Tipping with dining plan

Hi

can anyone tell me if you can put tips onto your room account? We had the dining plan this year where it was included, but as its not this year i dont really want to be carrying money around the parks with me. So can we charge that to our room rather than paying with cash?

It is an interesting question when you think about it. I am sure it's possible to charge it to your room but it's a very overt way of leaving a tip which a lot of people don't like to do.

Personally I would chose to carry the cash rather than call the waitress over and ask for them to ring up $xx.xx as a tip. What if you thought the service was a bit lousy so you didn't want to leave the full amount?? it might turn out to be quite an embarrasing situation

As next year its a gratuity and has to be paid,if you want to leave less you have to call over a manager to adust it.Disney have phoned me about my concerns about next years ddp,they have sated it might change on what people tell them ie not enougth take it up and a lot of complaints about tip and app removed
