TIW card

Any tips to make the TIW card work hard for you? We bought one on our last holiday in Oct/Nov but will return to WDW August. On our last holiday we were on the dining plan, next time we won't be. Any tips appreciated .

I have heard that you have to spend 300 dollars in food to pay for the card.

We've already half paid for it by using it at a few places to get the discount ( mainly alcohol) at the Yachtsman !
