That is crazy. I never knew there was a program for this. I hope she does get her money someday. How is it funded? I imagine that it would be very pricey.

I can't wait to visit NYC. What time of year is the best time for a first visit?

Was the movie worth going to see in the theatre?

Actually this time of year is great. The hustle and bustle of people shopping and all the decorations make it really fun. Go down early, catch a show, and have a nice dinner- it makes for a great day!

I think seeing it the theatre was good. There are a few funny spots that had everyone laughing. One down side is some (the lightning bug- forgot his name) of the accents were hard to understand, so I wouldn't of minded a little rewind to see what they said.

Plus I think I have a problem with my countdown banner. I think MY Number one is off. I might of missed my double digit dance!!!!!! We leave March 3 to goto Bradenton and then March 6 to meet up at the house we rented. Going to the park for the first time on the 7th. If I calculate to March 3 it is only 91 days!!!! I don't know why it says 101???????

Here are the pictures from our day yesterday in NYC. It was both Melody's and my mom, Mel, Juliana, and me. We left about 8:30 and were parked in a garage on 48th St. at 10:15.. Not too bad. We didn't have that much time to sight see because the show was starting at 1 and on the paperwork they suggest arriving at the theatre an hour before. First on our agenda- to see the tree in Rockefeller Center.

The tree lighting is actually tonight. We missed it by one day. (Thank goodness!)

Next we went to the Disney store on 55th St.

These are Christmas trees dressed up in Mickey ornaments when you walk in.

We grabbed a quick lunch and headed over to the theatre on 54th St. The only pictures I have are of the outside. We had to check our cameras on the way in.

The movie was great! We really enjoyed it. Juliana sat and was attentive the whole time. There were a few parts I thought she could be scared, but she did fine. My mom mentioned that the music sounded like the music from Aladdin. I have to agree with her.

We left the theatre and headed directly to the Disney Experience which was only 2 blocks way at the Roseland Ballroom. All the princesses were there in their own areas.

The paperwork stated that we would have to check in cell phones too but they didn't ask for them. I debated taking a few pics with it but I didn't want to get kicked out of the theatre. LOL

It ended up being in the upper 40's so it wasn't too bad. Earlier on in the day there was a breeze but it died down later in the day.

Mel bought a few things but nothing crazy. Our mom's bought some stuff too.

She loved Cinderella, Tiana, Ariel, and Snow White. Cinderella will always be her favorite..... we think.

That looks like such a neat time! And I love Mel's coat I have a thing about white coats, but around here, with how much snow we get, they're so impractical. I have a nice long one that I wear for special occasions and I'd love to have a short one like that, but I'd get it dirty so quickly Sad day. But I just love them. And if she's still lurking, I just thought I'd let her know

The weather was perfect. You couldn't ask for anything nicer. (I think 70 in NYC on December 1st is pushing it! LOLOL) I'll be getting to those pics now.

I took those pics at the beginning and at the end. The Ariel line was the longest and we waited 7-10 minutes for it. After a while people were leaving and the princesses were looking for someone to talk with.

There was a lot going on in Rockefeller Center. They were setting up for the tree lighting tonight and there were cables, cameras, lights, etc all over. They really know how to put on a show down there.

The Disney store is really big and it is three floors too. We didn't even make it upstairs because of time constraints.

The movie was cute. I think Juliana really enjoyed it. We bought her a Princess & the Frog story book at the Disney store and I already have read it to her today.

In the Roseland Ballroom there were a few different areas set up. They had an area with games, an arts & craft area, learn how to draw with a Disney Animator area, a play area, and the princess area. They also had some Disney memorabilia from shows and movies. We were one of the first people to arrive at the ballroom. We walked over to Tiana to meet her for the first time.

We went to see Jasmine next.

This was the actual dress Keira Knightley wore as Elizabeth Swan in Priates of the Caribbean.

The snow White line was one of the longest along with Ariel. Melody & Juliana waiting.

This was Belle's dress from Beauty and the Beast on Broadway.

After a while the lines to se the princesses were short 1-2 kids or non-existent. While Juliana was making a crown at the craft area, Mel's mom and I went to get a picture with Cinderella.

I thought this was cool. The jar of sand from Pirates of the Caribbean.

We were about to leave and there was no line to see Tiana, we thought it would be cool to get another picture with her.

We left the Experience and walked towards Times Square. There was a Hershey's store that was calling our name. LOL

What's a 5 pound chocolate bar look like you ask?

How about the biggest bottle of Hershey's syrup? (it was a bank)

We headed over to Toys R Us. It is 3 floors with a ferris wheel inside it. I rode with Juliana and my mom. We got the Little Tikes car.

After Toys R Us we headed over to dinner in Times Square. We ate at a family style restaurant called Carmine's. We ordered salad, penne alla vodka, and chicken marsala. We have eaten here a few times and the food is always excellent. Sorry no pictures of dinner. LOL

After dinner, we headed over to the M&M store. I didn't know there was such a market for M&M's but you can buy candy, clothes, electronics, kitchen ware, and more here. Juliana wanted to make her own bag of M&M's so we let her do her thing.

After the M&M store we headed over to get our car. We made it home at 9:45pm. Not too bad.

Well, this was my quick report. We really had a fun day in New York and we were exhausted when we got home.

I don't think I would of came to Milwaukee to see the premiere. Do you guys drink Old Milwaukee there?

I give these girls a lot of credit for what they have to wear and what they have to do. Each one talked to Juliana like she was the most important person in the world. They were so sweet with her. Jasmine could of had a little more to her but she was really pretty.
