Timeshare occupancy limits?

A 1BR timeshare is usually bigger than a hotel room, right?

Just how enforced, in general, are occupancy limits? If we have our littlest DD in a sleeping bag, bringing total in room to 5, would anyone really know or care? Has anyone ever had any trouble? We're not planning on using timeshare amenities such as pool, etc. Just need a cost effective place for us to sleep and cook meals.

oops - I meant to post on the other board! Should I repost there, or could someone please move this?

depends upon the resort.

the Marriott have a king bed and queen sleeper sofa - plenty of room.

CWR (Spicey can stay here :cool1: ) is much, much smaller - only have a double bed and a full sleeper sofa.

so it depends upon the resort.

Thanks spiceycat. I'm sure there'd be room, I just wonder about enforcement of occupancy code limits.

I just posted this question on the hotels board. Sorry I wasn't more careful about placement of the first post

All the 1 bedroom timeshares we've used, non-DVC, off Disney property, have been very big and should easily sleep 6-8 comfortably (even if they say 4/2). you probably won't need a sleeping bag. They've always been very friendly and helpful. Nobody really checks anything, so you can use anything the timeshare has to offer without worrying about anything.
Good Luck,
Joe

Are we talking about DVC here??? :confused3 Joe seems a little confused with this. A one bedroom DVC sleeps 4 people. That is 2 people in the master king bed and 2 people on the pull out queen sofa. The only exception to this is a 5th is allowed if they are an infant sleeping in a pack n play. You are not suggesting that people just pile in extra people are you? I didn't think so. Sorry for Joe's confusion with this. If you guys are talking other timeshares then I apologize.

I'm still here! :lmao: :rotfl2:
