LITC, 55 :scared1:. I am stressing with just 30. And I can't believe he's going to be one? Are you getting one of those cakes that he can just dig into and eat with is hands?

MK, I'm trying not to stress about my dad. I know what's up with my mom (heart tests because of chemo) and she'll try to make it. I've gotten to the point that he'll come around when he's ready for whatever reason.

And I have known Curt's BIL longer than they've known each other. It's really weird. :lmao:

Tell me about it. I am beginning to freak out. I hope it all goes smoothly.

I can't believe he will be one either. I don't like it. I like saying my baby boy is ___ months old.

Yes, we will have a smash cake, in addition to a regular cake, and cupcakes. (all of which my MIL will be making,as she has been doing cakes for probably 30 years or so), so even better, they are all free!!

oh, did your MIL do that cake at Hershey? That was super yummy! Oh, our little boy is going to be one! I can't believe it!

My brother's birthday party is Saturday too. I'm already planning to try to steal some leftovers!

Darn, I missed homemade cake at Hershey???!!!!

LITC, you can always refer to Walter in months. Livvie is actually 87 months old. But it's been a long day so don't ask me how many months Curtis is. :rotfl2:

Good morning ladies!

I'd need a calculator to figure out how many months old I am. Not a pretty thought.

Trying convince myself to do laundry. I'm losing the argument.

Happy day everyone!

The boards are always crazy.

We are having a big picnic on Saturday....about 30 people. Friends, family, some of Curt's co-workers. I doubt either one of my parents will make it. But my brother and his family will be here along with my Aunt and Uncle. Some of Curt's BIL's friends are old friends of mine since before I even knew Curt. WE all get along great so I'll still have a great time.

And Sunday, I might be meeting up with another Aunt I haven't seen in years. Stuff happened between her and my dad and we just drifted away from each other. But we caught up again and are going to see each other and see what happens. Time to stop letting other family run my life.

Can you tell there's a lot of drama in my family. :headache::headache:
This sounds like it is going to be a wonderful picnic. I hope your guests are bringing something to help you feed all those people.
I know you will all have a wonderful time with our without some family members. Even though I know it still hurts, just remember that family isn't always the people you share bloodlines with. Stay focused on those that ARE coming and enjoy yourself.

ah, family. What can you do? Just smile and talk about them behind theirbacks....
You got that right.

big parties all around this Saturday. Walter's 1st birthday party is this saturday. So far 55 confirmed, YIKES!
OMG...You just take it easy and don't over do it. Enjoy every min. of that precious 1st birthday and get ready to just toss Walter in the tub when it is all done. DS8 was so messy after his cake we just took him right to the tub.

We had a nice time at the pool yesterday and the kids enjoyed themselves. Except for a couple of instances where DS12 got a little out of hand, it wasn't too bad.
Tonight we have school orientation and we need a pick-up truck to get all their supplies to school. Of course we are expecting some severe storms tonight so this will make for a stressful evening at a school where 90% of the kids just went through a tornado 2 months ago. That school psychologist is going to have her hands full this year.

Kids start school in 20hrs and 40min!!!!!!:yay::dance3::cheer2::banana::cool1:

hey D! Congrats on the kids going back to school. I can tell you're excited too! I was just thinking of the Prez...I'm watching a program on Thomas Jefferson on History channel.

I just looked at my planner and I have a lot of socializing to do in these upcoming weeks. Scared, I made an appointment for a cut and color. I hate to spend the money on it, but what's the use of coloring my hair at home if it looks crappy anyway? I haven't had a haircut since last year so its way overdue....I've never found a stylist that I love so I'm just going to someone who can take me tomorrow. I only get a straight cut so it shouldn't be too traumatizing!

It looks like I might as well avoid logging in on Saturday as everyone will be at parties. party:

LITC 55 people! :faint: I can't get any family to visit.

I am sure the Prez would love that show. He isn't as excited about the presidents as he once was. Football has taken its place - for now. He can rattle off stats like nothing. He gets his obsessive issues from his father. May have to look for that History Channel series and purchase it.

Don't worry so much about the socializing. I am sure people will love you no matter what you look like. You're such a sweetie!! I know what you mean about wanting a new style but can't find the right stylist. Same here. And so I live with the same old style year after year.

Hey I hope I didn't offend anyone with my FB comments on the pregnant bikini model. It was not meant to be a debate but merely pointing out that some people should really look at themselves in the mirror before venturing out in public. I know I can't pull off a bikini so I don't wear one. Wish others (and some men:sad2:) felt the same.

I'd love to come visit my "sister" in NM someday. :cool1:

D&DDisney I see you need NM to add to your map. Now you have to visit. :goodvibes  We don't get tornadoes in our part of the state either. ;)

It is our goal to get out west some day. Got a lot of states there I need to add. Especially Southwest. Usually we don't get many tornados here either. Just lucky this year I guess. All time record in WI.
How far are you from TX border?

Oh D...I hope I didn't start anything with my comment. I'm at odds over what people wear. I absolutely hate it when people wear pajama bottoms out in public. It looks so dirty to me, dragging on the ground. And when people wear itty bitty shorts that don't leave much to the imagination. But then I feel that if you want to wear something, regardless of how you may look in it, and it makes you feel good then go for it! I've seen some big gals wearing skimpy clothing and look great! I'm just not comfortable in it though. I pretty much dress like a 50s housewife in my daily gear: skirts and sweater sets in the cooler months, and skirts with tees during the summer. I only wear shorts during activities where my skirt may fly up!

I'm in my 30s now, my body is only going to get worse, so celebrate it now! I looked better yesterday, but today I look better than tomorrow!

I still think we should all fly to Vegas, rent a van and tour the southwest....now that would be a fun trip!

Well it depends on which border. :scratchin We have Texas on two sides. It takes us an hour and a half to get to El Paso. I think it would take us another hour to get to go east if we could go straight east. It's hard to go directly to any where else. I think it took us about 4 hours to get to Lubbock.

Too many skirts for me MagiKitty. ;)I don't have much fashion sense but I do think sneakers (with socks) look silly with skirts (at least on me). Sneakers are my shoe of choice. :rolleyes1 I have admit also that I don't remember to sit like a lady all the time. Shorts help prevent unwanted exposure. :rotfl:
A tour of the Southwest is great as long as you like wide open stretches of nothing. :lmao: The Grand Canyon is impressive though.

I am both dreading and looking forward to the party. I always stress myself out over these situations, but I told myself I am going to let Walter dictate how things go Saturday.

Most of the time I prefer it that way. And we are lucky to have those "core" people in our family and friends that end up making that number.

I absolutely hate when people go out in pajamas. Come on get dressed already. You wouldn't want me to go out in MY pajamas.....:scared1:

When is M&N due back? There's a lot of talk about the hurricane hitting the Carolinas. I hope she's ok!

I'm still alive!!! Hey there TK'ers!!! Just an update on things that have been going on:

Ben's doing AWESOME with his CPAP machine. He's been adjusting very well and we only had one incident Sunday night when he took the mask off during his sleep and I went to check on him and he didn't have the mask on nor the machine on but we fixed that problem the next night.

I've been busy with preparing for yet another year in school. My job is going wonderfully and such and I love it so much!!!! So much happening and doesn't seem like there's a whole lot of time to do everything. THought I would share a video of Ben and I on his second night of his CPAP usage. Its only our first one.
