Time to DOUBLE up!! 2 for 1 Pre-TR!!!!!!! TRIP REPORT HAS STARTED!!!!!!!

My Q & A lasted about 2 questions. So here is another question for you all.

What is your favorite unknown fact, tip, or secret about MK?

Mine is on Aladdin's Carpet ride. When you are on the ride the camel likes to 'spit' at you. You have to make sure you are not all the way up or the 'spit' will go below you. You have to be about 3/4 of the way up. In a related tip.... if you are walking up to the Aladdin Carpet ride from the 'Hub' there is a camel that likes to spit right onto the walkway. It is always fun to get your unsuspecting family member, in my case my DW, hit with the water! ;)

Golly Gee (did I just say that?) there are so many!! Hidden Mickeys are at the top of my list. Jul will love this!!! Make it a game and see how many she can find.

The shutters in Lib. Square hang crooked because during the war they used the metal hinges for making bullets and replaced them with leather, which stretched over time, making the shutter sag. Cool, huh?

They give out free fudge samples in the Confectionary on MS sometimes.

I already gave my one about getting Juliana to be the guest conductor.

Oh yes!!!! YOu can see Tinkerbell in the shop in the castle (right behind) in a set of drawers. Look in the keyhole in the top drawer. Every minute or so, she lights up.

How's that?

Dude! This in on PAGE 4??!! :scared1:

We can't be having that now, can we? Here's a friendly little bump for the morning crowd.

My favorite little known fact at the MK is Mr Toad in the Pet Cemetary. Idk why I dig that so much, but now that I know he's there, I always check him out!!

Oh, and everyone tells you to go to the left on Pirates, don't listen. Watch as people are going up and in. If everyone is going to the left, you go to the right. If everyone is going to the right, you break and go to the right. It's hardly ever that people split 50/50. So I don't listen to the "always go to the left" philosophy. I listen to the "people are sheep, don't be a sheep" philosophy! But I think that's more of a tip than a little known fact...my bad.

Oooo, orrr Corn Dog Nuggets. I know, shush. But seriously, most people don't realize how good these things are. Go people, eat. Enjoy. Calories don't count in Disney World (coincidentally, another little know fact.)

GREAT NEWS~the BEST!

Thank you!:flower3:

I never knew about the shutters... leave it to you to find the military aspect! LOL (j/k)

I will NOT tell my DW about free fudge. I'll be spending my whole MK day on MS!

I also remember hearing about Tinkerbell.... What store is it in?

OK here is a bad DISer question. Where is the pet cemetery?

I hope to use that pirates tip. Hopefully I can get Juliana on it this time.

I agree about the calories. Disney has a way of making them not matter. Would you be mad when I told you that I very rarely eat hot dogs. Like almost never..... maybe I could just try one and see what happens?:confused3:confused3 LOL:rotfl:

Corn Dog Nuggets do not equal hot dogs. They're just not on the same page.

And the pet cemetary...as you come out of the Haunted Mansion, on the left the last real themed bit is a gated off area with statues. That's the pet cemetary. Wayyyyy in the back left there's a statue for Mr Toad.

Here's my pictures from our trip in Feb:

She's actually not in the drawer anymore! There's now twinkling lights that zoom by on the walls every once in awhile, which is supposed to be her flying around and then at the cash register, the CM waves a wand and Tink appears on tv behind them. It really is cute!

Maybe I will try the corn dog nuggets. On our MK day we have a Kona breakfast ressie then an early CRT ressie, so we will probably just need a snack to hold us over till dinner.

Oh yes I do remember seeing the pet cemetery, although I don't remember seeing poor Mr. Toad.:guilty:

I'm a couple days behind - sorry! :) My DS started Kindergarten Tuesday and I'm hanging in there! Oh yeah, he's doing fine too!! :rotfl2: Seriously, he loves it! Wait until you guys do this - it's just another momentous step in life.

I LOVE her dance/ballet pictures!! Too stinkin' cute!! :lovestruc She truly is a beautiful princess and your wife is so very pretty!

Now on the 2 year anniversary :cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

Thats good to know.... I can see myself looking around trying to find Tink and people staring at me thinking that I was some kind of weirdo! LOL:lmao:

Tink.. do you know what store this is?

I totally understand!! Juliana starts Pre-K next Friday for 1 hour. Her first 'full' day (9:15-11:45) starts the Monday after. She will be going on Mondays and Fridays. Does your DS go full or 1/2 days? 5 days a week?

Thanks for the comments about my DW. Hopefully Juliana will take after her looks not mine!!! :rotfl2:

My tips, tricks, and unknown facts went over like a ton of bricks.:rotfl::rotfl: So I will get down to business with some serious Disney planning! (maybe)

First off I missed my 1000th post dance. Somehow I'm well over 1000 now. I don't know what I was writing when I hit my 1000th.:confused3:lmao: Anyways I do my own dance for me ;)

Our Plans and TG crowd predictions.
Here is the crowd predictions while we are there. Doesn't look all too bad if these predictions hold. Saturday & Sunday we won't be in the parks, so we have 4 days to fit everything in! On Monday we will be going to MK, Tues relax then MNSSHP, Wednesday DHS, & Thurs AK then driving to MCO to fly home.:sad2:

Date Crowd Level Best Park(s) Worst Park(s)

On Tuesday we have a CM ressie at 9:15am. After breakfast we were thinking of possibly playing mini-golf before heading back to POP for some swimming and relaxing before the party. We are planning on heading to the party at 4 SHARP!!!

