Kerrie, I'm an IE too!
Oh ladies, the day did not go as planned. All heck broke loose at once. UPS man arrived, bearing my shoe order and the blu-ray player my sister got me. I just managed to get that hooked up when DirecTv called to say that they should be arriving within 30 minutes.
At that point, the oil man arrived to fill my tanks.
DirecTv man also arrived, but he had to wait until oil man left to pull into the driveway. And it was the Cutie! He has a cute little red beard coming in. But he looked scared.
He saw that I already had two satellite dishes on my roof, on the third floor. I told him that I had one for regular programming and one for international. He said the HD receiver was totally different and at a different angle, he didn't know if he could do it. So we walked the perimeter of the house and determined that the best place to put the new dish would be on the OTHER SIDE of the house. Would be great if the box wasn't in the basement over here. After much discussion and my near tears, we decided it would be best to scrap the installlation altogether and wait for the spring, when he could get on the roof without endangering his life.
I was worried that his not being able to install would get him in trouble, but we spoke to his office and explained everything. What a waste of time on both our parts. No HD, no DVR service.
He did say that when the thaw comes, he'll most likely be the one to install it, as he lives in town. and that his name is---wait for it---
BOBBY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My stomach sank. We have no future together. I can't be with someone with the same name as me. Ugh.
