Hi all. Thanks in advance. We are (fingers crossed) heading down the last week of February. We will be staying at the Hard Rock. We are looking for some suggestions for breakfasts and lunches. Starting to realize we will be paying alot of money on food this trip so trying to think of any way to save. Does anyone have any tips or tricks for cheaper breakfasts and lunches? Are grocery deliveries still allowed at the hotels? Any suggestions at all welcome. Thanks again all.

The all you can eat breakfast buffet at The Kitchen at HRH is fantastic and good value for money. It's a great start to the day before hitting the parks. It was $25 per person when we went Dec 2019 but not sure if the price has gone up or not. There is a huge choice of foods too, we loved it.

Good to know. Thanks much.

What kind of breakfasts? The Big Pink donut is rather shareable & cost effective. For cheaper, bring some cereal /granola bars / portrays/ etc to eat in the room or on the way to the parks. Then when you eat them, it empties bag space for souvenirs!

Red Oven in City Walk has very tasty pizza, and because pizza is shareable that makes it one of the cheapest places. Many sit-down restaurants have sandwiches / burgers for about the price of the quick service places. The BBQ plates are pretty big & could be split, maybe with an extra side.

Every trip we mobile order Voodoo doughnuts from Citiwalk on the way back to our resort and then eat them the next morning for breakfast. Not every breakfast, but for some breakfasts. They have many doughnuts under $2 but of course my favorites are around the $3.50 range. 🤪

At restaurants we feel like most portions are big so sharing meals may be an option for you which also saves money. My teen daughter and I share almost every meal when we visit.

Also, in Studios there’s a food stand that sells “jacket potatoes” aka baked potatoes. They are huge and filling and I believe around $10 each. Our favorites are the loaded potato and the shepherds pie potato.

We shared most restaurant meals because of the large portion sizes. There’s nothing to do with leftovers so they aren’t advantageous.
granola bars from home for breakfast.

Walmart delivers for free over $35. I use them for sun screen, soda, creamer and a few snacks. You choose the delivery time frame and meet them out front of the lobby. You will get text updates so you know about when they will arrive.
the last time I used them, though, the order was messed up and I had to place a second order.

We usually order groceries to the hotel. Among the water and snacks, we al so get some fruit, yogurt, bagels, etc for breakfast and just eat on the way to the parks. It saves a ton of money, and more importantly, time. Lunch and dinner is in the parks. A lot of meals are huge and can be split easil, especially if you add on a side salad.

What grocery service do you use? thanks

Usually Instacart! If you do a google search for grocery stores that deliver to Universal Studios hotels, it will bring up a lot of different options such as Publix, Walmart, etc.
