I am currently 1/24 with Chase and just got a CIU last month. I never had any Amex MR cards and I saw the Green has a SUB of 60K MR. I read you cannot get a Green if you ever had the Gold or Plat so I am thinking this may be a good card for me. Eventually, I plan to close the Green and move up the ladder. Currently I have 4 Amex cards (Hilton and Marriott) and I guess I should be able to get 1 more Amex (in theory lol). Does anyone have any thoughts on the Green Card?

I can only get the 40k to pop for me on the green card. We would be doing it for the same reason as you to climb up the ladder for my husband with Amex charge cards. His Clear membership will be up for renewal soon and you get clear with the green card, if it didn’t I likely wouldn’t think about the green.

Currently, we have about 10 nights left to plan and I think we need to save min 1-2 nights for London in order to be near Southampton before getting on the ship. Any good shows in the west end in June?

My sisters just went to see Hercules which just opened in the West End a couple months ago. They thoroughly enjoyed it so maybe worth considering.

The green is a charge card (as are the gold and plat) and doesn't count towards the 5 Amex credit card limit. Charge card limit is 10 open, which I've never come remotely close to lol.

I'm eyeing a green card tbh. I would break even from the fees for our DCL trips alone. We should hear back about the Bilt card shortly. They said October. You still have until the end of October if you have that before the CSR peels back the 3x. But 2 DCL cruises should cover that fee. Forgot to add that I get "up to 60k," but then when I go in, it goes down to 45k.

When I was approved (after a very long 10 day wait) they said there was no way to expedite it and that it would arrive in 10 (more) business days. This card took forever to arrive.

From what I understand, Bilt is releasing two pay cards and one complimentary card. The announcement is supposed to be this month. I wouldn't be shocked if the premium card had a travel multiplier, but it's a guess, it could be portal-based like the other refreshes (looking at you, Chase/Citi).
Chase is increasing the 3x travel bonus to 4x at hotels and airlines, as well as offering a multiplier for their portal. The 3x general travel, which is parking/tolls/ubers/cruises, etc, will end on October 25th.

Not sure how I am going to meet all the spends I have now (I always say that, yet...), but I had to try to get one last Chase biz support and the 90k. p2, instant approval with an absurd credit line! This one went to his original Chase profile (for those of you that have followed the weirdness). Both of his Chase profiles currently had 2 open Inks, and now this one has 3. I am glad it wen to this one, because this account let me tranfers his UR's to my account again, without a phone call. For awhile it wouldn't let me.
His newer profile wont' let me move the URs from one card to another in the same login without a call now.

I did something stupid! I was in Mexico over the weekend and paid for a $750 purchase with my CFU (my go to for the 1.5 points if I can't earn more) not even thinking about the FTF! I had multiple other cards in my wallet with no FTF I could have used. I'm assuming there's no way to transfer that purchase to another Chase card? It's still showing pending. I'm probably just going to have to suck it up as a lesson learned.

No there isnt a way or them to do this. Probably a better chance of them waiving the fee as a courtesy.

As for shows on the West End, we just saw The Play That Goes Wrong on our way back home from Scotland on this last trip. We could not stop laughing. Literal tears streaming down my face. Absolutely recommend! We do have tickets to see Come Alive! when we are there in January. I can report back my thoughts.

I looked at Come Alive! and I really want to try to catch this while we are in London. Where is the best place to sit?

I found a matinee on a Friday that was selling seats in the VIP section (Empress) WITHOUT the VIP privileges for 80 pounds per person. It was 4 rows back in D. I wonder if that was a glitch? Because the same row D in the other sections were 112 pounds each.

They giving folks a discount in that section because the VIPs will be drinking and eating around them when they won't be able to?

None of the other showings that weekend, have non-VIP tickets being sold in the Empress section... (ETA: the Wednesday and Thursday evening showings previous to the Friday matinee, also have non-VIP seat tickets in the VIP section - DH thinks that the secondary cast is scheduled for those performances. Is that a thing? Seems like a plausible scenario.)

If this is a good deal, I will snag the tickets and then work my Scotland and London itinerary around it.

ETA: I take that back - there ARE other seats that are sold as NON-VIP in the Empress section sprinkled throughout various showing, just none as good as the D13/14 seats for 80 pounds I found for a particular Fri matinee showing.

Well that's unfortunate. Not the end of the world because I still need to finish a few hundred dollars on an Amex platinum bonus. I just like getting the card quickly just in case.
