Hi,
I just returned from my first Disney Cruise on the Magic. Sailed May 4th - 11th. Had a great time, but wanted to give some tips to first time cruisers and was hoping that some veteran cruisers could add stuff that I forget.
1. Castaway Cay - definitely wear water shoes or something that protects your feet. The sand has a lot of shells in it and it really hurts when walking. If you have sandals on, the sand & shells get inbetween your feet and shoes and it hurts a lot!!!! I was in such pain walking on the beach I really wish I had a pair of those aqua shoes!!!
2. Palo - I didn't want to eat there, but my friend's sister-in-law waited and when she did try to make reservations, they were booked. She did get on the waiting list, but they left a message about an hour before the reservations were available and she never received it. So, like the boards stated all along, book your Palo's reservations as soon as you can!!
3. Spa - Definitely spend time at the Spa!! I highly recommend the LT Oxygen facial - it was awesome!!!!!!!!!!
4. Take the Personal Navigators that they leave in your room for the next day - keep it handy as you can plan your day by it as well as where you need to go!!
5. The most important tip!! - Enjoy your trip! It was a great time and I can't wait to travel on the Disney Cruise again!!
I hope some of my tips help!! I'm sure there are a bunch of other tips that people can add on that I left out.
