happy Birthday to your DH!

Which color of clogs you will wear to which park.
Bite your tongue!!!!

We can't talk about pool hopping, refillable mugs, lying about the kid's ages, inserting lifts into DD7's shoes so she can ride Rock N Roller Coaster, and how all 9 of us are in one room to save money unless there are other disers around. I might even wear my special Disboards t-shirt. I want to make sure they all know I am a member here. :rotfl:

And just to make sure that we get the attention that we deserve, I'm bringing Flarp (it's a silly putty type toy in a small container. When you squish it down in the container, it farts....very, very loudly) for my kids to play with in line.
:rotfl2:

You have to do something so we can read about you here...

Oh don't you worry about that. ;)
First... I'm going to refuse to put my finger in the scanner when I insert my ticket. Then I'll hold up the line looking for my ID.
Second...I'm renting a wheelchair so we can jump to the front of the line.
Third...I've instructed DS12 to say he's 9 so we can buy him a cheaper ticket
Fourth...I'm only bringing singles for the tips at the table service restaurants.
How's that for starters??:lmao:

I hope you are laughing about the Flarp because I'm bringing some for your boys too.

And don't bother with the wheel chair. We'll get 2 ECV's and all take turns driving them while the kids ride in the basket.

And forget the monetary tips. Make up goodie bags filled with the free shampoos from the hotel and just leave them on the table.

We won't need FLarp to make those noises. :rolleyes1 Just don't bring any lighters.

I intend to take the towel animals home too. AND THERE BETTER BE SOME in my room!!!

M&N, it was Italian Cream Cake. Seldom ever anything simple. Thankfully, next week DD will just want plain old chocolate.

Deb & Jo, you girls are so naughty!

Darn right there better be some towel animals. And if there isn't, you just march yourself right down to the front desk, complain about how your whole vacation is ruined and you expect compensation. Your whole trip being comped sounds about fair.

What day do you think we should sneak into Storm Along Bay?

Hee hee....Yea, we sure are. ;)

Happy B-day to your hubby. That cake looks so good.

Let me guess.... and then, of course, you will have to start a new thread here on the Dis about how your vacation was ruined!

Yes, we will. There will be crying and hysterics. Make sure when you read it, you have some tissues handy.

Oh I will! And then I will be sure to post something really sympathetic. After all, how could they possibly treat you that way?????? The nerve of some people!

As usual, I never get to stay and have fun very long. Gotta run. Have a good night ladies!

My children won't sleep if they don't get a towel animal. So then I'll have to let them run up and down the corridor.

And since we're such good friends, you'll report anyone who is mean to us on the thread too? When we go to Disney, I expect to be treated like the Princess that I am.

I'll be there 41 days before my birthday. Do you think that's too early to wear a birthday pin?

Heck no!
It's about 40 days after our wedding anniversary and I intend to wear a Mickey Ears veil.
