Why wouldn't you tip a lot of people daily? Why don't you tip the college graduate who makes $10/hr teaching and caring for your preschool child with autism (including changing diapers, cleaning up vomit when he is sick, etc.)? The reason is that you are already paying for their salary by paying for your child to go to preschool or paying for your hotel room. Disney says it is not a tipped position. Housekeepers have free will to work for what the wage is or not. Sure it is nice to leave a tip, but not required and no one should have to feel bad if they don't tip. For the record, I usually do leave a few bucks, but I understand not handing dollar bills to everyone who performs a service for you.
