Don't forget to watch the Burgermeister Meisterburger tonight!!!! (aka "Santa Clause is Coming to Town") :santa: 8 Eastern/ 7 Central

ooh thanks D! I'd really appreciate it. My glue is tacky, but I still feel like its barely holding on. Hardly enough to flirt with!

I'm excited for Santa too!

Sounds like you need a drink. Or, maybe been drinking too much??:rotfl2:

And its not Dec. 15th........DEC. 17th!!! The day Kerrie is going to have her baby. :thumbsup2

Need the drink, most definitely. Brain is just fried from dealing with the kids myself.

Hey everyone. Hope everyone is having a good day. :grouphug::flower3:

Hey pepper!!!!! How you doing?

DL55, I agree, your vacation starts the moment you walk out that door. How long will you be in Disney?

Curt told me to narrow the house choices down by the time he gets home. And it looks like it will be for the Holidays. :cool1: I'm still working on fitting Sea World into the plans but one step at a time.

Vacation is a year away....is it too early to add a ticker?

LITC, Walter just gets more adorable. He is absolutely the cutest little boy I have ever seen. Jackie has been following along watching him grow too. She loves seeing new pictures of him. So much in fact, she took a picture of his picture on the computer screen with her phone. She wants to show her best friend the cutest baby she's ever seen.

Its never too early for a ticker in my opinion!

Way too cute LITC! What did Walter's shirt say? Happy to hear that work is still in the dark.

Hi Pike, The middle part said Future Mayor of Main Street USA, and the name tag part said Walter, and Strongsville, OH

LITC- Those pics of Walter getting his haircut are too cute!!!:cutie:

Thanks Deb!

OH MY! OH MY! And just when you think he cannot possibly get any cuter! Was that his first hair cut? Did he get the hat? How can you not talk about it at work? I would be so thrilled with Walter's first reactions I do not see how I could keep my mouth shut about it. What was his favorite thing? He just seems to love everything. I wish his aunties could have been there too!

Yes,it was his first haircut and we got the "baby's first haircut"package that came with the ears. It was wonderful, and it has been VERY hard to keep my mouth shut about it! He really seemed to like the characters, except maybe Tigger, who he "hit". Yikes!

Hello everyone! :wave2:
Loved Walter's pictures.

Started making reservations for our trip.
Tentative dates are April 22 to May 18th. Should I do the Disney countdown from the start or just when we get to Disney (May 2) ? I still haven't made ADRs. :guilty: Plan to call tomorrow if we agree on which day for our third ADR. Only doing 3 - HDDR, Italy, and Japan (sorry too lazy to look up names right now).

I think we are getting new computers next year. I don't like sharing with DH :p

Thanks DL, and DH and I have seperate to,only mine is SO due for an upgrade but it is not at all in the budget.

Stangely enough, I have 2 friends who are DQ. I'll send them a message and let you know what they say.

We're supposed to get a snow storm this weekend (Friday into Sat) Up to 8 inches expected. Better go make sure that snow blower is working.

That's very interesting D!!

OMG,that is so sweet! One of the photographers at my work is taking free family photos this Saturday so we are going to run up there on my DH lunchbreak, and he will me a CD of the pic. I will post that when I get it to!

LITC, I don't know how you've managed to keep quiet about your trip. I don't think I could do it.

Thanks for the idea JO...I just have to show Mom Walter's pic!

I happened to hear Focus On the Family on the radio today. I heard them talking about---Have a New Kid By Friday ---by Dr Kevin Leman. He was talking about positive discipline. You do not give a lecture ahead of time about behaving in the grocery store and give negetaive warnings. If they misbehave, when they get home and expect a snack, say no because their behavior does not deserve a snack and walk away. I cannot remember all he said but he was good. Do not argue about getting up for school...when they get ready take them but with a note that says they were late because they were not up in time for the bus. You know this is an illegal absense and treat the student with all the consequences this deserves. The ball is in the kid's court for his actions. He was very entertaining.

Burrrrrr...only 31 but could be worse! And it will be worse so I guess I need to grin and bear it! (GROWL!)

I go to work at 11 for 4 hours. It's nice to have a little extra to help with the dentist bills!

Keep warm...

MagiKitty, you have to check out Target's daily deals today. It's all Hello Kitty stuff.

Morning! Cold here too. And it's just reinforcing my decision to hit Fl at this time next year.

