Bopsmom, I wouldn't worry about the chair. I personally haven't thought anything negative about someone in a chair, and I don't understand why anyone would. If you need it, use it. Take care of yourself, and I hope you have a wonderful vacation! :goodvibes

MK, my senior year in high school, someone from the year before (DH's class) passed away. There have been quite a few since. Very sad...

The kids have been torturing each other. I'm starting to feel like we should be doing schoolwork so they are productive and quit messing with each other. Of course, there are times when they play together, but then the house is a mess. Either way, I really don't feel like teaching or cleaning up the mess. I've never had a pregnancy wear me out like this one has. :sad2:

Hmmmm, it's been 4 hours.... Sorry I killed the thread. :guilty:

You didn't kill the thread, Kerrie. Over at FB posting about kid's upset tummy's, ummm, poop, and what to do about school.

So, you are down to a week and counting.

Love a good poop conversation!

A week from today Victoria will be here, whether she likes it or not!

Yeah, I seem to know loads about that. :rotfl:

How are the other kids? Are they ready for little sis to make her big appearance?

DS asks every day if she's coming. They seem to be ready and excited. My littlest one watched me change yesterday and said she loves my belly. She's so cute!

Did your DH make it home safely?

Aww, that's so cute. The littlest one is the spitfire, right?

I loved being pregnant right up until the last 2 weeks. By then I just wanted that baby OUT. :rotfl:

He made it home about 11:30 last night and had today off. Only had to run out to the store this morning since we didn't know he was coming home. The rest of the day, we just sat around the house watching movies.

My two youngest are definite handfuls! Either one will wear you out. Together, I'm lucky I survive each day.

Sounds like ya'll had a wonderful day. :goodvibes My DH only just now made it home. And, his boss said I can't have the baby tonight because he has lots to do tomorrow. Home 3 hours late and going in early tomorrow.

My youngest 2 have been wearing me out lately too. I think it's because it's been too cold to go outside to play. They've just been nitpicking at each other.

Curt has to go back to work tomorrow but only local. After that, we have no clue what is going on.

But I remember the days when he would get home late and have to go back in a few hours. They really sucked. Time only for dinner before bed and then he'd have to get up to do it all over again.

That's exactly what DH is doing. His boss is pretty worried about him missing when the baby's born, too. He's switched positions recently. He was the back up mechanic in addition to being a bodyman. But, the mechanic recently passed away, so Joe is now full time mechanic who still does some body work. No one else knows how do his job, so when he misses now, it hurts the shop. I think it's getting stressful.

DH use to work in a body shop years ago when we first met. Low man on the totem pole but he loved the work. He loves cars period. Sometimes I wish he would get back into it. He's so detailed orientated that it just fit with his nature. But he'd never be able to find a job doing that paying as much as roofing does. Maybe in a few years when some of the kids are older.

Did DH start at the bottom too?

My DH took body classes in high school, then went to Wyo Tech for college. He considers it an art and takes great pride in what he does. He has also done lots of fabrication on his own. He's wanted to start his own fab shop, but it's such a risk, especially with such a big family to support. He does stuff on the side when he has time. It can really wear out your body, too. He's 33 and has already had back and hand surgery, and is probably looking at more in the future.

I see what Curt does now in roofing and think anything has to be better than this. He's worked through snow storms, 110+ degree temps on the roof, even the remnants of a hurricane blowing through up here. It's hard and I love him for doing it for us. I know he has back problems, knee problems along with general aches and pains.

He wants to go back to school for fabrication but worries about if it's going to take away from a money making opportunity. It almost seems like a vicious circle you can't get out of.

I'm always amazed at what a man will put himself through for his family. I've even wanted to get a job to let him take it easier, but he thinks me being home is best for us and our family. If I worked nights, we'd never see each other. It sounds like out DH's are a lot alike.

I've reached the point that I could get a job. Mine are all in school. But now my inlaws have moved in and they are just lazy people. Would not do a darn thing to help out here. Long story and been witching about for a long time. If I was working now, I would have to come home to clean up after everyone.

It's a hard place to be. I know things would be easier for us monetary wise if I worked. But we would be more miserable. Once the in laws are out, we'll discuss it again.

While the kids were younger, he thought it was best that I stayed home too. It really just worked for us. But now, I wonder what could be different.

Better to be happy and broke than rich and miserable. :goodvibes

Time to put the last of the kids to bed, and join DH. Good Night!

I agree. Here I am with no family but feel it is good for mom's to stay home---and I say that with a big IF possible. I do know some who could make it possible but think their kids need everything out there. Maybe if mom were home more, the kids would not be spoiled brats. Grandma babysits and has spoiled them rotten by giving them their way.

My friend and I were sitting at MK waiting for the parade across from Hall of Pres. A cm started putting up ropes and ssaid that was a handicap viewing area. My friend says she has a hip replacement and is considered handicaped. He said she needed a card. She gets out her dr card. He said she needed one from Disney. She said she's never had one before. He let us stay but said if it got crowded we would have to move. She wasn't very happy...said Disney does not ask to see any proof when getting a wheel chair. So probably going to guest services each day is necessary now.

Q: How many animals can you fit into a
pair of pantyhose? Now, think about it...

A: 10 little piggy's, 2 calves, 1 a**, and an unknown number of hares. You have to highlight for the answer...

Why are you :rotfl: at me? :confused3

Did you notice that a NASCAR thread from 2009 was commented on by someone making their 1st post?
