Timeline for purchasing direct

Hi, my husband and I just purchased 120 points through Disney, we are financing. What is the timeline and do they send you anything/updates on the progress? I just want them to be like "good to go for now". Silence is killing me. Thanks!

You should be "good to go" immediately. They let you use your points as soon as you sign everything.

Things may be different now but a couple of years ago our points were loaded and available the next day.

Our points were available the next day. We just signed up a few weeks ago.

I just bought a small contract direct at the end of June on a Sunday. By Tuesday, I was scoping the DVC site and making my first reservations. As long as you signed all the purchase paperwork while you were at the office, you should have gotten your member number before leaving and an email with your code to register for the DVC site.

They have been very slow this year. I added on 40 VGF points in February and they messed up several times. I think it took 3 weeks for them to be in my account and about 10 to close. They forgot to process my first request, then they lost my credit card number. When they sent me the paperwork they forgot some forms and had to resend but we were away on holiday and they didn't let us know they were resending. Even my guide said I can't wait to close this one as it has been so long. They said it was because they were busy with the Poly but when I looked at the Poly sales for that month I didn't see it.

Personally I wouldn't sit and wait I would call regularly for updates.
