Resort Thread Walt Disney World SWAN, DOLPHIN & SWAN RESERVE Resorts

Wondering if Disney gift cards can be used at the Swan for room payment? I’m thinking no since the hotels are not Disney. Thanks

We are set to stay at the Swan in January. What is the best way to get to the hotel from the airport?
We used to call, I think it was Tony? but he has retired.

The transportation board has lots of car service reviews. I’ve been using gear fusion lately. Rideshare is probably cheapest but depends on your needs. Minnie Van is the fanciest but idk if their airport service includes Swolphin.

thanks for the response.
A question about going to Disney Springs . Does the bus from the Swan go to the same place as the buses to other disney hotels? I cant tell by the map and the info on the Swan website. Would it be better to take a bus from one of the other Epcot hotels?

No the Swan / Dolphin bus stop is not where the Disney resort buses stop. It is on the West side of DS by House of Blues, and Cirque du Soleil.

I have been using Tiffany Towncar for years.

Some people use the Mears shuttle bus.

PP mentioned Gear Fusion; sometimes there is a discount code on the transportation board for this one.

PP also mentioned rideshare (Uber/Lyft).

Minnie Van service will be pricey, but it does go to the Swan: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/guest-services/minnie-van-service/

We did Gear Fusion on our last trip and couldn’t have been more impressed. They patiently waited during my whole luggage debacle when I had to make a claim for missing luggage. I definitely tipped our driver extra for that. He even texted me a link for what I was entitled to per the new federal law.

A few quick questions, have our first Swan stay coming up. :)

After mvmcp, what is the best way to get back to the Swan? Boardwalk bus?

We have a standard two queen room booked. What is the best room request to minimizing walking?

TIA!

Yes Boardwalk, then YC or BC in that order. For the BW take the walkway from the bus stop right up with everyone else, straight to the outside stairs down to the boardwalk level on the right side of the lobby or stop in the lobby for a restroom break (right side of the lobby). Turn left at the Screen Door food store onto the boardwalk and walk directly to the Swan.

We always ask for the main section which is directly between the East and West wings where the Elevators are located. That way you have a short walk either direction from your room.

For anyone who has used the Swan/Dolphin buses to MK, what was your experience with when the buses started running ?

I'd imagine the bus schedule can vary, but I'm wondering what the most common time has been for others.

I know a lot of people walk to Boardwalk and use the Disney bus to avoid the TTC. But, I'm leaning towards taking the Swan bus.

I like the idea of lower crowds at the Swan bus stop. I'm going during Presidents day, which I know will be busy. I'm figuring the Boardwalk bus stop will be much busier than the Swan bus stop.

I've never used the TTC, and the idea of riding the monorail into MK sounds fun to me.

They normally start about 6:30 AM depending on the MK Early Entry hours, and they run about every 20 minutes. If you are going during the busy Presidents week. The Monorails will be busy, and even the Ferry to MK.

The Express Monorail runs directory to MK from the TTC through the Contemporary (Counter Clockwise) while the Resort Monorail runs clockwise and stops at the Poly and GF on the way to MK.