M&N, were you reading my post on FB about Jackie and that's why you posted about the discipline stuff? She needs a big wake up call.

Well, got some kinda bad news this morning. I guess it depends on how you look at it. Curt is getting demoted at work. He will have to take a small pay cut, going back to what he was making before his last raise. But he still gets to keep a company truck. But he won't have to do any paperwork, go out on rain days to check on the job, not have to listen to the boss ***** if something isn't perfect.

I'm thinking of it as a blessing in disguise. He'll still have to go out of town if the job calls for it but once he's there, he can just do the work and not worry about anything. Plus, when he is working local, he can just come home and spend time with the kids. He hardly ever gets to do that because there always something for work that has to be done at night.

Morning all:

Finally caught up...been AWOL for a few days.

Love the pics of Walter...too cute!!

Sounds like you need a drink. Or, maybe been drinking too much??:rotfl2:

And its not Dec. 15th........DEC. 17th!!! The day Kerrie is going to have her baby. :thumbsup2

OK I had 4 babies due the start of Dec...one came early, two boys born yesterday so only Kerrie could hit my and MK's birthday so she can't possibly wait until the 17th!!

Good morning ladies! Another cold one out there, but the sun is doing its best to not make it seem so miserable.

Kerrie...thanks so much for the headsup! Im not sure what I'm going to buy yet. But that clock is so cute! And I think the humidifier will definitely help with my sinuses.

The banner on my page here says "Tis the Season to Awaken with Bacon". Did you arrange that?

JO--I kind think that Curt's job change will be a blessing also. Yes, the paycut will be a hassle, but the quality of life will be so much better. More time for you and the family, less hassle with the boss. I think its a win-win.

M...I totally agree with that theory of parenting! (but this comes from the one with cats). My SIL is one of those over-parenters....she just takes care of everything for everyone. I suppose it makes her feel better, but it makes the kids lazy and unappreciative. And unprepared for some situations where they have to make decisions on their own and face the consequences. I'm not saying that my kids are terrible, just that they're horribly pampered and I don't know how practical that is for real life.

I wish I had dates to go to Orlando too....but if my mystery shopping keeps up, my vacation fund will be ready when I do have the opportunity!

Ev, don't these babies know how fantastic a December 9 birthday is?

MK, the parenting thing is sometimes it is just easy easier to do it yourself. I'm just talking about normal household chores though. And I've been lax on standing my ground with them just because of that. That's my fault. But it's got to stop. Time for a nice long sit down with Jackie.

I talked to Curt at lunch today and he's feeling better about what is going on at work. I know he was mad this morning when he found out at first, and I do see his point of view, but I do believe in long run, it will be better for us. Heck, even when we went to WI for that short vacation, they were calling him about problems on the jobsite. It has gotten to the point he can't ever get away from work.

JOCAmom Sorry about the demotion but sometimes it's better to let someone else handle all the c**p. ;) We are losing $70/ mo (going towards medical benefits) and (assuming) no COL for the next 2 years. I'm glad we are doing our trips now..might not be able to do as many in a few years.

Now for some Disney questions..after all this is a Disney forum. :surfweb:
Re dining
HDDR- we plan to go to the 7? one as we are not sure when we arrive and have to get our tickets at SOG.
Teppan Edo - because I know DH will eat here (not sure if he will eat at the other one).
Which Italian place - Via Napoli or Tuttio Italia?
DH wants dinner around 6 if possible but I'm thinking if we go earlier we can ride while everyone else is trying to eat dinner. What do you think?

JO---glad to hear that Curt is accepting the new situation. There is a silver lining to everything. As for dealing with kids, if things are becoming difficult from your perspective, just talking about it, letting them see your point of view will be very helpful. Sometimes people just don't know how something affects others.

Kathy, we ate at Tutto Italia. It was very good. A little posh for the likes of us, but the attention by the waiters was outstanding! We had wanted to eat outside, but we had the earliest lunch ressie and the terrace wasn't prepared yet.

I'm not sure what Via Napoli is, must have missed it.

We always get the earliest reservations possible. We've found that the later it goes, the later you'll wait for your actual sit down time. But we're also early eaters. We tend to split something for breakfast and go for a big early lunch and dinner. Then we digest and get dessert later. Too often, with Disney portions, we don't make it to dessert at the table!

I've never done HDDR, but hope to one day!
