Doubt there is anyone still around this evening but just in case I thought I would pop in and say hiddy-ho to everyone right before I hit the sack! I've been reading and reading and trying to catch up. Stupid DIS does not send regular updates! I know I can't blame it all on them cause I could have checked back in sooner myself. In my defense, my computer may very well be on it's death bed.

About all I have been keeping up with is browsing threads for our November DL trip planning and some quick posts on Facebook now and then.
M&N, sounded like a nice birthday surprise day with your friends. Bummer about having to take your trees down but thank heavens they did not damage your house. Yikes! I hope you have not had any more close encounters with your striped friend! I would love to see DC someday too! Very nice way to boost your post count. I must try it some day.
I would love to see Ramona and Beezus but I don't think anyone else around here would. I used to read those books when I was a kid. DD and I read them now sometimes but I don't think she appreciates Ramona as much as I did. The family enjoyed Toy Story 3 and How to Train Your Dragon so I have probably gotten in my movie limit for the next 6 months.
D&D, so glad you missed the second round of storms! I just hate that your family had to go through worrying about that again! Glad your battle with the insurance company is finally making some progress. Hate to hear that you had a disappointing visit with your mom and then her trying to talk your son into going to the party. What is this woman thinking?
Hope you get to make up for your canceled trip soon.
Jo, hope you are hanging in there even with the squatters still hanging around. How dare they interrupt your computer time! I'd have been tempted to clunk dear old dad with the spoon after pulling that stunt! Glad you got to take a break from them for a few days.
Love the idea of online grocery shopping. Too bad they don't offer it in my area.
Kitty, very impressive all that your family does in the Phils..... well, except for the cattle rustling. Hope all your visitors are settling down so you can get back to normal. What an amazing run of concerts! I looked up Celtic Woman's Amazing Grace on
youtube and it was heavenly!
We went to a place in Arkansas one time where they had a recreation of the Holy Lands. They had the tour group we were with sing Amazing Grace in a "tomb". It will be forever embedded in my memory as the most beautiful I have ever heard that song.... even with me singing! The acoustics in that "tomb" worked miracles and made everyone sound like angels.
Aw darn! Too bad you didn't get to meet up with Wendy.
Pikester, congrats on the high praise and being asked to sub again! I liked your theory on cleaning house! Why do today what you can put off until tomorrow, right?
Kerrie, hope you are feeling well these days! Won't be too much longer.
Whoo-hoo
DL55's making more travel plans! I have you another Pigeon song. My son listens to one called Pigeon on the Gate. Strange thing I discovered.... when you have poor eyesight and sit in the back seat the song name displayed on the radio looks more like Pissin on the gate.
Faithful_Tink, if you are still around, hello from another of the fellow Texans! I'm a SAHM too. Which part of Texas are you from? I'm up near Fort Worth.
LITC, boo that Walter did not win the contest BUT I know everyone around here still thinks he is gorgeous! Almost one year old. How can that be? I missed out seeing the photos. Send me a link! I can always use some more adorable Walter photos to look at!
pepperw23, oh my! How scary about DD! Glad she is okay! Carjackings too? Makes me glad I live in the boonies.
Sukie, you can send some of your rain my way!
lilmiss, so glad that they found out about Ben's sleep apnea. Hope they fix him up so he can get a good night's sleep.
Hi
disney54us,
Ev, and anyone else I missed.
As I mentioned I've been planning for our DL trip in November. Got our room and tickets awhile back. Finally, a few days ago, got a good deal on our airfare... which ended up being quite an experience. As soon as I told DH about it he said I should have made it so we could have been in the park for Thanksgiving. Silly me! I assumed that he would want to go to his brother's house like we always do but he informed me that we were NOT going this year. Would have been nice if I had known this BEFORE I got the tickets. Anyway, not being one to miss a great opportunity to not get together with his family I made a few phone calls and added a few days on our trip. Cost a bit more than my original plan but it will be worth it. I am so excited! We will be having Thanksgiving at
Disneyland! How cool is that? Beats the heck out of spending it with his family!
