Time to DOUBLE up!! 2 for 1 Pre-TR!!!!!!! TRIP REPORT HAS STARTED!!!!!!!

So, are you going to pull the trigger on the cake? Time's gettn' on.

I don't LOVE the paper thing either. Could you ask for a Cindy doll or something more substantial, or even buy one yourselves, and have the server put it on just before she serves it?

I'm in the process of talking my self into that cake. :lmao:

I think I'm gonna call tomorrow and see if I can talk to someone. Maybe they could give me an idea of something I can put on there. Geez I need to come up with flavors and frosting and fillings.... OH MY!

I was up half the night with Juliana.. she has a stomach bug. She vomited 3 times this morning too. Mel called out of work today. I feel so bad for her. She is just parked on the couch watching a movie right now. I hope the vomiting is finally done. :sad2:

Oh Gosh, me too! Poor thing! My 14 year old is pretty sick too; she's had a 103 fever for 3 days. Hopefully tomorrow it will lift and she can start to feel better. but I'd take a fever and a 14 year old over a little one and vomit. Otherwise, there'd be 2 people to clean up after. I do NOT do puke very well. :guilty:

oh, I hope she feels better!!! Yes- we ate at Kona for breakfast and the food was good. We had eaten there before and it was better before... I feel like "Negative Nancy" but on this trip (as you can tell in my new trip report...) I seem to be complaining a lot and that stinks because i love Disney and things like dirty hotel rooms at $500.00 per night and poor service when your breakfast meal costs over $60.00 just seems to ruin things for me!!!! My very favorite meal was the Wave this trip! Our server, Jackson was AWESOME and food was SO GOOD! I thought better than Narcoosees or Cali Grill and the Wave was only 1 TS point!!

Poor Ana! :( DS has a little stomach bug as well and vomited his breakfast all over my new couch and loveseat this morning.

I usually can't do vomit either... but I've managed through this. She hasn't vomited since 11ish this morning, so I think she is on the road to recovery.

I didn't realize you started your TR. I subbed and will check it out this evening. I gotta run out now.

Oh boy. So Sorry. I hope he is feeling better. I can't figure out where she got this from.... it could of been the hospital on Monday I guess. :confused3

Juliana is doing better. She ate a little dinner and has been drinking gatorade... I think we have to keep her home from school again tomorrow. They were going to have a 'teddy bear' party tomorrow. She is going to be disappointed. She has only been to school once this month because of sickness.

I copied this from a Maroo post. I'm not sure if any of you have heard any info on this.

AFTER JUNE (and how long??? No one knows yet)...
Wishes is being replaced by another fireworks show - that is supposed to be bigger and better?

Spectro is being replaced with the OLD Main Street Electrical Parade...Frankly...I have no trips planned for this summer...and if I have to, I will possibly plan a weekend to get down there to see this! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that old parade!

Have any of you heard anything about this? I really hope they don't get rid of Wishes....

Heard about the Main St Electrical Parade returning, but it sounds temporary, just for summer. Hadn't heard about the fireworks though.

That cake is awesome! I love the marbling in the fondant. If you remember Cinderella made her own dress with the mice's help before her steps tore it to pieces. That dress was pink. But having Cindy in blue would not look bad either. Maybe they could do the cake in white with blue marbling? Or any other color she likes? I liked the strawberries and custard as described in the original post. :confused3

I found a link (from Robo) that tells about the parade & the fireworks.

Thanks for the cake ideas. I think I'm going to call about a pink marble fondant and see if they have any ideas about adding Cinderella to the cake that isn't that thin cracker. :rotfl:

I heard about that too. It sounds temporary. I am hoping that Spectro makes it back though. I LOVE that parade.
Anyone know where I can find a soundtrack with Spectro music?

Personally, I hope MSEP stays until at least my trip!!! I grew up with this one, and would be moved (literally) to tears if I could see it just one more time. Twould be the cherry on top of my trip!!

