TKers...8 is NOT enough!

If I had my choice, I'd prefer to marry in the springtime. BF's birthday is November, Ev and I are 12/9...so it would be nice to change it up a bit and celebrate something earlier in the year. But I"m not complaining...if its an option, I'll marry him whenever he wants (just not too soon! still getting used to the idea of being someone's wife)

I wanted to get married on May 9th (for my own reasons). But I would have had to wait like 5 years for it to fall on a weekend. So then like we got married on Sept.25, 13 days after I turned 21. And I thought of the whole spreading it out, but it still works. But you should do what you want to do.;)

Evening Ladies!

It's been a total whirlwind weekend here. We went to SIL's on Saturday night. She put together a small party for me. I don't think I've had a birthday party since I was a little kid. She cooked up a bunch of food, got me a bottle of rum and the ice tea I like to mix it with, and even a cake. There is plenty of cake left but no rum. :rolleyes1 It was a great time.

Today, we went out to Hershey to meet M&N. I forgot the camera but she took pictures. I'm sure she'll post some when she gets home tomorrow. We didn't stay all day but we did spend the whole afternoon taking Alexis and Livvie on rides. M&N even got Livvie to go on the big Pirate ship. And of course she loved it.

And one funny thing, we were talking about you, MK, wondering when you were getting back and how you hadn't posted. We were thinking you didn't post because you had a little surprise (a ring) to tell us about.

Glad you had a great trip. Now you need to get over those cold feet.

Sounds like an awesome time. Rum is my prefered liquor as well. Can't wait to see some pics of you all having fun!

Sounds like you had a great birthday weekend JO! Glad your SIL was so thoughtful--including the rum. Good girl.

I'm glad you were able to meet up with M! And nice to hear the girls had a good time too.

I wear a size 10 ring. I have man-hands. I actually kinda dread the time when there's a ring and it won't fit. I've tried to drop hints that my man-hands need a specially sized ring, but I never know if he's really paying attention....

I wouldn't worry too much about it. Lots of jewelers can size in a days time. And you can always wear it on a necklace if you HAVE to,until you size it.

Morning ladies!

Welcome back Kitty! So very glad to hear you had a good time.

DH and I got married in Sept because he wanted to be married in the Fall. He had a friend whose wedding he had been in that took place during that season and he loved the weather.

JO: Sounds like you and M&N had a good time. And the Birthday party...Whoohoo!

D&D: Still working hard on getting your house back to the way you want I see.

Hi BKMETV and LITC!

Have to work today so I hope everyone has a nice day and I'll try to stop by later.

Morning Ladies:

Can't say we really planned our wedding date...It was just the Sat that worked for everyone. Since we were getting married in Scotland we had to plan around events that were happening in my Aunt's lives since the arranged it all for me.
(that sounds real bad doesn't it...but we had planned to elope then my Aunts got a hold of the plans and kept volunteering stuff...next thing I knew I had a reception for 40 at an old mansion and a rolls to drive me to the church.):rotfl:

JO ~ Glad you had fun a Hershey...looking forward to the pics.

MK ~ I agree with LITC...don't worry about the ring size...I had to put mine around my neck because it was too big. Wore it the first day with bandaids under it but I was petrified I would lose it, so onto my necklace it went.

Good morning ladies! Gray and rainy here. Lots of leaves on the ground too. Seems like fall came with a bang.

When it comes down to it, BF could propose with a straw and I'd be over the moon. Its just weird to really talk about it, not just in an abstract fashion. I mean, I am fully aware of my quirks and issues...its kinda crazy to think that he's okay with it and is in for the long haul!

Didn't get called for jury duty today, but have to keep calling all week until they tell me to stop. I think I'll get called tomorrow. Today they wanted jury numbers 1-102, and I'm 121. I'm hoping they'll get all their jury today, otherwise I can pretty much guarantee that I'll be chosen. I always am. But better to be on jury here than in White Plains nearly 2 hours away.

