Yes, I'm really glad for the rain. We can always use it. We really needed and planned to do yardwork today and work on re-staining our fence, but too bad. Now we can't, so we'll just have to find something to do like go shopping or out to eat or to the movies .

We went to the Wildflower festival (it's music and not really for wildflowers) in Richardson last night. Guess we should have done yardwork, but DH can't pass up a David Wilcox concert and he was only playing last night.

Seriously, though, without googling it I'm guessing that it is ice thick enough to skate on or fish through. Even though I have heard the term and have a vague idea what it is, "ice shelf" is one of those phrases that I don't really know the precise definition of .
