Sounds like you are having an absolute blast with Diane and family! Enjoy New York City tomorrow -- it is so much fun!!!
We had a great time, New York was awesome! Thanks!
OH my....your only north 40 miles from me!!! (I'm in Cape May) Have fun at Carlo's Bakery...and NYC!!!
Thanks, such fun!!
You'll be right down the street from me...I'll keep a look out when I go get my coffee in the morning. Hopefully the line at Carlo's won't be too bad. Enjoy!
It was a bad line, but I'll share our secret in a minute.
Welcome to NJ! So glad you are having a good time and loved the beach. It is beautiful...especially at night!!
Enjoy your day in NYC! My daughter is going to the play, Rock of Ages, on Saturday with my sister and brother-in-law. Each year they treat her to a special weekend and go to a play or something else (for the last several years she has picked a play in NYC).
Enjoy your stay!!
We had a great time in Jersey! How fun for your daughter!
Great update Lesley! Tim and Bryan looked like they really enjoyed the sewway tour! I want to try out so bad!!! There is a guy in my neighborhood who has one and I always want to ask him if I can try it!
Enjoy your time in NJ!!! Gotta love AC! And you are going to LOVE the cakes from Carlos'

Enjoy your mini getaway!
Glad you enjoyed the update, yes, the guys had a great time. Just loved Jersey, such fun!
Glad you are having a great time. Ohhhh Carlo's Bakery thayt place always looks so yummy and I love watching that show. Hope you have a great time in NYC. Hope the Yankees win for Tim and Luke (although I am NOT a Yankees fan...Go Sox!) I also hope you and Lauren have fun at the American Girl store. Enjoy the rest of your trip and looking forward to reading about the rest of your Disney trip and some updates about the trip to NJ.
Carlo's was great, I'll share more on that this morning.
How fun!
Did you guys drive out here? I could have probably waved to you as you drove by on the interstate through PA!
Yes, it was about an 11 hour drive.
Your whole trip sounds like a great time - but why is it that going to Carlo's makes me the most jealous?? I like me some reality TV. My son went to Adventureland in Iowa this summer with a friend and his family and right near the hotel they stayed at was the builiding that the "American Pickers" work out of. He thought that was pretty cool - except for the whole "no trespassers" thing.....
Enjoy your trip - it sounds like a blast!!
It was a great time, Carlo's was actuallly a highlight for us, such fun! LOVE the show American Pickers!
I go back this Wednesday!! See, when I got out earlier than you this summer and you were envious, I told you the tables would turn in August...so now I'm envious that you have more time than me before going back!
So sorry, I need to get in to set up my classroom because I only have 7 working days before my open house but the custodians haven't waxed my hall or room yet so I can't get in, VERY frustrating!
All caught up and enjoying your TR! I love the dog tag and now have that on my list for our next trip. I unfortunately lost the naming of our Golden Retriever, who I wanted to name Mickey. His name is Max, but as I pointed out to my family that is Goofy's son's name.
Tink (short for Tinker Bell) is our cat's name. Did you see the Cake Boss episode when he was in WDW for the Food and Wine Festival?
Glad you are caught up, aren't those dog tags cute. Very cute pet names. Yes, I did see that, I don't think he's returning this year, BUMMER!
Glad your having fun in the good ole Garden State, my home town!
The beach and boards are a lot of fun.....the jersey shore is the
BEST!! I just got back from Ocean City, another fun south jersey
spot, very family oriented. Great diz update too! Your having a summer of FUN, FUN, FUN without a doubt!!!
We had such a great time! The Jersey Shore is GREAT! It was a summer of fun fun fun for sure!
Hope you are enjoying NY/NJ??? Can't wait to read more about your trip
LOVED IT!
So glad to hear you are enjoying your time out this way! We were at the beach (one on Long Island) yesterday and had a BLAST! I have been to the ocean before, but not when it's warm enough to actually enjoy it. Henry had a ball with the waves...and we did too!
I hope to go to Atlantic City sometime, maybe next summer. I look forward to your pics - you are sharing, right?!
We had such a great time, so much to see and do. Yes, I'll share some pics.
Another great update.
Holy crowds!!! Great that Tim loved his tour, looked like fun. Boy that heat can just suck the life right out of you can't it Love those KP missions, kids just love them. Love the Seasons food too, I'll put the butterfinger cheesecake on my list.
I know, the crowds were crazy on some days. The guys had so much fun. Definitely put the butterfinger cheesecake on your list, too funny!
love the first update and going back to read the rest
You will love the cheesecake, so fun. Have fun reading the rest.
It sounds like you all are having a blast. I am actually going to NYC for the first time Thursday. My husband and I are going for our anniversary. We are going to see The Lion King, I can't wait. I hope you all have a great rest of your trip.
We did have a great time. Happy Anniversary, Lion King is AWESOME!
Ooh Atlantic City! I was up that way a couple weeks ago. Also went to Wildwood beach along the shore too. The Atlantic ocean is FREEZING right now! SO worth it though, right??
That's so great that Diane's family is taking you to New York!!!
have a great time, I do hope you'll have some pics for us!
Enjoy your crumbcake...sounds like heaven!
We swam in the ocean a bit, the waves were HUGE. We had such a good time, I'll share some pics.
Glad you are having a fun vacation! great last update. Tim's Segway tour looked really fun! Interesting detail about the fountain. It sure did look hot!
We had a great time, he loved the tour. Yes, it was a very hot day!
I'm caught up on the updates and looking forward to more! The Segway tour sounds awesome!
Yeah! Glad you are caught up.
Hi Lesley!
Work kept me away for a while, but I'm all caught up! Great TR!
I had so many things to say - but my brain's on overload from this long day, and now I've forgotten! Most importantly wanted to tell you I was very touched by your blog tribute to Tim. You have a beautiful family - and I mean that in every sense of the word beautiful. You and Tim are best friends, it's obvious to see, and it also shows in how your kids are towards one another and others. A belated congrats to you both on 12 years of marriage! -It's a rare thing, and a blessing. (I'm one of the fortunate ones too - married to my DH/BFF for 28 yrs in June!)
Happy to hear you've enjoyed some great getaways with friends this summer! How fun! -My sis lives in N. NJ and we go into the city when we visit her--saw the Lion King on Broadway...awesome!
I've enjoyed Luke & Lauren's reactions to so many things on your trip! They are adorable kids! Luke is the lucky one getting picked so often...and tell Lauren the braided hair is a great look!
Enjoyed Tim's mini-TR about his Segway Tour. We enjoyed that a couple of years ago, and would love to do it again. Might do it while there in Nov. Reading all of the commentary refreshed my memory about the interesting trivia. I had forgotten about the intentional flaw in the fountain...very cool!
Apologies for the lengthy post...I lurk too much and post too little! -Looking forward to your next installment!
Glad you are all caught up, thank you so much for your extremely sweet post, it truly means a lot to us. You had a lot of great comments. We had a great Jersey Getwaway. Glad you are caught up, I'll be working on updates soon.
I bet you guys are having a blast, can't wait to hear all about it!! I also can't wait to hear about Carlos Bakery, we watch Cake Boss all the time, the sister's crack me upI don't think I'd find them half as funny if they were my sisters though
We did have a great time. I know what you mean about the sisters!
Subscribing! I read your trip reports last time I was lurking around here, planning my DD's first trip to the world in 2008. So happy there's new TimandLesley to read while planning her second trip! Your kids make me smile, such sweeties!
Welcome back, glad you found us again!
I am finally all caught up on your TR and totally loving it. That is so cool that you got Tim a segway tour!!! That looks like so much fun, I would love to do that someday. My dd (6) wants to try the Kim Possible mission next time we go, I think she would get a total kick out of it too. Your kids are just adorable and I have to say that your little girl always reminds me of that little cutie on the old show "7th Heaven"...I think it is the curly hair. So cute!
Glad you are caught up, it was a fun day for them. Thanks, I've gotten that comment about Lauren looking like "Ruthie" from that show a few times, too funny.
Hi again! - In that last paragraph, I should have said, I lurk too much and post too infrequently.

Silly me. Anyway, can't wait to hear more...I'm having me some TimandLesley trip report withdrawal!
No problem, I knew what you meant : )
Loving the trip report to far, excellent as always! Just watched your video from the email podcast as well! We'll be on the Dream next summer too, when do you sail?
Hope you're all doing well!
Kristen
We go June 21st, can't wait!
OOPS! Somehow I missed this and now I have 42 pages to catch up on! I'll be back!
Well, have fun catching up!