Has anyone played mini-golf at Disney? Which course is better- Fantasia Gardens or Winter Summerland? Any and all comments would be appreciated!! ;)

EDIT:: Is there a rule to how many times you can post in a row on your own PTR???? LOLOL

Everyone needs to be danced with on their thousandth post!!! We'll just pretend we all remember what you did on it....

:dance3::jumping1:party::dumbo:

I never used the Dumbo one, so I randomly pushed it. No hidden reference or anything, just think he deserves to be launched once in a while.

Now, onto those plans...

Are you seriously telling us you aren't going to EPCOT!!?? That is just not possible. did I miss something??

Never played mini at WDW. I'm too cheapskate to buy the add-ons. I'm still waffling on PHs. I'm so lame!

I am asconsed and afronted about Tink in the drawer. You mean to tell me they show her on a video screen now?? That is truly one of the saddest things I've ever heard. Can this younger generation seriously NOT have fun without a screen in their face?? Sad!! :sad2:

Wow, great for Juliana for starting Pre-K! My DS went to a Christian Daycare but they had a Pre-k curriculum for 2 years so I knew he was ready. It helped a bunch, that's for sure! He is actually full time, Mon-Fri from 7:45am - 2:25pm! They also don't rest or have nap time. He has been exhausted this week to say the least! :)

I'm excited about crowd levels too - ours are pretty close to yours since we're only a week before you. I think we have 4's and 5's now.

Hope you guys have a good weekend - I'll try and check out the trip report you mentioned too.

We really wanted to fit in MNSSHP. With our experience last year, we wanted Juliana to actually be able to enjoy it. We probably could of went to Epcot on Tuesday morning-afternoon then goto the party. Every time we have been at Disney we go Commando...(sound familiar? :p) So we are going to take it slow on Tuesday before the party.

With our package, we are getting a free round of mini-golf. Then with the AP that I will be upgrading to, we will get BOGO mini-golf. So I'll basically be paying for 1 person, which is $12-$14...i think. So it won't cost me too much $$$$$$

My computer has a screen:surfweb: :rotfl:

Yes, it's called Tinkerbell's Treasures and it's right behind the backside of the Castle. It's just around the corner from Mickey's PhilharMagic!

Would it be weird to walk into parks holding a binder with all my notes in it? You would think by now I should know EVERYTHING about Disney. There are still things I learn every day!:goodvibes

Wow that's early too. The town has a pre-K program that is 5 days a week.:scared1: DW & I thought that would be too much for her. Plus Juliana has never been in daycare or around kids on a daily basis. We kinda kept her away from kids for an entire year when she was on treatment.

:yay: for the 4's and 5's!!!! I really hope it is dead there. I hope MNSSHP is dead too. Last year we went on a Sunday and I thought It was quite busy! If your are going to do a TR when you get back let us all know so we can read all about your trip!!!!!!!

Melody went to NYC yesterday with our friend Jamie. Jamie is going to be on Good Morning America on Labor Day. She has lost over 100 lbs by changing her diet and excersising and they are going to do a story with her. Jamie had to do the voice overs for the story yesterday... So Melody went down with her. GMA picked them up and drove them home too!

While Mel was gone, Juliana & I finished her 30 day countdown calendar. I used the Home Depot Mickey head as a template and cut out 30 Mickey heads. I put on the numbers and then Juliana & I colored the Mickey's.:artist::rainbow: I didn't know what to put under the heads, so we put Disney stickers under them.... mostly princesses. We just used what we had laying around the house. It isn't the prettiest calendar but Juliana helped and we had fun making it. I'll have to take a picture of it to show you.

I do this a lot too, especially before I figured out how to multi quote

Epcot is something I can't wait to do too, but the rest of my family would put it last on our list and so would probably be the first park eliminated form our list too if we didn't get to all four parks :scared1:

I know what you mean, todays youth doesn't appreciate a good imagination, t.v. and computer is what it's all about.

Congrats to your friend.:cool1::cool1:

I know what cutting Mickey heads out is like, I did 100
Can't wait to see pics of your calendar :cloud9::cutie: I'm sure it is adorable.

LOVE the dance pics! Juliana is such a little ham for the camera! :cutie:

WOOHOO for her 2 year anniversary!!! :cheer2::dance3::woohoo::cool1::banana::banana::banana: That is so exciting! How did the party go? (Or have you had it yet?)

I think your WDW plans sound great so far! I don't blame you for taking it easy this time around and stopping to smell the roses, so to speak. :thumbsup2 I want to see a pic of the countdown calendar!! I can't wait till my kids are old enough to do one.

What a fun trip for Mel and her friend!
