If anyone has any tips or tricks for how to get the best price on a car rental, please share!

I use Costco. I love their travel site. You just put in your info and they automaticaly apply any discounts. They compare four or five of the major rental companies. I check back every few days to see if the price has gone down. The best price I found for an upcoming trip was over $500.00. Using Costco Travel I have it down to $182.00 including all taxes and fees!

Priceline. Use the bidding option. I've used it often for cars and have paid as little as $10 a day for a mid-size.

There has been alot of discussion on the disboards about Dollar Car rental.
Go to their website put in Orlando and your dates. no codes needed. Hit the Go button and when it comes up with pricing results there is an option to click on "city specials" for Orlando. I believe its mid to full size and the rates are very cheap right now.
I have looked several times a day for many weeks. I finally booked with a code from the transportation boards here thru Alamo. We will be there for 11 nights 5/22 to 6/2. My total rate for a full size car was $215 (including all taxes).
I have done the Priceline route as well but so far Dollar and Alamo have had much better rates.
