DW2010!

DW2010: My Mom (AKA: Sukie) and I are taking a Disney Cruise in 2012. We are hoping to cruise on the Disney Dream. I am so NOT patiently waiting for the 2012 itineraries and rates to come out so I can book it.

Happy belated Anniversary Pike and Bryan. YOu guys are awesome. (Sorry I am late - Walter was "playing" on my computer yesterday and froze it.)

Happy birthday JO, we love ya!

Happy Anniversary to me and DH!

Such a wonderful 2 say span here!!!!

Thank you for all the birthday wishes. Curt is already on his way home from work. He told his boss a little fib that he is really sick so he could leave early. Wish he could have taken the whole day off but I'll take what I can get.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY LITC AND MR. LITC! What a great day for you 2 to have chosen to get married, if I do say so myself. I hope you have a wonderful day.

Thanks JO, I love the day as well!!!!!

Hope you have a great day with the family. Sorry Curt had to work part of the day, but at least it is pretty early. Did you get to sleep in at all?

DW2010

Just stopped by to say Hi and catch up...hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Morning:

A nice sunny day here but much cooler...think a Sunday roast is in order. Looks like it was a quiet night.

Morning ladies! I'm back! We got back yesterday afternoon, but our flight was at 6am, so by the afternoon, we were beat! Just read a few posts up, and so much good news!

Happy anniversaries LITC and DH, Pikester and DH!

Happy birthday JO!

Welcome to new friend DW2010!

I have to go back and read everything, but just wanted to stop by and say hello to my ladies! Hope you're having a good day so far!

Morning,
Sunny cold Sunday morning here. Last night it got down to 40 - brrr! Tonight supposed to get down to upper 30s! :scared1: Luckily the days have been in the 60s-70.
Planted my dogwoods yesterday and overseeded the lawn. Boy am I tired today and so is DH. Hoping for a quieter day today.

LITC - Happy Anniversary to you both.

and congrats on 2000 posts. I'm proud of my other shamless poster. ;)

Kitty - Welcome back. Can't wait to hear all about the trip.

JO & M&N - Hope you're having a great time today!

Welcome home kitty - we missed you around here. Hope the trip was good. And thanks for the wishes!

D! Glad to hear from you. DH just asked yesterday how your area was holding up with the rain going through WI. I wasn't sure what part of the state you are in. And thank you as well!
I'm not TO shameless, look how long it took me to get there!!

ok, I'm all caught up! I guess M and JO are meeting up today at Hershey! Hope everyone's having a wonderful time!

D...I was watching some of the flooding coverage and was hoping that your area wasn't affected. I guess if you were planting trees, your yard is doing just fine!

LITC...that story about Walter's crying in the swing was so cute! He's learning about the world and what he likes and doesn't.

DW2010...my heartfelt condolences on your loss. So happy for you to have found happiness again and congrats on getting your degree!

The trip went great. I still hate the Atlanta airport, almost missed the connecting. But arrived in Kansas unscathed and we went straight to the casino, where we had a free room booked. It was a really nice room! We ate at the buffet and gambled for a bit. We did pretty well, BF and I do much better gambling separately. We came out a few hundred on top.

The next day we tried to go to Noodles and Co for a promotional free lunch. It was a madhouse and left to go to Cheesecake Factory. No pumpkin cheesecake yet! Darn! We also went to the cider mill to have fresh donuts and cider. We brought a dozen to BF's sister and family and had dinner there. The girls are getting so big and are excited for Halloween.

We went to the Zoo the next day which was lots of fun. We were sitting and eating ice cream (we had gorgeous weather the entire time we were there) when it actually came out of my mouth--this would be a great place for a wedding. And BF didn't freak out--he said, "you want to?" and then I freaked out. No, we didn't get married, but if we did, looks like we'd share an anniversary with LITC and Pike!

Finally had the infamous Kansas City barbecue and it was GOOD! Also had frozen custard and that was really really good too.

Convinced BF it would be in his best interest to walk off all the barbecue calories in the mall. I didn't get very much, but found a ton of shirts for BF at Macys on clearance. Aeropostale also had some good sales.

Also went to the Toy and Miniature museum, which I've been trying to see. They had a special 50th anniversary Barbie exhibit. They had the German Lili doll--the inspiration of the Barbie doll. I had never seen one before so it was really exciting for me!

Night before we left, went to a different casino. I only brought home a little bit, but BF did great! I told him that he should put the money away for a "special occasion" fund. HINT HINT.

As I said before, yesterday's flight was a 6am. NEVER AGAIN. We had to leave by 4am an that just hurt.

MK ~ sounds like you had a great time.

Had to giggle about you getting cold feet this time. Thought for a second we were going to have a TKer :bride:

If I had my choice, I'd prefer to marry in the springtime. BF's birthday is November, Ev and I are 12/9...so it would be nice to change it up a bit and celebrate something earlier in the year. But I"m not complaining...if its an option, I'll marry him whenever he wants (just not too soon! still getting used to the idea of being someone's wife)

Evening Ladies!

It's been a total whirlwind weekend here. We went to SIL's on Saturday night. She put together a small party for me. I don't think I've had a birthday party since I was a little kid. She cooked up a bunch of food, got me a bottle of rum and the ice tea I like to mix it with, and even a cake. There is plenty of cake left but no rum. :rolleyes1 It was a great time.

Today, we went out to Hershey to meet M&N. I forgot the camera but she took pictures. I'm sure she'll post some when she gets home tomorrow. We didn't stay all day but we did spend the whole afternoon taking Alexis and Livvie on rides. M&N even got Livvie to go on the big Pirate ship. And of course she loved it.

And one funny thing, we were talking about you, MK, wondering when you were getting back and how you hadn't posted. We were thinking you didn't post because you had a little surprise (a ring) to tell us about.

Glad you had a great trip. Now you need to get over those cold feet.

Sounds like you had a great birthday weekend JO! Glad your SIL was so thoughtful--including the rum. Good girl.

I'm glad you were able to meet up with M! And nice to hear the girls had a good time too.

I wear a size 10 ring. I have man-hands. I actually kinda dread the time when there's a ring and it won't fit. I've tried to drop hints that my man-hands need a specially sized ring, but I never know if he's really paying attention....
