tips for the maid

Do most people tip just the last day of the vacation or do you tip everyday? Not sure wish way is better.

Tip everyday, because you may or may not have the same Mousekeeper for the whole trip...

Everyday. Then the mousekeeper gets to feel she is getting to know you. When we were checking out on our last day the Mousekeeper came to our room and asked if we needed anything before we left. I wasn't sure if she was just being nice or if this was hoping for a bigger tip for the last day? I think that it is just when you are taking care of people she just wanted to see what the heck we look like. Who knows but I usually tip each day because the person who is doing the work should get the tip. Our room was always clean and tidy and the bathroom was immaculate. My friend who I was traveling with loses tons of hair everytime she washes it so that was no easy task.

We always tip every day. The maids almost always arrange our kids toys in a fun way in the windows or on the beds. Our friends that we travel with wer firm belivers in tipping at the end of the stay, and, oddly enough, did not get the same treatment with their kids toys. Their next stay, they tipped daily and got the full treatment.

My Mom and I tipped every day on our first trip, plus a piece of candy. On the last day the mousekeeper gave us each a Lady and the Tramp frame.
