Tips and Tricks for a Disney Newbie?

He told me the EE and the Toontown thing was worth $150.00, and so that gave the package more value..

That's very interesting. Those items (EE and MTTM) are free to anyone who books through AAA and buys a hopper of 3 days or more.

The difference between 2 day and 3 day hoppers per adult is $37, so if you bought four tickets, $37 x 4 = $148. I guess that's where he came up with the $150 difference.

Although with a third day, you get those perks PLUS a third day in the park, so the $150 isn't really just for the EE and MTTM.

Anyway, it sounds like a great deal. Can't wait to hear the results.

Wishing you pixie dust that it all works out! :wizard:

Hmmm...

Okay, I paid 891.03.

I am arriving at the Hotel on the 23rd, and checking out the 26th. Three nights, which I found on their site at 119.00 per night, plus tax, which came to 421.00.

The two day park hopper passes, for four, I found elsewhere at 116.00 each, so that is 464.00.

So, that came to 881.00 without using AAA.

I paid 891.00 through AAA.

I questioned him, because I thought that booking through AAA would get me a discount. I explained that I could find it cheaper than he was quoting me, and he started telling me I would get coins and lanyards and stuff, which I said I didn't care about. That's when he gave me the $150.00 value figure for the EE. He read off everything I would get, and I took notes. "First showing of Crush, 1 hour into Fantasyland, mickeys Toontown Morning Madness, collectible pins, free parking"

Now, if he got confused and charged me for a 3 day pass that's a problem too, as we can't spend more than two days. Maybe that happened as there doesn't seem to be any kind of discount on the rooms or tickets.

But, I did question him several times and he assured me I'd get the EE. I hope that AAA, if they made an error, back up their customer and makes good.

I'd pay an extra $10 for four EE tickets!

Please let us know how it works out!

I'm wondering if he gave us them from this promotion:

http://www.themeparks.com/dland/early.htm

I don't exactly quality for either of them, but the do give out EEs for some two day park hoppers. Maybe AAA can give them out as they see fit.

Anyway, when the tickets arrive I'll update the thread.

Bumping for quite a few links that folks are looking for.

The HOJO's is about a 10-15 walk from the DLR gates, so your walk will be a bit more than that. I'm guessing it will take 20 minutes to and from the gates.

You can see if it is on the ART bus transportation system. There is a fee for it, you could avoid the walk that way.

We stayed at the Stardust last April and we were counting on the ART bus, but they discontinued that route because of some crazy driver. We tried to walk the first day, but with the little ones, it was too far, especially when we had to go back for naps.

If you find that the walk is too much, I recommend going to the parking garage and using the shuttle. It cost $11 for parking, but the shuttle was free. And you can come and go as you like...
