First off....Welcome!

Are you talking about the tag under your name? You can change it to whatever you want but if you're talking about the colored tags, only the Tag Fairy can change those.

The title shows up in bold when it is a thread with now posts since you last logged in. When you open it and read it then it goes to regular type. There is nothing you can do to make a thread title bold.
