Tips to stay at multipble DVC resorts consecutively

Hello all,

I know there is a wealth of information out here as I am a frequent reader, but not a frequent poster. Sometime in the summer of 2008, we are planning our first visit to DVC resorts. We have been memebers since Dec 2005 and have traded to go to San Diego, DLR and Washington DC. We would like to experience our "home" (SSR) and Vero and HH by taking a two week trip. Any suggestions/advice on how to best go abou this? I really appreciate any input. I will sit back a read what you have to say.

If those were my three destinations I would "bookend" a WDW stay at SSR with a beach vacation on either side. I don't know where you are coming from, so I don't know which way to send you. We are in NC, so we would probably drive to Vero Beach and spend several days there, "resting up" for our WDW time. Then we'd drive over to WDW, have a wonderful stay at SSR, and finish our two weeks with some "recovery" tinme at Hilton Head, which would then give us a shorter drive back home.

We are doing the same thing next year. We will depart Boston - drive to Virginia to my sisters, and start a caravan to OKW for a week - 2 - 2 BR, check out and hop to the POLY for a couple of days, then off to HHI 2 - 2 BR for another week and then back home.

We had been thinking of going over to Vero Beach for the weekend in between Disney and HH - but decided to wait until we could stay there longer.

Thanks for the good idea of bookending the trip. We probably would not have thought of that.

I was also really hoping for some help with a strategy about getting three resorts in a row when only one is our home resort. You know, the 11 month window vs the 7 month and all. I suppose SSR will be the easiest but I am not sure about the others at only 7 months.
