Oh, for Pete's sake. Good thing I wasn't planning to renew my DDE card, anyway. With 2 kids under age 9, the passholder + dine package works much better for us.

we bought ours in dtd @ guest services last sat. night for $60! i love this card cause you save a lot with it. last week it probably saved us $60!

I was considering this... seems like a big price increase though. Especially adding a card for $50.

$60 was pushing the envelope, $75, just takes me out of the game! I have not been happy with the menu changes so I gracefully bow out of WDW dining
as a whole.

OK, at least I wasn't crazy and all of us found this new. This one was a surprise to me. I think a 25% increase is a little high. Just think for Fl resident it went from $80 to $100.

I won't have my AP this time until October, and just yesterday decided I would get a new card. But for $75??? Not so sure that's a good idea now.

We will still purchase it as we will use it for 3 maybe 4 trips, not happy with the increase though

While I completely 100% understand everyone's frustration here, I wish I could qualify for TW. Since I'm not an AP or FL resident I can't even begin to touch such and offer. This type of perk would be something I would purchase in a heartbeat if I could.

Is the $75 for new applications? What is the renewal rate?
The reason I am asking is that I renewed my in-laws card in January, they are Florida residents and the price was $80 for new but $70 renewal

I just uploaded the form from the passholder site for giggles and it still says $60 on it (as does the main page before you get to the details). I wonder if this just started, or if the increase is coming in the next week or so and just not updated everywhere yet

We are planning on using it in December but I have the DxDDP in June and was going to get it early just for any extras we might incur (namely cake and wine ;) ) but like a PP said, $60 seemed high before and now $75 makes me reconsider again...

Let's be honest, the value of the card depends on your dining options. If you hit 4 signatures on your trip, one of which is V&A, then it's still worth it. Dinner for two at V&A with wine pairing runs about $400 so the $80 you've saved covers the card. Your other 3 restaurants will be $150 for two (including adult beverages) so that's another $90 saved. Plus other TS meals.

Multiply that by the fact that TiW cardholders usually make multiple trips and I still think you come out well ahead. From my perspective the 20% savings just helps with the fact that Disney restaurants are overpriced by at least 25%.

I was going to purchase this for 2 trips, and we usually do DDP but wanted to use this for Bistro de Paris and extras like appetizers and drinks. I don't think I'd really get my $75 out of it in 2 trips. Also, adding a person for $50 is rediculous. $25 was reasonable but $50? yikes!:scared1:

Ok, I admit I gasped when I read this. A 25% price increase is substantial. Then I took a look at the numbers...

Old Price
DDE/TiW Cost - $60
Break Even Point - $300

New Price
DDE/TiW Cost - $75
Break Even Point - $375

You'll hit your savings point a little faster if you utilize the card for the free valet parking at resorts for your dining. That value is $10 each time you use it.

WOW they doubled the price of the second TIW ticket, I guess I will not be doing that since it is primarily a conveniance.

We never get the second card anyway. Plus, eating at V&A each trip the new card still saves us money.
Just not quite as much---

Still seems like a great deal to me - I wish it was still $60, but as Tricia showed, you still break even for $375. We broke even on ours last year on a 4 day trip with our family of 4, and we don't even do signatures.

Then we have used it for 2 trips since then, with one more to come before it expires. I think it's been a great deal.

I don't know for sure if this is new news but I read on another web site that Tables in Wonderland is going up. Like 15 bucks or so. Ouch.
