Howdy ladies!
Today was my DH's birthday so I got to spend the first part of the day making his birthday cake. Man, was it good! I am still full! DD's birthday is next week so looks like we'll be gaining a few pounds this month!
Beautiful day here today so I worked outside for about 30 minutes this afternoon and actually ended up getting HOT! Summer will be here before I know it! Crazy weather.... it is supposed to possibly storm tonight.

Kitty, I think there are no guardrails cause they can't find enough people crazy enough to hang off the side of a mountain to install them!
Seriously, I wonder if if could have anything to do with snow? Perhaps the guardrails would interfere with the snowplows and the ability to clear large accumulations of snow? Also, they seem to have an abundance of rock slides too so maybe no guardrails makes it easier to clear?
D&D, get well soon!
Jo, there is always something left to plan! Then again, maybe you are just more thorough and get it done right the first time. Me, I always go back and tweak the itinerary or add something else! I would hate to get caught in line by you and your bunch with the Flarp but then again it sounds exactly like something my guys would get a kick out of doing while waiting in line.
Hi M&N, Pikester, Lilmiss, DL55 and everybody else!

Boy, do I remember that feeling, Ev! We still talk about one of our trips to Ouray. No guardrails and in MANY places the white stripe that is supposed to mark the edge of the highway has fallen off to Lord knows where! There are some very high mountains in Colorado but also some scary deep abysses! In my case, we had ate German food and I was pregnant. Talk about a really good case of nausea! I hope you have been through the worst and can now just go back to enjoying the scenery. Arizona should be much calmer driving!no guard rails so it's quite the hair-raising drive.![]()
