LITC...that boy gets more and more gorgeous every day. I agree, the curls are super cute.

And I'm impressed by your evil ways! Brava!

LITC, great pictures. I love the curls.

Now out of your list....I would do 3 & 4. And I would eat a ton of food and drink enough alcohol to make the reception fun. But make sure you spill the wine before you have a lot of alcohol. Don't want anyone whispering that you are a sloppy drunk. :rotfl:

LITC, you're talking to someone who is a proud member of the "***** bench" Like I would think anything is horrid.

I've been trying to figure out what to make for T-day. We are having Curt's sister over since we have the bigger place. And I need to talk to my brother and see what he is doing. If he's going to my dad's for dinner, I'm going to invite my SIL for dinner. Somehow I'll work out the family visiting time for everyone.

Now I need some good recipes. I'm going to try to con Curt's sister into the making the Turkey at her house so my oven is free throughout the day. She only lives 10 minutes from us so it won't even have time to cool before she gets here.

I'm not much of a cook, but I have a cool recipe for green been casserole, made with sour cream and swiss and cornflake cumbs instead of the normal mushroom soup if you are interested I can look in my recipe box for you.

I have absolutely no recipes for Thanksgiving. I'm usually in charge of the ham and some potatoe dish. And I have no luck with anything sweet potato, which is cruel because I love it so!

LITC, when you have time, please post that recipe. It sounds more like something Jackie would like since she has an aversion to mushrooms.

MK, I'm just at a loss this year. I'm actually tired of the typical T-day recipes that I make. Want to spice things up a bit.

Ev, I was watching it too! I was totally a Backstreet Boy girl. I was singing my heart out. Now I have to get out the CDs....

I think its great the we have different points of view. Don't apologize for anything. For me, as long as I had a means of escape, I'd give it a try.

I'm too old for the KSBoys.

So Michele...what are you looking to make...I've got loads of recipes.

Will do JO, I think that is it for me tonight, want to grab a quick shower before bed, so I can hit snooze a few extra times in the morning.

Good night all!

Night LITC! Catch ya soon.

Ev, I really would love a homemade mac & cheese recipe. One that is kind of creamy though. I just haven't found one that I like yet.

And just some potato sides. I am making the typical mashed potatoes but would like something with a little more kick to them. Or do you have an appetizer recipe that you love? I'm just so tired of the same stuff every year.

night LITC! Tell DH that I would make an exception for his Walmart anytime.

I hear ya, JO about being tired of the same stuff. But then as T-day gets closer, you kinda look forward to the traditions.

I subscribe to both Rachael Ray magazine and Food Network magazine. If I find anything a little exotic, I'll get it to you...

oh, JO, Paula Deen's recipe for Mac and Cheese is absolutely divine. Lots and lots of cheesy goodness. And super easy. To be really bad, make it ahead, freeze it, then cut it up into pieces. Flour then fry. OMG!

Stupid, stupid dis shutting down for upgrades in the middle of some serious food conversation.

MK, please post that recipe for mac & cheese. I'll be cooking some traditional foods because they are the best. But I really like to graze at big gatherings. A little bit of this, a little bit of that. And plenty for seconds if needed. And lots of leftovers so I don't have to cook for a few days afterwards.

Well JO, here is a little story on Walter tonight.

We gave Walter a bath, he had the CUTEST curls afterwards so I decided to try and take a picture for his TK aunties:

He is just too cute!!!!!

Good morning!

I see we were talking turkey last night. Seriously though, I hear you about what to make for Thanksgiving. I can pass on a little tip to spice up the mashed potatoes. I make my taters like normal (butter and milk) but then I add lemon pepper and garlic salt to taste. Yummy!

I'm still trying to decide what to have for T-day dinner. We usually eat at the in-laws but since FIL passed MIL is going to FL to visit with her daughter. I asked my Mom what she was doing but she said she didn't know. So I'm cooking dinner for my family but it's not going to be a traditional dinner. MIL said that she plans to cook a turkey the weekend after she gets back so I assume we'll do a big dinner then. I just can't decide if I want to do a smaller version of turkey, taters, etc or if we should just do something completely different.

Kitty: Boo for Walmart. That one sucks!

LITC: You are so mean. I like it!

JO: You are such a good SIL.

BK: I hope you were able to warm up.

D&D: Since the wedding is close by I would probably go and enjoy the free food and drinks. Now, I could bring the whole family, leave the kids home and bring hubby or leave them all home and just go and sit with my Mom.

Good Morning Ladies.
I have been reading trying to catch up.
I just wanted to post some random comments....

Walter is just too cute. :goodvibes I just want to squish him.

DH and MIL 'think' they have Thanksgiving all figured out. She wants to go out....heck no, I hate that...no leftovers. My mom said, "you'd think that two women with more than (a combined) 100 years of cooking experience could pull off a turkey" I know that they are trying to be considerate but, I'm not an invalid and I like to cook.

I'd love the Mac and Cheese recipe.

I saw a mention of the B.... Bench....

I'll post the picture.....I've been sitting on it for a whille now and I think I'd better scoot over. :goodvibes
