Tipping Mousekeeping?

I don't usually tip for T&T as I take the trash out myself and nearly every time we've been there she comes so early that I answer the door traid towels with her and get more coffee if she offers. I leave anywhere from $5 - $20 (depending on the size unit) on the kitchen counter when I check out.

It just wouldn't seem right to me not to leave something. Unless I receive rude treatment or something I will continue to tip (maybe $20 a week for a studio). My wife and I do not consider ourselves wealthy, but according to what I've heard, a "six-figure income" (combined) puts you in the top 5% of family incomes. Although we both work hard for our pay, we feel very fortunate. When I think about what $20 is to me compared to what it is to others I feel obligated.

We tip $20.00 for a 5 night stay. It might make a difference to someone who earns very little. Just good karma IMHO.

This is an interesting discussion. We keep our villa clean and tidy while we are there, but we don't clean anything on the day we leave...We do leave a tip...about $3-5 a day. We certainly are not rich, but the tip doesn't make or break my vacation, and I want to express my appreciation. I am usually the most generous with the folks that are at the lowest end of the wage scale...it just seems like the right thing (for me) to do.
