Great update Lesley! Tim and Bryan looked like they really enjoyed the sewway tour! I want to try out so bad!!! There is a guy in my neighborhood who has one and I always want to ask him if I can try it!

Hi Everyone! We are out in New Jersey right now staying with Diane and family. We are having a great time and will be here through Thursday. We went to the beach last night, it is SO beautiful, I don't know what I pictured New Jersey to be like, but it is just gorgeous, the kids jumped right into the waves. Today we went to Atlantic City. We lost 20 bucks in the slot machines, had fun walking the boardwalk and the shops, saw the beach, ate at Rainforest Cafe and shopped at the Disney Store (I spoiled Lauren and got her a Princess Tiana dress (hey, it was on sale and I couldn't resist).
Tomorrow we are heading to Carlo's Bakery (from Cake Boss) early in the morning, I have some crumbcakes pre ordered, can't wait! Then we head into New York City for the Day, I CAN'T WAIT, I have never been!!!!
Well, bye for now guys, I'll do an update after we get back from Jersey, sad it's our last vacation of the summer because that means when we get back I only have 2 weeks until school starts.

Glad you are having a great time. Ohhhh Carlo's Bakery thayt place always looks so yummy and I love watching that show. Hope you have a great time in NYC. Hope the Yankees win for Tim and Luke (although I am NOT a Yankees fan...Go Sox!) I also hope you and Lauren have fun at the American Girl store. Enjoy the rest of your trip and looking forward to reading about the rest of your Disney trip and some updates about the trip to NJ.

How exciting!!! He will love it. When are you going in November, we'll be there the 11-14th.

November 23-30. We'll be crazy holiday people twice in a row this year. After November we'll be back for Christmas - Dec. 15-28.

Your whole trip sounds like a great time - but why is it that going to Carlo's makes me the most jealous?? I like me some reality TV. My son went to Adventureland in Iowa this summer with a friend and his family and right near the hotel they stayed at was the builiding that the "American Pickers" work out of. He thought that was pretty cool - except for the whole "no trespassers" thing.....

All caught up and enjoying your TR! I love the dog tag and now have that on my list for our next trip. I unfortunately lost the naming of our Golden Retriever, who I wanted to name Mickey. His name is Max, but as I pointed out to my family that is Goofy's son's name.

Tink (short for Tinker Bell) is our cat's name. Did you see the Cake Boss episode when he was in WDW for the Food and Wine Festival?

BEST!! I just got back from Ocean City, another fun south jersey

So glad to hear you are enjoying your time out this way! We were at the beach (one on Long Island) yesterday and had a BLAST! I have been to the ocean before, but not when it's warm enough to actually enjoy it. Henry had a ball with the waves...and we did too!

I hope to go to Atlantic City sometime, maybe next summer. I look forward to your pics - you are sharing, right?!

Holy crowds!!! Great that Tim loved his tour, looked like fun. Boy that heat can just suck the life right out of you can't it Love those KP missions, kids just love them. Love the Seasons food too, I'll put the butterfinger cheesecake on my list.

Ooh Atlantic City! I was up that way a couple weeks ago. Also went to Wildwood beach along the shore too. The Atlantic ocean is FREEZING right now! SO worth it though, right??

Work kept me away for a while, but I'm all caught up! Great TR!

I had so many things to say - but my brain's on overload from this long day, and now I've forgotten! Most importantly wanted to tell you I was very touched by your blog tribute to Tim. You have a beautiful family - and I mean that in every sense of the word beautiful. You and Tim are best friends, it's obvious to see, and it also shows in how your kids are towards one another and others. A belated congrats to you both on 12 years of marriage! -It's a rare thing, and a blessing. (I'm one of the fortunate ones too - married to my DH/BFF for 28 yrs in June!)

Happy to hear you've enjoyed some great getaways with friends this summer! How fun! -My sis lives in N. NJ and we go into the city when we visit her--saw the Lion King on Broadway...awesome!

I've enjoyed Luke & Lauren's reactions to so many things on your trip! They are adorable kids! Luke is the lucky one getting picked so often...and tell Lauren the braided hair is a great look!

Enjoyed Tim's mini-TR about his Segway Tour. We enjoyed that a couple of years ago, and would love to do it again. Might do it while there in Nov. Reading all of the commentary refreshed my memory about the interesting trivia. I had forgotten about the intentional flaw in the fountain...very cool!

I am finally all caught up on your TR and totally loving it. That is so cool that you got Tim a segway tour!!! That looks like so much fun, I would love to do that someday. My dd (6) wants to try the Kim Possible mission next time we go, I think she would get a total kick out of it too. Your kids are just adorable and I have to say that your little girl always reminds me of that little cutie on the old show "7th Heaven"...I think it is the curly hair. So cute!
