Good morning ladies! Wasn't around yesterday coz I went exploring. Usually we venture to Jersey City to mail boxes and to do ethnic food shopping, but we heard to a place much closer to us, about an hour away. We found it in this out of the way strip mall, but its perfect! So much less stressful than driving through city traffic.

On the way back, we went to the mall. We literally just got off the exit when there was a HUGE accident behind us. Fire trucks, police, ambulance, helicopter, the works. I'm just so thankful that we weren't caught up in that. I pray that everyone is ok.

I scored some amazing shoes yesterday. I had loved them last year, but I wouldn't pay full price for them. Then when I went back with my coupon, they were sold out! But today for some reason, they had them on clearance for $5! So excited. I've been wearing them around the house. They're really comfy for three inch heels.

D...I would proudly wear a cheesehead. I think they're great, and I look fantastic in hats---I have a huge head.

Be safe this weekend M! ENjoy the last days of summer everyone! Its supposed to be gorgeous around here, a little hot, but I"ll take it!

Well we're off to do some floor, paint, door, and light shopping. I would say this is almost like Christmas where you get a check and get to go buy stuff. However this summer has been anything but fun. And, the insurance check is rather small when you actually go price the true cost of stuff so we end up having to put more money towards the item we want.

Do you guys have a "Habitat" store? It is a store that sells used building supplies and the proceeds go to habitat for humanity. That might be a good bet to save some $$. The ones around here sell good quality items.

I remember reading in UG that Disney has a broad definition of water view. There had better be water in that fountain. Ours is usually dry.

We saw an accident yesterday also. It was in the intersection in front of us. We saw a minivan roll over and land upside down. The family crawled out, they looked ok but went to the hospital to be safe. The other minivan's front end was all smashed up but the passenger compartment was fine. Everyone was ok.

Ugh accidents. I HATE driving. It really scares me. If I could be a SAHM who rarely had to venture out, I'd be a much happier, calmer person. I have been rear ended twice and I have SO many back problems which got much worse after I carried Walter. I sleep with a heating pad on my back pretty much every night.

On a brighter note, I found a bottle of lime green naile polish at Walmart today for $2, I plan on doing my toe nails, and possibly my nails (I rarely do them because they get so chipped at work) for Walters party.

Hi and good morning LITC and everyone else! Just got back from church. Its wonderful out there and only supposed to get hotter. I think its calling for watermelon!

My allergies really flared up last night. Just kept sniffling and coughing. A bit better right now, but I've also been chugging tea to try to keep the throat soothed.

The Emmys are on tonight. I have to go out to the store to get some goodies for my watching pleasure. I haven't decided what to wear yet. Its such a blessing that BF puts up with my antics...

Hi Kitty! I don't usually watch awards shows but I do like seeing what the ladies are wearing. Some of those dresses make me wonder if they lost a bet or something.

Spent yesterday afternoon at my cousin's wedding. The funny part is I still haven't met his wife yet. Oh well, I'm sure it will happen sometime. I heard that my cousin will be shipping out with the Navy in December and going to Afghanistan for a year. Not sure what that means for his new wife but he is a pretty responsible guy so I'm sure they've talked about it.

Yesterday morning I went to a book sale and got 25 books for $5! Gotta have my romance and intrigue fix ya know. I always regret not buying more but there are so many people crowded into the small place they put the books that I just want to get out of there. There is always next year!

Going shopping with Mom and taking DS9 with me. DH and DS12 are at a mtn bike race so it's just me and DS9 today. I need to get him a water bottle for school and I need to return some items to JCP.

We found some outside lights that we like and ordered a new countertop for our center island. Boy, trying to stay in the amt. the insurance gave us it tough. See so many things I like and of course, they're the most expensive. Never fails.

We brought home some samples of flooring to see what works. We had hardwood floors in our kitchen so I'd like to stay with that cuz it looks so nice. The downside is that it is not very practical. I laughed when the sales person told us to keep all water/moisture off the floor. I said, "Do you realize I have 2 boys and this is going in a KITCHEN?"

I have to admit I think it's crazy to put hardwood flooring in a kitchen. But no one asked for my opinion.

LITC I hope you get help for your back. My mom has a bad back and I have had to hear about it for 50+ years. She wouldn't see about treatments. She just discovered they have steroid shots that help.

MagiKitty, M&N and Pikester Is it alright with you if I post the pictures from Hersey? I just downloaded to my CPU, just have to put into photobucket.

Our local paper has a "best of" for our local businesses. My dentist won the dental group category. They published a picture of his building and my car was front and center. I know what day they took the picture.

Haven't been to a good book sale in a while, but I would love to! My reading list depends on my mood. Been known to get lost in a little smut too! Just finished a book last night, and tonight I"m going to fantasize in my Disney Passporter!

I went to Home Depot this afternoon and was using the self-checkout for my two items. The associate there was absolutely monstrously obnoxious. I went to the first machine, which he told me not to use (in a mean way) but there wasn't a sign on it saying it was broken. So I went to another machine. I was getting drill bits, so when I put them in the bag, the machine kept asking for me to put it in the area. Finally the assoicate pressed whatever button he had to and he could tell I was getting pissed. He started to talk to me and I told him that I found his manner of speaking very aggressive and unnecessary and to not to speak to me like that. I was nearly in tears by the time I got to the car. He was so mean and scary!

I just wrote a hate letter to Home Depot. I feel better.

I actually have hardwood in my kitchen. and yes, its a PITA! But I live in an old house and the floors weren't exactly level, so we went with a poplar that could bend with the floor. We have to be careful and I have throw rugs around the stove and the sink.
