timing for Wine Country Trattoria dinner - not WOC seating

We would like to have a table service meal in DCA one night before seeing WOC for the first time. But the fixed prices of the WOC meals are out of our budget.

So I made a reservation at Wine Country Trattoria for a non-WOC dinner (just ordering off the regular dinner menu). I made reservations for 6:30 p.m. and the WOC show starts at 8:15 that night (Thursday 9/20). Will this give us enough time to eat and get over to WOC and get an OK view? We are a party of 7, including 3 kids and are not interested in waiting 1+ hours for a spot. But we will get fastpasses that morning.

We'll be there on the 11th for a 6:20 reservation. I was told that it was way too late. We are a party of 2 adults and 3 little ones. So we will probably skip WOC....but then again you never know....so depending on how long we take we'll make that final decision.
