tipping etiquette in France?

I would like to know what the craic is regarding tips for private shuttles/DLH staff etc?? I don't want to look like an eejit. So If anyone can tell me who and how much to tip that would be great. thanks!

I always leave a few euros every day for mousekeeping in a marked envelope, other wise they won't take it - I could never remake the bed they way they do and I think it's very much appreciated, judging by the amount of toiletries and chocolate coins we accumulate.
In the restaurants I don't follow a strict rule, in Blue Lagoon Cafe Mickey and Lucky Nugget our CM waiting staff were superb and we tipped around 10% rounded up to the nearest round figure. In Auberge our waitress was extremely miserable and we rounded up only. I always thinking tipping should reflect the customer care that's been shown to you.

In France your restaurant bill already includes 15% service, and it is normal to round up.

Generally the french do not tip as many cm's have found at WDW

We always give five euro`s. Restaurants,housekeeping ,bell boy,the suitcase man,works real wonders.

We save up our change at the end of each day andd give it to the maid on our last day.

In restaurants, our tip amount will depend on the service .

Just wright on a piece of paper : For the ladies from housekeeping and put the money on top of it.
Than they know its for them.

A couple of euro's on the table after paying the bill seemed to be the way to go. Same for housekeeping, couple of euro's left in an envelope with "housekeeping" on it did the trick.
