our 7th month window opens soon and were trying to figure out where to switch our home is the poly
Ive been reading alot about the boardwalk which sounds like fun

but from what Im reading they really dont have a QS with indoor eating--theBakery sounds just like what wed like

but I read that it has just outdoor eating--which sounds nice if the weather is nice but how comfortable is it when its really hot or chilly

we go I in Jan so Im sure very hot wont be a problem but even if its a bit hot or cold its not going to be very comfortable eating out there

also tips and advice on the regualr restrauants also how close is it to the beach club and epoct it sounds nice to be able to walk if possible
any other tips on this resort would be great
thanks

The first week in January is marathon weekend, and BW will be impossible. I'd try to avoid it if I weren't involved in the marathon. The marathon is also pretty much the only time there's no festival, so no food booths. This was a HUGE bummer to me.

But yes, both BW and BC are walking distance from Epcot, which is quite magical. It's even more magical with the Monday late hours.

We love the Boardwalk resorts, but yes, the Boardwalk itself does not have good food options. There is a little place to buy snacks, but not your traditional QS where you get sandwiches, breakfast, etc. We mobile ordered a lot when we were there. However, that involved us walking over to YC or BC or picking up a meal from Trattoria al Forno. The bakery is nice though!

The access to 2 parks is amazing, so I would just put that in your calculations. Like the pp states, marathon times will be very hard to snag at 7 months, but you never know!

Trattoria al Forno is on the BW side not the YC/BC. It's right next to the Fly Fish. You also have Big River Grill & Brew Works and the bakery which takes the place of the quick serve you have at YC/BC. Across the lake at the YC you have Ale and Compass as well as the store that has quick service similar to the bakery on BW side of lake. The BC has Beaches and Cream and the Cape May Clam Bake along with quick serve in the store there.

Swan and Dolphin both have several restaurants, I'm not familiar with them since we never go there. Seems there are quite a few options.

IF you can manage to snag a 1 bdrm, you’ll at least have the ability to make or reheat quick meals if that helps. If you’re strictly no cooking or can only do a studio, Just know going in that the QS food options at the BW are not as good as Poly. Big River is a wonderful option though. Price wise, it’s pretty comparable to other QS burgers but better imo and they have lots of drink options. A lot of ppl just go into Epcot WS for food but, having a solid QS at the resort is a big priority for some ppl. If it is for you, the Epcot resorts options don’t compare at all to the food courts or monorail resort QS.

Going to Epcot for food used to be doable, but with park reservation system that can mess up plans, unless you have no need to go to another park prior to 2 pm.