I would have to say my preferred liquor is vodka. I love a vodka sunrise. ooh, I also like a midori sour. And a pina colada. ah, forget it. I like lots.

oh, did you see the coverage of the flight that had an emergency landing at JFK yesterday? It was a Delta. I was on Delta on Saturday. Makes me so thankful that it all went well.

D! Glad to hear from you. DH just asked yesterday how your area was holding up with the rain going through WI. I wasn't sure what part of the state you are in. And thank you as well!
We are okay here. Sunny, dry and cold in our area.
The rain is mostly in the northern/northwestern part of the state. Those storms were just training through that area and dumped so much rain on those poor people and then the levy failed too. :guilty: So sad. Very similar to the weather we had in July in Milwaukee. Flooding and sinkholes up the wazoo. Its been the year from h*ll in the entire state.

Glad you had a good time in Kansas. I too thought for sure we'd have a :bride: in our TKer group. I even bought a ton of TP for the shower.
Oh, as for a wedding date, I suggest June 27th. I'm sure Pikester would back me on the greatness of that day. ;)

Mmm...Rum. Guess I'll have to bring a bottle with us in Oct. pirate: Glad you had a grat day.

Aww...that's so sweet. :lovestruc

My liquor(s) of choice is sweet red wine and Peach Schnapps. Oh, and Long Island Ice Tea sure goes down (hic) smooth!!

Just kidding!!! It's an extra post you know!

YEAH for 2000 LITC...I'm sure Walter will help that count go up if you let him type more! You did have several long posts that could have been separated... (HINT ;) )

Yeah Kitty...JO and I figured something must be up. You didn't even post a Having a great time--glad you're not here post! :confused3 We missed not hearing from you...glad the gambling wasn't in the red.

Are all these anniversaries on out cheat sheet? Sorry I missed the anniversary LITC...

JO's youngest still can talk your ear off. She is so funny about the rides. She's not too sure about it but then wants to get on it again! I got to take D&D's youngest place on the Trailblazer. As soon as we told her that was one she went on with him, she just got so excited to ride it! She drove JO and I in the cars but I had to hold the pedal down...she's not stong enough! I told her to watch that she didn't drive like Kyle and hit the wall! I got a fist made at me but she was ok with the teasing. It was a beautiful day at the park too.

Sounds like you had a wonderful day M! JO's family is just so cute. I can't even imagine the little one not being able to push the pedal. Adorable!

Packing my goody bag for jury duty. I pack a snack, some gum, reading materials and puzzles. Gotta keep myself busy while doing my civic duty!

Can't wait to tell BF that D married us this afternoon....

If I let Walter on the computer you and D wouldn't have to compete anymore, Walter would win by miles!!
I've thought of that to - but didn't want to be accused of cheating!!

No biggie! Do we have a cheat sheet somewhere? I'd love a copy if we do.

Awww. that is so sweet. I wish they could have come down during the picnic.

Hello Ladies! Been raining here all day and it's suppose to rain all day tomorrow. This weather just makes me feel tired. But DWTS is on so I guess I can stay up a little later.

Anybody remember when DL55 is suppose to get back?

LITC, you should be able to meet my little motormouth in just a couple of weeks.

M&N, Livvie was a total trip with the rides. And thank you for helping her be so brave. I knew she would like the rides she was iffy about but I think it just took another person to help convince her.

And I use to have a birthday/anniversary cheat sheet around here. I"ll have to see if I can find it.

Whoo --- Hoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This may be a more appropriate post for facebook, but I'm avoiding people over there so....

The song "infatuation" by Rod Stewart is running through my head, only with the word "aggrevation" being substituted.

No jury duty tomorrow!

Now I have that song in my head! You ok, LITC?

Evening Ladies!
The family is watching the Packers-Bears game so here I am.

Glad to hear you all are safwe. June 27 works to (It's also DH b-day!)

.

See, I knew that was a great day!!!:thumbsup2 2 b-days and an anniversary on that day. It rocks!!!For those of you keeping score, you don't have to remember that many dates.

If Walter comes on he will need his own sign-in name. He and "The Prez" can rack up posts together on the games board.

I don't think she talks that much. Then again, look who I have to compare her to. :cool2:
