Timandlesley's The Sum of Our Thrills TR w/ tons of pics&video 9/27 PTR link pg.58

Looks like you had a great night at O'hana's despite the bad service. Love all the pics especially the ones of the kids doing the hula. Enjoy it while you can they grow up much too quickly.

Lauren's hair looked adorable in braids !

Congradulations on your 12 year anniversary ! I read your blog and thought you summed up everything it takes to have a good marriage. I really believe that you are better parents and people when you take time out for yourselves. Enjoy your trip !

Great update....oh how we love OHANA!!!!! I just can't believe what horrible service you received!!!! YIKES! I hope you all complained! What I love though is how much fun you all had despite the yucky service. What a great night!

Happy Anniversary again to both you and Tim!!! I hope for many more blessed years of marital bliss for us all!!!!! Enjoy your big day!

What a lovely update. I am glad to hear you liked O'hana. I am really excited to eat there. I am sorry to hear that you had bad service though. Congrats on 12 years. Your blog post was great. My dh and I celebrated 11 years this past May.

Another fun update! That rain was the worst... we were at MK and were soaked to the bone, no parades or fireworks. Sorry O'Hana's service lacked, I felt that our last trip for dinner there too. Happy Anniversary!

Hi Lesley,
Your MK day update was great! Your TR's always make me miss Disney so much. Great job collecting fast passes. Sounds like you had so much fun with friends :). Sorry your server at 'Ohana was crappy. I have had bad service there more than once. We like the food though too. Glad you all still had fun and didn't let it ruin your night. Congrats on your 12th Anniversary!! I read your blog and it was so sweet it made me cry. Everything you wrote was perfect.

I was a little behind, but I'm all caught up now. 2 more great updates! I also loved your blog about you and Tim's 12 year's together, it was very lovely!

The pics of an empty Fantasyland were awesome! I hope we can pull that off in September. I also loved the "I'm Magical" shirt Luke was wearing that day.

I've never eaten at Ohana, but I hope to try it some time. Just not with the server you had! I actually tried for an ADR for our upcoming trip, but with free dining ressies were hard to come by and I couldn't get one that worked for us.

Terri

Before we knew it they were bringing out the desert:

Wow, Lesley! I missed this! But I'm here now. Better late than never, I guess. Now to catch up!

Wonderful update! I am sorry your server was crap, at least that didn't ruin your fun and it sounds like dinner was still delicious! Ohana is on our list for our next trip! We LOVE the Poly and ate at Kona this past trip and got to soak in all the beauty at the Poly! Great family pictures too, the kids look like they are having a blast like always!! LOVE the picture of Lauren with Mary Poppins and Bert too!!:goodvibes
Kona is wonderful, we eat there this trip too. We were thrilled to find Mary and Bert AND the short line was a huge bonus!
Congratulations on 12 years of marriage!!! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 That is truly a beautiful thing. I enjoyed the tribute on your blog too. :goodvibes

Despite not getting to MK and having cruddy service at Ohana, it does sound like a very fun evening with your friends! Looks like the kids had a blast dancing, Ohana is so fun and TASTY!
Thank you very much, glad you enjoyed the blog. Yes, we had a fun night.

Aw, what a great shot! :goodvibes

:cool1: I just love that feature!

THIS is what drives me nuts at 'Ohana... you never know what you're going to get. I've had a meal just like yours, and then I recently had one that was among the best ever. How hard is it to be consistent?! :confused3

Sigh. I so know how that goes. :sad2:

Have a wonderful anniversary!
Thanks, I love that pic of the kids too. Yeah, luckily the food and fun make it worth the bad service at OHana, but sure wish they could get on board with both.

Great update!! Mine and my husbands 11th anniversary is this Saturday....funny!!!! Well a very Happy Anniversary to you and Tim.....hope you have a wonderful weekend together!
Well Happy Anniversary, you picked a great day ; )

Nope, we didn't complain, probably should have, but didn't. Thank you for the anniversary wishes!

Great update, as usual.

Beautiful tribute. Happy 12th anniversary!
Thanks!

Hello Terri, glad you enjoyed the 2 updates and the blog.

Before we knew it they were bringing out the desert:

Oh... I love that dessert!!!!!!
I'm not a HUGE fan, but it tasted good onthat night.

Wow, Lesley! I missed this! But I'm here now. Better late than never, I guess. Now to catch up!
WELCOME!

Father’s Day had arrived, I was so excited to give Tim his gift. Well, we slept in (his choice and WHO am I to argue with that!!!) I woke up before everyone else (around 9:30 if I recall) and I headed down to Mara with Tim’s mug in hand. I got a warm breakfast for him and the kids and filled his mug with coffee. By the time I got back up to the room they were all getting up.
I gave Tim his card which revealed that HE WAS GOING ON A SEGWAY TOUR AROUND WORLD SHOWCASE TOMORROW!!!!! I informed him he would be going on the tour with Bryan. He was super excited and we were thrilled he was happy. They enjoyed their breakfast and we headed to the bus stop.

Tim chose Hollywood Studios:
103_7035640x480.jpg

The kids had fun playing with the games at the bus stop (don’t Lauren’s braids look cute):
103_7036640x480.jpg

There was this really nice young couple who approached Tim and Luke explaining that they were leaving that day and they didn’t want their arcade card to go to waste so they gave it to Luke, sooooo nice! Only in Disney!
103_7039640x480.jpg

Before we could enter the park today was the day to renew our annual passes. We headed up to the customer service gate. I had brought our Disney give a day get a day vouchers to use towards the purchase. Here on the Dis I had read that you needed to use them to buy a ticket, USE the ticket and then use that to upgrade for the annual pass renewal, well that was actually incorrect. The nice CM explained that to me and helped me apply the vouchers to renew our annual passes, it was close to a 300 dollar savings. We were each given a Volunt”ear” button to wear for the day:
103_7041640x480.jpg

When we got there we decided Rockin’ Roller Coaster is something we wanted to do so Tim headed down to grab Fast Passes for us. The kids and I were thrilled to see street performers, this has become one of my favorite things to do at the Studios. And HE is my favorite guy (Sherman):
103_7043640x480.jpg

Well I was THRILLED when Luke got pulled up to BE in the show!!!
103_7044640x480.jpg

I realized I should be video taping, so I did that (excuse my uncontrollable laughter throughout, I was so slap happy because Luke was so brave to do this, he gets VERY shy in these situations):
Click on the video to get it to play:

Happy Luke with the business card and keychain:
103_7046640x480.jpg

I was sad that Tim missed it but excited that I had it on video so he could watch it later.
Then we headed over to see what the wait time for Toy Story Mania was and on our way the High School Musical 3 show was going, a SUPER EXCITED Lauren started SPRINTING over there yelling “I WANNA SEE IT I WANNA SEE IT!!!!” How can you turn that and THIS face down:
103_7048640x480.jpg

I was happy she got to see the show for once (Luke thought it was torture)
Then we headed to Toy Story Mania. It was a 60 minute posted wait time, we decided to give it a go:
103_7056640x480.jpg

They didn’t have all of the back turnstyles open, we were all excited to ride:
103_7057640x480.jpg

103_7060640x480.jpg

103_7061640x480.jpg

Lauren asked me for the camera and snapped about 30 shots in the cue to pass the time. I narrowed down a few of her shots for you:
103_7066640x480.jpg

103_7064640x480.jpg

103_7071640x480.jpg

Loved her self portrait:
103_7072640x480.jpg

103_7074640x480.jpg

103_7086640x480.jpg

Then she snapped this one:
103_7062640x480.jpg

It’s funny, because we were happy she took this one. See the guy in the glasses in the photo. He was this gentleman who was there by himself, a HUGE Disney lover (obviously) as he was talking to anyone and everyone in the line about the ride, his excitement, etc. (he had some sort of learning disorder, as sweet as sweet can be). Well, Tim struck up a conversation with him- Tim: “I see you have a Figment pin, do you love Figment”
The guy: “Well, yes I do, I love that ride and that park, I was IN the park the day it opened” and he proceded to pull a gold certificate out of his fanny pack that he was given on the park opening, COOL!!!!
You never know who you will meet in a Disney line.
Luke stole the camera and snapped a self portrait as well:

Then he took this of Lauren spotting a hidden Mickey:
103_7089640x480.jpg

We got to the front of the line in about 45 minutes, it really went fast. Tim was going to ride with Luke to show him his “secrets” so they could open some boards:
103_7092640x480.jpg

I rode with my girl Lauren:
103_7094640x480.jpg

I didn’t do too shabby:
103_7095640x480.jpg

Tim did better and got the high score for our car:
103_7096640x480.jpg

They were so excited because they had unlocked all of the boards : )
We spotted a green army man on the way out:
103_7098640x480.jpg

We took time to play in the misters:
103_7100640x480.jpg

We got a bite to eat by the Honey I shrunk the Kids playground:
103_7102640x480.jpg

103_7104640x480.jpg

After lunch we split up. Lauren and I wanted to see Beauty and the Beast and Tim and Luke wanted to see Indiana Jones.
Before we went into the show Lauren and I scored Tower of terror Fast Passes for everyone:
103_7106640x480.jpg

Lauren was so excited to see the show:
103_7107640x480.jpg

We got there about 20 minutes before it started. We were in the front row on the right side of the stage, great seats. As always, I really enjoyed this show. Check out some of the pics from it (wish I had my good camera):

103_7142640x480.jpg

During the show it started storming a bit, but it didn’t effect our show, unfortunately for Tim and Luke they cut the Indiana Jones show short.
The boys met up with us and it was time to get our ROCK ON!
103_7143640x480.jpg

Who can resist the marbles??
103_7146640x480.jpg

We were all so excited, just LOVE this ride!!
103_7148640x480.jpg

I rode with Luke this time, we waited for the front car (only way to ride this ride in my opinion):
103_7149640x480.jpg

We ran over to Tower of Terror but we were 30 minutes before our Fast Pass Time, it was a DOWNPOUR at this point and the line was out in the rain so we decided to opt for a snack break on the floor of the gift shop while we waited for our fast pass time:
103_7151640x480.jpg

Our time came and we headed to ride. Lauren was so proud of herself because she kept her eyes open the whole time this time. The new ride add on’s were great (not going to spoil it for you but it involves your own image).
After our ride the rain had settled down so we headed for the gates:

It was such a great morning. I went in with low hopes thinking we wouldn’t get anything in because of our late arrival but it was our best Hollywood studios day in a while
103_7155640x480.jpg

We did our normal cut through the gift shop up to our room:
103_7157640x480.jpg

Then when we got up to the room my SWEET kids totally on their own decided they wanted to give Tim “rubs” for Father’s Day. Lauren got out a washcloth and washed his feet!!
103_7159640x480.jpg

IMG_7609640x480.jpg

And she put lotion on them and rubbed them:
IMG_7606640x480.jpg

SOOOOOOO sweet!
Then Tim got in bed and Luke gave him a nice massage (again, they came up with this ALL on their own):

What a great Father's Day so far for Tim! Your kids are the sweetest! :lovestruc You really did get a good bit done despite the late arrival and rain. :thumbsup2

I'm looking forward to hearing how Tim liked the segway tour. DH did it in 2007 and absolutely loved it!

What a great DHS morning! Sometimes, you just have to sleep in. And you got a lot done in one morning.

The segway tour is such a great gift.

What a special Fathers Day!!

The kids are so sweet to do all that for Tim...:)

Have a great weekend!

What a wonderful Father's Day for Tim. The kids looked like they really enjoyed pampering him. Enjoy your Anniversary weekend. Can't wait to hear about it :).

What a nice Father's Day so far. Your kids sound so sweet. I know Tim appreciated their thinking of him. I can't wait to hear how Tim liked his Segway Tour. I think it would be a really fun thing to do. My husband would have chosen to sleep late for as well. I'm glad you still got a lot done.

Happy Anniversary and congratulations on 12 years.