Glad to hear that she is doing better! That stinks that she is missing her class party. :( Dakoda actually doesn't have a stomach bug like I thought. We ended up having to take him to the Children's Hospital ER last night and he has RSV.

I read that article yesterday. I hope they don't get rid of Wishes for good. Maybe it will just be a temporary thing? :confused3 Hope so.

I found this website that has the parade and you can listen to the music. I think it is the old version of the parade though.

I don't care if Spectro gets changed or is gone. But if they take away Wishes I will be soooooo disappointed.:sad2:

Oh WOW! I hope everything is ok and he gets better quickly! Those late night visits to the hospital are never fun.... ummm let me rephrase that- no kids ER visits are fun.:sad2:

They can change Wishes from April till November for all I care. I really want to be able to see it while we are there. Unless they change it just a little IE make it longer, add more parts, but take none out!

I canceled Akershus for lunch on Saturday 3/13 and canceled Kona breakfast on 3/10.

I started thinking about that cake. I think I have to keep searching. Juliana's favorite part of cake is the frosting and with fondant there isn't really a frosting. I actually have up until 48 hours before I need the cake to order, although I think I will feel better if I have it ordered before we leave on 3/3.

Is anyone else have problem with the boards today? If I click anywhere on the screen a Dreams Unlimited ad pops up. Maybe my computer is just going nutz?:confused3

Sorry about the sickies:sick:
Hope you still get to eat where you want to at least some of the time.
I agree about the cake-the frostiing is the best part!!

don't order until you find what you really want. If you're going to spend that kind of dough, get what will make you (and Ana) happy! You're right, fondant isn't frosting! She may be disappointed.

We did keep her home from school today but she is 100% back to her normal self.

I'm fine with the cancelations. We will have some great meals, I'm sure, but we are just going to be eating offsite more than in the past.

Cake hunt 2010 is back on!!! :lmao::lmao:

The fondant looks great. I think she would like 'real' frosting better. And just when I thought I was getting somewhere with the cake search. :sad2:

Glad she's feeling better!!

I like the fondant because of its crisp, "clean" look. But kids just want gobs and globs of sugar. Ah well, I'm sure whatever you end up with, it'll be a nice surprise for her, and she'll love it.

First, most important:

:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:
Yeah for good scans and for Juliana being such a big girl!! :thumbsup2 YAHOO!
Just wonderful! :lovestruc

Lots of sick kids again, huh? I've been a little MIA as my son has strep. Strangely, he has not had a fever and wasn't complaining too much (he's tough I tell ya!) but call it "intuition" and my hunch was right even though he's never had it before. Like Juliana missing her Teddy Bear Party, he missed his Valentines Day party at school Friday (we found out Thurs night) so I arranged to go to the school and at least get his box full of cards. Is she better now? I sure hope so - stomach bugs are the worst, I think!

I was going to say I loved the idea for the cake, then you had doubts and I agree about the fondant issue when you mentioned it! So, back to the drawing board - it's getting tight, isn't it? :)

I'm glad you got some snow to play in. We again got snow last night and this is by far the "worst" winter for us here.

Have a great happy hearts day with your family! :)

Heather

Thaks for the link! Claire and I just watched it and she wants to watch it again. I think it's the current version. It looked like all was there. I did get your PM, thanks. I jsut have been busy reading a few TR's and haven;t responded much. If you do find a version, I would love a copy. If not, I'll live though. LOL!

I am NOW hoping DH will go in Dec. We mentioned it to him and he said maybe. He also said it depends on how his hip is healing up. He's still having troubles and needs to see another Dr now. He may have a groin hernia as well. It just never seems to get better for him.
Claire is almost to the point of asking him daily when can we go, and he told her in about a year...so lets hope we can cut that to December and go for Claire's b-day! LOL! :rolleyes1
I agree about the frosting being kids favorite part. Fondant is pretty, but what kid doesn't like a cake full of thick frosting. Actually Claire doen't usually even eat the cake, she goes for the frosting and I finish off her cake peice. LOL!
